He looked horribly disheveled, reeked of cigarettes and touched my dogs anal access without gloves. Just poked it with his bare finger. Gross. I found Manteca Vet online Yelp and they've all been amazing. The staff is super caring and helpful! So glad to find them! We just moved to Manteca, but I still frequent the Bay Area weekly. Having lived in the Bay Area, my beautiful dog, Snow and I were extremely loyal to our vet in the Bay Area. Because of that, we found it so difficult for us to find a new vet. When I called Manteca Veterinary Hospital to inquire about finding another primary vet for Snow, I was welcomed with all the right information and sympathy for her that I booked her first visit asap. Snow's been having a lot more needs at her old age and having a primary here in Manteca AND the Bay Area was extremely important for us. We felt right at home and the staff thoroughly enjoyed Snow's presence today! They were able to provide me with everything I needed to upkeep her daily medicine and let me know they were there for Snow if anything else was needed. Amazing people! read more

We've brought both our dog and cat here. Our kitty got her Angel wings here awhile back and Dr. Arnet was just so gentle and compassionate. We then brought our beloved dog here too. Both of them lived a long full life but then our doggy got sick. We again saw Dr. Arnet who help with options for treatment or at home care and took her time to go into detail of each as well as to inform me of how to determine it might be time which I was struggling with to the very end. When it was time just recently I was beside my self and went into the office where Caitlyn saw how emotional I was and brought me into a private room to discuss end of life options. She helped me find a in home vet who were also wonderful. Unfortunately our little guy took an extreme turn for the worse and didn't make that appointment. Care for our beloved pets who are our family members are important but when it comes to them being sick or getting ready to leave us we need compassion, gentleness, kindness, and people who care to take the extra steps to help you navigate. I have been taking my dogs to them for years. I've also been getting their nails trimmed there for many years. I just got charged almost $40 to get a nail trim . $36.50 to be exact . It was like $27 Jessica a couple months ago. They increased their prices almost $10 just for a nail trim. It used to be $35 just to go in and have the vet. See your your pet. That's just a nail trim. I'm shocked and very very disappointed. It's cheaper for me to now drive my dogs to Tracy now to get their toes trimmed then to stay here in town I'm just shocked. read more

We came to the point where our beloved family dog needed to be put down. Nobody ever wants to have to make that choice, but Manteca Vet Hospital made the process as easy as it could possibly be. Everyone was very supportive, understanding, and professional. The process was explained after an initial exam was completed. We were able to sit on the floor with him as he took his last breaths. I have been taking my dogs to see Dr Arnett for quite a while now. I started taking my last dog, Vasco, when he got up there in age and became a very grouchy old man. He was not nice to them and required a muzzle and medication, but they always treated him with care up until I had to make the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. He went peacefully and Dr Arnett and Casey were so helpful, despite him not letting anybody touch him (including me). I started taking my new puppy, Luca, to them and he is a sensitive boy. He loves Dr Arnett, Cassondra, and especially Jackie. Whenever I say their names, his little ears perk up and he'll playfully bark. He can be a little fearful, but they know how to work with him. We started taking him for vet tech appointments to get him used to the clinic and staff and it was worth it. He can still be a little neurotic and cautious, but we all work through it. I have nothing but respect for the Manteca Veterinary staff and completely trust them with my baby and future babies. read more

My dog Toa has been here since he was born and I haven't had any complaints, the staff and very friendly and very attentive doctors are very nice and informative. Appt can get a little overwhelming with availability but they are prompt with text up to date shots and send out email reminders which is very convenient, the facilities are nice and clean. read more

My poor ESA, Ziva, I've taken her to jacqueline several times and not been disappointed. But the last time I took her to be groomed it took 5 hours (no tip here). I even had to call to see if she was ready. It was quite awhile before I took her back but I broke down and she had an appointment at 9:30am on Thursday, May 19th. I again called at 1:30pm to see if Ziva was done. The receptionist told me not until 3:30pm. By now my anxiety level is through the roof but I was calm when I picked her up. Again NO tip and boy am I glad. She comes home and has a cut on the side of her nose where the razor got to close and she is so silly looking with uneven ears. Amazing, professional front desk staff and the "BEST, attentive, patient, knowledgeable Veterinarian named Dr.Lake!! Dr. Lake epitomizes what all veterinarians should be. She is the most professional, educated, friendliest, patient and emphatethic Doctor we've ever met. This coming from a family that's had pet family members for 20 years of experience with numerous veterinarians from the Bayarea to Central Valley. We wished that we had met Dr. Lake before our beloved "Buddy" an American Staffordshire Terrier passed away last year at the age of 16. We adopted "Buddy" from the East Bay animal shelter in 2000 and he lived until 2016. During the 16 year time frame. "Buddy" had numerous surgeries to his hips for arthritis/hip displasia correction and treatment. Ear and tail surgery secondary to cancer nodules. The follow up treatment for him with other vets were not even half way of a good job or experience as he could have had if he was under the care of Manteca Veterinary Hospital. The ladies in at the front counter are awesome. Very patience, explain all of your options. Dr. Arnett is really good. She is great with my dogs , patience, kind and takes her time. . The assistant Alissa is abrupt, talks SUPER fast, when you ask questions to clarify, she seems to be irritated. When I asked question about some thing she said , she told me, " you keep interrupting me before I can finish". She even gave the shots so fast that my little guy got hurt. I'm not even sure that he got all one serum. I seen a lot of it on the floor and in the syringe. The lady at the front counter was really awesome. She was able to explain all the options and the costs. As far as recommending this location, I wouldn't hold this particular assistant against them. I've been going to this location for eight years. Dr. Arnett is my third veterinarian at this location. Dr. Lake was my first she was awesome and Dr. Arnett is also awesome. The ladies at the counter have been always helpful. read more

