Well mannered doggo out and about in Half Moon Bay. Showing of his skills he was trained. - A Doberman dog with a black and tan coat is sitting outdoors on a patio, wearing a green harness and a red collar. The background includes a wooden bench, a blue Adirondack chair, and a sign for Hop Dogma Brewing Co. The patio features tiled flooring, barrels, and drinks on tables, indicating a brewery setting.

I gave K9 development a five if there was a 100 I would do the same. I can't begin to rave about this place. They transformed my dog Majer into a well-mannered boy. We love the place so much and everyone there that our second doberman will be attending board and train in a couple of months. I love this place so much that I pay the extra money for them to be boarded and/or daycare because I trust them and the doggies love it there. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Cobra! - A mixed-breed dog with black, white, and tan fur is sitting on a grassy field in a park. The dog has one ear upright and the other slightly flopped, with a happy expression and tongue out. The background shows trees, a fence, and playground equipment, indicating an outdoor recreational area.

This is a long overdue review for an outstanding business. Our wild but loving dog cobra was running off and not listening to us. All dog owners want a dog that has consistent recall. Cobra had been to another facility on several occasions, but we didn't feel like we got the customer service we deserved and the training was not showing. I found K9 development, and instantly felt a difference from the first phone call. They are very responsiveness and it seems they genuinely care about your dog and your individual goals. They definitely are not the cheapest when it comes to board and train, but you get what you pay for here. When we picked cobra up after a two week board and train, he was able to go off leash. They didn't even promise off leash in two weeks but he was a different dog. His life is better and so is ours! Thank you K9 development!!!

Khan loves K9 Development in Tracy! - A black and brown dog with expressive eyes is sitting on a person's lap, looking up at the camera. The background shows a bookshelf and a carpeted floor, indicating an indoor setting. The dog appears alert and engaged, with one ear slightly folded and the other perked up.

Awhile back my wife was searching for a suitable and capable training facility for our Australian Kelpie, Khan! He is a 3 year old rescue from the Tracy Animal Shelter. Kelpie's are naturally very active. They love to play and jump! But Khan spent some time on the streets before he was rescued and it was obvious early on he had some behavior issues and would need training. We found K9 Development in Tracy, CA. Their facility and staff is truly AMAZING!!! They embraced the opportunity to help train Khan and thus far have done an INCREDIBLE job!!! We enrolled him in private lessons at first, and then joined a group training class. I honestly didn't think he would come this far in this short a period of time. It's nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. We are following through with everything we have learned at home and he is responding. Amy is the head trainer/part owner and she ROCKS! Khan loves seeing her and she loves working with Khan. We do not hesitate to give K9 Development a 5-star rating. Thank you all so much!

We have done training before, but this is a specific issue we needed to address, so we looked around and found Wendy's website, and read the Yelp review. She was responsive to my calls and we set up a training date. During the call to set up the training, she made clear she uses positive reward training, which is what we wanted. We don't believe in yelling at the dog or shocking her and freaking her out. We had the training at my sister in laws, because that's where the problem happens, and also so my SIL could get in on how to fix the problem. Wendy was gentle, funny, pleasant, and most of all, knew her stuff. She put together a plan that we can follow, and sent a written report to my email, with all the steps, so we can remember what we are supposed to do. She spent almost 2 hours with us, longer than we expected. She's also a lot of fun and that makes the experience much more enjoyable for the dog and humans. I recommend Wendy if your dog has a problem behavior that needs some work. Some of it is training the human, and Wendy's good natured approach goes a long way in accomplishing that, and some of it is training the dog, and she knows how to give the tools to do that. Wendy is a great dog trainer.

I rescued another dog who needed training for pulling and aggression towards other dogs. I opted to use my prior 2 weeks and pay an additional 1k to train my new dog. Everything was set for early January of 2025, but my mom died on the 16th and I couldn't keep the schedule. When I began attempting to contact Daniel in March, he was MIA. I felt bad for him and thought there must have been a tragedy in his family. Not so, he is just dodging me. I dont care about the lost 2 weeks. I just want my 1k back. Shame on you. Back in March, I was told that my dog Shadow could be scheduled for a refresher in June due to one of the trainers resigning. I understood the situation and was more than willing to wait. I even responded promptly, confirming that June would work and asking to be placed on the calendar. As June approached, I reached out again -- multiple times -- to follow up and get a specific date set. My messages were never responded to. It's now the end of June. At this point, I just want my money back so I can take my dog elsewhere to someone who's reliable and professional the least you can do is communicate and issue a refund.
