I cannot thank Dr. Ross enough for truly helping my kitten when we needed it most…read more Last year, I adopted a kitten who recently developed a severe allergic reaction to something in our environment (either food or a household cleaner). I initially took her to another vet in town, and it was a complete nightmare. They charged me a fortune ($$$) and put her on heavy, unnecessary medications. When I called them a few days later to report that she wasn't getting any better, their actual response was, "Don't know what to tell you." Frustrated and looking for answers, I made an appointment with Dr. Ross. The difference was night and day. He thoroughly checked her out, got right to the root of the problem, and confirmed it was simply allergies. Instead of masking the issue with a cocktail of pills, he gave her a single steroid shot and clearly explained exactly what elements to avoid at home. Thanks to him, my kitten is doing fantastic and we are finally all good! Dr. Ross is incredibly straightforward, takes the actual time to investigate the cause of an illness, and focuses on the right solution rather than just racking up a bill. If you want a vet who genuinely cares and gives honest, effective care, see Dr. Ross

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Miller and the entire team at Paws and Claws…read moreVeterinary Hospital. My 11-year-old Chihuahua, Sancho, needed extensive dental surgery, and I was incredibly anxious about him undergoing anesthesia. Dr. Miller is the only veterinarian I trusted to perform this procedure, and that trust was absolutely justified. I arrived at 8 AM and stayed at the hospital until Sancho was ready to come home. I explained that I wanted to remain nearby throughout his surgery, and the staff welcomed me without hesitation. They were incredibly kind and accommodating during the more than seven hours I spent there. They checked on me, offered me snacks and coffee, brought me a warm blanket because I was freezing, and made sure I was comfortable. Every interaction reflected genuine compassion. Sancho's dental disease was extensive, requiring 19 extractions. Dr. Miller took the time to explain the findings and the work she performed. I appreciated her thoroughness, transparency, and attention to his care. When Sancho was finally brought out to me, he was awake, alert, and so excited to see his mama that he practically tried to jump into my arms! Seeing him safely through such a significant procedure meant everything to me. The following morning, I also discovered that his nails had been trimmed, something I had completely forgotten to request. Nail trimming is extremely distressing for Sancho, so realizing the team had apparently taken care of it while he was under anesthesia was such a thoughtful surprise. Veterinary care is about more than treating an animal. It's also about recognizing the relationship between that animal and the person who loves them. This team understood that Sancho is family, and they treated both of us with kindness, patience, and respect. I'm deeply grateful to Dr. Miller and everyone who cared for my boy. Sancho is home, recovering, eating enthusiastically, and getting all the love and cuddles he deserves. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my baby. Muscat Family

She was excreting puss from her uterus and was clinging to life. When no other clinic in Sacramento would make time to see her, I reached out to Grantline Veterinary Hospital and despite being over an hour away and fully booked, they showed me compassion and agreed to see my dog. They did a round of X-rays on her, gave her subcutaneous fluids, antibiotics, and sound advice to de-stress her that you don't find online. That was Tuesday evening. I didn't really notice the difference until Wednesday night when she had a full 24 hours of antibiotics and I was able to relocate her pups to a certified whelper. She started eating again, vigorously at that. Her internal puss discharge decreased by 95%, and her energy levels went back to normal. Now not even 66 hours later, I have my old dog back! She's jumping around like the puppy she once was! Thank you Doc! Please listen to these guys. They will save your dogs life!

I am incredibly thankful to Dr. Haburjak and his wonderful team for the exceptional care,…read morecompassion, and dedication they showed to my dog, Gui Gui. Gui Gui had been limping since last Wednesday, and Dr. Haburjak's team was able to quickly find an appointment for us that Monday. During the visit, Dr. Haburjak performed a very thorough physical examination and determined that he did not believe Gui Gui's knee was the source of the problem. He carefully identified the hock as a possible source and immediately referred us to a specialist. What touched me most was how much Dr. Haburjak personally did to make sure Gui Gui received the care he needed as quickly as possible. He immediately called and texted the specialist to help get Gui Gui seen as soon as possible. He also sent us a detailed and thoughtful email explaining his concerns and introduced us directly to the specialist. He went above and beyond to make sure there was a smooth transition of care. It turned out that Gui Gui had a serious infection in his hock--septic arthritis. I truly believe Dr. Haburjak's careful examination, clinical judgment, quick action, and genuine concern for Gui Gui made all the difference. His prompt identification of the problem and immediate referral helped Gui Gui receive the urgent treatment he needed. In my heart, I truly believe he saved Gui Gui's life. I feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing surgeon and such a wonderful team in the area where I live. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing that Gui Gui is in the hands of people who genuinely care about their patients. I cannot thank Dr. Haburjak and his entire team enough for everything they did for Gui Gui. I truly appreciate their kindness, professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I would like to preface by saying that I don't like leaving poor reviews for companies…read more First, I'd like to start by saying the welcoming staff IN PERSON here was great. Very friendly and thoughtful. My complaints are not directly to anyone, but mostly being misled by what this hospital can do and when it can be done. I scheduled a consultation with internal medicine for August 4th. At the time of scheduling, I let them know that I was referred to them for a rhinoscopy and CT for my dog. They told me over the phone they sometimes can do the procedure the same day but it's uncommon. I understood that but still scheduled, hopeful that they could still do a rhinoscopy in the near future as it was something my primary vet urged me to do soon. They had me pay the consultation fee on same day to confirm my appointment, which I didn't question at the time. Keep in mind, they knew I needed a rhinoscopy with internal medicine specifically at the time I made this call. At the time of our appointment, we met with Dr. Louis who was very knowledgeable and kind. When I asked him about scheduling the rhinoscopy, he said they do not have the equipment needed for that procedure at this hospital (IronHorse) and he is only in the hospital that has the equipment (OakVet) ONCE A MONTH. Adding to that, he was out of town in August so we were looking at September. When I asked the nurse about September, she said there was a line so it's possible we couldn't get in. At this time, I was feeling very frustrated because I felt so misled that they knew the procedure couldn't be done anytime soon but still took my money for the consultation fee and led me to believe this hospital could perform the procedure. If I knew OakVet was the one that had the equipment, I would've just scheduled there. But this information was never offered to me over the phone at the time of scheduling the initial consult. I was told the estimate for the future procedure would be sent to me by the end of the week (this was Tuesday 8/4) and didn't receive anything by Friday. I called on Friday and they said end of day, and I did not receive anything end of day. I called again on Monday and they said they are backed up, I should have it soon. It's now 8/16 and I have not received a call or email with my estimate. Overall, the communication and professionalism of some staff at this hospital is not something I'd subject myself to again. I think once they finish the merge with OakVet, it could function better but if you're looking to get a rhinoscopy and CT, I would look elsewhere. We were able to go to Sage Dublin that same week and have the procedure done. All other vets in the area that I called were very transparent about how booked they were and if they have the equipment to perform the procedure I asked about.