I took our new puppy here after he got hurt in his eye. Everyone here is great, and Dr. Lake did a great job in getting our puppy back in healthy shape. I originally took him to a vet much closer to me, but I had a feeling they were all about the $$$ and tried to get me to do all kinds of tests for parvo for our puppy when he clearly DID not have parvo (he had 2 rounds of shots already, and his energy was up the roof). They wanted to charge us $500 for the tests! Anyways, this hospital on Moffett is much more reasonable in price and they seem like they really care about the animals they see. My dog Monaco ate an entire box of chocolate wafers. I called manteca vetanary and they had me bring him in. They vomited him and gave him charcoal treatment. They got all the chocolate. They called me the next day to make sure Monaco was okay. It cost 264 dollars but my Monaco is doing very well. They saved my baby monaco's life. They are amazing. read more

My wife and I found a very sick kitten while out walking one morning. She was limp and almost lifeless. I called the vet and they didn't have any appointments but we're able to get her in urgently as a walk in. She was hypothermic and hypoglycemic and clinging to life. Amazingly they were able to start an IV on her and stabilize her. We ended up taking her to Standiford Emergency Clinic for round the clock care for the next 3 days and she pulled through but I wholeheartedly believe that without the quick compassionate staff at Manteca she wouldn't have made it through. I moved from out of state where I had the most amazing veterinarian who took care of my dog like it was her own baby. I walked in with big shoes to fill. This place was amazing and great with my fur baby. I was expecting to have to put my 12 yo Sheppard down. After speaking with the vet she encouraged me to do what I was comfortable with but gave me all the information. Most vets will push their opinion regardless of your feelings. Dr. Ten gave her professional opinion and then filled in information on all aspects. We ended up getting my dog on some other meds that are keeping him more comfortable and moving better. I was so pleased with my vet, Allison Ten, that I will be coming back here for all my vet needs. I took a long shot and asked if Destinee, the groomer, is able to deal with challenging dogs. When calling to confirm she had the most wonderful and in-depth consultation the day before. When dropping him off I was positive she would call me telling me she couldn't groom him and to pick him up. The only call I received was he is ready and did great! I was so impressed since I have had seasoned K-9 handlers that haven't been able to get close enough pet, let alone groom my dog. I love how they're so professional and polite every time I come in for an appointment. The hospital was welcoming, friendly, and clean. I love Dr. Predmore and highly recommend her. She did great handling Lily because Lily tends to be skiddish around strangers however Lily was fine with her. She's very understanding, patient, and knowledgeable. All the questions I had she answered for me. Definitely recommend going here because it's more affordable than other clinics that I have went to and they're very understanding! So like many others that have posted we transferred here from another veterinary place. We do not look back and regret the decision. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and explain what they are intending to do...they answer questions in a manner that is understandable. Our 5 stars are not necessarily for this but instead the follow up they provide. Staff call to check in on how my sickly dog is doing and to provide updates on tests that are performed. For example, my dog went in for an abdominal ultrasound to rule out causes for his seizures. This was at 10 am at their sister/connected facility. We expected a call the next day, but instead the doctor called us that evening to report out on the results. In addition their facility is clean and does not emit heavily cleaning solution smells. -Bonus!!!! read more

Took my Rottweiler here. They didn't diagnose my Rottweiler correctly and put him on the wrong meds. It worsened his condition and they told us they had no time to see him. We took him to a different vet and they said it was too late so we had to put my dog down. read more

Called to get some pricing information and the receptionist was incredibly and unnecessarily rude. I've been in the customer service industry for a good majority of my life and understand how to speak to customers respectfully. The woman who answered my call was completely out of line and disrespectful. She clearly didn't want to answer my questions and had a terrible, uninterested attitude. I never ever write negative reviews, but I'm pretty floored at the way this business allows its employees to speak to customers. For that reason, I do not recommend this place. read more
