Such a friendly place! My little boy was having issues and I have been to vet clinics who would say " he's fine " .. then be done. The Dr , really tried to figure out what was going on. I appreciate the staffing! See you guys soon for the recheck

I have been going to Golden Valley Vet for about 3 years now since I previously had bad experiences at 3 other local vets. I have had nothing but great visits, they take very good care of both my pups, both Drs listen to my concerns,, all staff front and back know my girls and I by 1st name. Always helpful, via phone call, email or in office. We wont take our girls anywhere else!

I am so very thankful to have found Golden Valley Vet! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Scheduling was easy, and the staff was beyond helpful. They performed an EKG before my dog's dental cleaning to ensure he would handle sedation safely, which gave me so much peace of mind. They ended up pulling nine teeth, and the care they provided was top-notch. They kept me updated throughout the entire process, and the cost was very affordable compared to other places. I will 100% make the hour-and-a-half drive to continue my dog's dental care here. Thank you so much to the entire team at Golden Valley Vet!

Bandit bloody toe nail was cut way far into the quick.

My mom has brought her dog here for the last 3 years. They're very Overpriced, the lady at the front desk is rude every time. Today, there was an awful lot of yelping coming from bandit,in the back. They bright him out and we paid and left. He's got long hair on his feet but when I looked at his toe nails, they were cut so far down into the quick, it was no wonder he cried so much.

I had brought my dog here when I first adopted her and she came super sick. We did the bloodwork and treatment and she's been great so far. I recently today had to bring my kitten in on a last minute emergency appointment when she was running a VERY high fever of 105.6. They did what they needed, administer fluids, did X-rays and blood work. I just got my little one home and glad she's feeling much better. I love everyone who works here, they are great people. The staff are so kind and I'm happy we found our forever vet clinic

Once I finally was able to commit to a date, the correspondence I received from TPA was clear and helpful. I was told when to begin restricting food/water, what time to arrive, and the details of the check-in process. As directed, I arrived by 8am and notified office staff. I was quickly greeted by the vet tech, Jill, who was absolutely the best. Jill was warm, patient, and knowledgeable. She let me see where the procedure would be preformed and where Zero would be held, and explained when/why she would call (if blood work was concerning, if it wasn't safe to sedate, if they had suggested extractions). Despite being nervous, Jill definitely helped me feel better about leaving my boy in her care. Since his bloodwork was fine, the next time I heard from Jill was when she called to share suggested extractions. She briefly reviewed the dentition of a dog, explained where there were areas of concern in Zero's mouth, and was able to give me monetary figures when asked. She took time to consider my follow-up questions and I felt the interaction was professional while being empathetic and frank. At no time did I feel that she was trying to upsell me or otherwise get more money out of me. When I picked Zero up, Jill came out holding him. She sat with me and reviewed his bloodwork line by line, his X-rays, and showed me before and after pictures of his teeth. She also provided me with clearly labeled medications. We talked about food and general aftercare, including what I might observe, and I felt comfortable about heading home. We are now at the tail end of recovery and Zero has done fantastic, and I truly attribute a lot of that to Jill & her efforts. Thank you!

Our old Vet's office in Turlock changed ownership and they no longer had any of our dog's medical records, so we decided to just start over with a new vet. We found Dr Raj's reviews and decided to give him a try. We had a positive experience at this Vet's office. They keep a clean office, there is plenty of room in the waiting area to keep pets a safe distance from each other, and the staff was very professional in their handling of us. Dr Raj took the time to educate us about a few things, which I really appreciated. He examined our dog, who was scared and anxious about being at the Vet's office, with a very gentle hand and I could tell that he won her trust. The Vet's assistant was also very kind and informative, and I felt that she really took the time to connect with our dog as well. Dr Raj came up with a plan of action, and our dog is already showing signs of improvement in response to the treatment plan that we are faithfully following. I think we found our new Vet.

I am writing this review to express my sincere appreciation for the entire staff at Northgate…read moreVeterinary Hospital. I have been bringing my personal dogs, as well as the many rescue dogs I have fostered over the years, to Northgate for over 25 years. First, I want to address the negativity I see in reviews. Take a minute to think about what the staff here deals with! Incredibly difficult, high-stress situations daily (which I have contributed to on occassion - sorry) from delivering a devastating diagnosis to assisting a family saying a final goodbye to a beloved pet. It's not always puppies and kittens! They are focused on providing the best possible care, not winning a popularity contest. It takes immense grace and emotional stamina to do what they do, and I ask everyone to consider that before posting an unkind comment. You never know what they are going thru on any given day! Give them some grace and think about it before posting! The reason I have remained a loyal client for over two decades is simple: the Northgate veterinarians truly listen to their clients. I experienced a life-and-death situation with one of my dogs several years ago after visiting a different clinic. I repeatedly asked the vet for an ultrasound due to my Malinois's enlarged stomach, (it just looked odd) but I was told an X-ray would suffice. (I did not know at the time that an xray will not show a tumor - I listened to the vet) I was told nothing was there and that he was just over weight. I should have listened to my gut. Two months later, he became lethargic; I finally got the ultrasound I had asked for which revealed a tumor on his spleen had burst (Hemangiosarcoma), and I had to say goodbye and was devestated - he was only 6.. Had the ultrasound been performed earlier, perhaps it may have been caught in time and he would still be here with me. At Northgate, when I raise a serious concern or request a specific procedure, the doctors always take the time to talk through it with me and calm my craziness. They are never dismissive and always address my concerns with genuine care. I am not the easiest to deal with when it comes to my dogs. I am incredibly grateful for the dedication of Dr. Enz and Dr. Fitzpatrick, and I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Johnston as well. Every single staff member at Northgate is amazing, and I am grateful for the exceptional care they provide to my pets.

In fact I have held sometimes over 20 minutes and nobody every comes back to help me. Just because it's not an emergency and I am willing to hold that does not mean FOREVER! After you help your customer in line then it's my turn please. Oh also, you had better have a LOT of money because this place will not start with the basic things. They immediately head right to the easiest way to make as much money as possible. Cat got a wheeze and lost a couple pounds? Let's run bloodwork for $650. That all came back fine? Oh ok, then let's do an Xray for $650. All clear there? Doc basically refuses anything else but an exam of the GI for $750. We pass on the GI test and the breathing get's worse. Call back and now they want to start the process over again with chest Xrays for another $650. How about starting out small and do some steroids or an antibiotic first? I guess that's not going to make them enough money. Imagine going into a doctor and saying you have a fever and a cough and they immediately send you in for Xrays and bloodwork and CT scans and an MRI just for the hell of it. Hey Jules ... Not everyone has a money tree in the back yard.
