Alright this was my first and last time.. DON'T USE CHRISTY'S PET GROOMING! First off, they told me…read morePippa needs to go pee before entering their building because she peed in one of their crates today. Mind you, my dog did go pee before we went inside.. and they had her for 2 hours. Pippa is used to going outside every 30mins-2hours to potty. Secondly- they said oh she's probably not house trained... UM WHAT?! My dog IS house trained. I've worked very hard to get her house trained (we still have accidents but that's to be expected) Thirdly- "oh you're dog is probably a rescue dog" WHY DOES IT MATTER IF SHE IS OR ISN'T? Yes, she is a rescue dog, i got her 2 hours before she was going to be euthanized. Fourth- "she tilts her head so she might be uneven" umm okay, the other groomer never had an issue with that And last BUT not LEAST- they razor burned her paws all 4 of them.. I just noticed this when she was laying down. When I touch it she yelps in pain. What kind of groomer says that kind of stuff?! I am OUTRAGED! my baby means the world to me! Yes, she's not perfect at all but she's still a dog and dogs need to be treated like family no matter where they're at.

Darlene does beautiful work…read more The shop has plenty of parking right next to the building, opposite the French Cleaners, which is very convenient. The interior is simple and functional. Our papillon mix came home looking very sharp. He was, however, 'nippy' towards the end of his session, which has never happened before. We figured it might be because he's getting a bit moody as he's aging. We will definitely give it another try though, she does a thorough job, and he looked very handsome when we came to get him. Hoping they get along better next time.

Darlene specializes in grooming small dogs, and she does an exceptional job. My Shih Tzus always come home looking beautiful, feeling happy, and impeccably groomed. She thoroughly cleans their ears, treats any itchy skin with specialty shampoos, and has an incredible eye for noticing changes in their skin or overall health. Whenever she spots something that may need attention, she always lets me know. It's obvious that she truly understands dogs and genuinely cares about their well-being. Over the past 23 years, Darlene has groomed all eight of my Shih Tzus--from my first pair, to my next four, and now my current two. That's more than two decades of consistently outstanding service, and I have never had a single complaint. What I love most is how excited my dogs get when it's time for their grooming appointment. They practically race to see Darlene because, to them, it's a fun social event! That says everything about the loving environment she has created. I trust Darlene completely with my fur babies and know they are always in the very best hands. If you're looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and caring groomer for your small dog, I wholeheartedly recommend her!

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received from this company,…read morespecifically from Nikki. Despite initially receiving accommodating service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nikki's service has since been consistently unreliable. She frequently attempts to reschedule my dog's appointments, canceling and postponing them without adequate notice. I have made appointments months in advance, as required by Nikki, yet my dog is consistently prioritized last. The most recent incident occurred when I had scheduled an appointment for October 3, which Nikki initially denied. However, I provided proof of the scheduled appointment, and she subsequently requested my dog's shot records at 9:30 p.m. (who does that ) I've been with her a few years and always tolerated but no more. I am extremely dissatisfied with Nikki's service and would not recommend her company. I hope others do not experience the same level of disappointment.

Our dog Staxx has been in a biting phase this past month giving my husband 12 stitches and nipping me as well we were going to put him down with no hope in making this work, but Chelle showed up - she showed us exactly what we have been doing wrong all along. Day 1 today and we are already seeing such an improvement on behavior and walks I honestly feel that Chelle is heaven sent for dog and their owners! We will continue working with her and Staxx, she responds fast and is so informative and dependable, God knew who needed in this stressful time I must admit last night was the first time I got a good rest in months. We will have the tools to turn this around and it really starts with us humans first! I can't thank you enough Chelle you gave us hope for our pack and life for Staxx!

So today I picked up my dog in a box, to take home and put next to my other dog in a box, on a shelve, and for some reason when I'm in dark times my brain tries to insulate itself with dark humor... Like "Hey why does it cost almost $600 to cook a dog when I can buy a whole roasted chicken at Costco for $5.99?". Anyways, when picking up the remains of your dog it's kinda' hard to remember stuff to ask while you're there, like "hey I noticed my dogs collar and leash she was wearing when I left her there aren't in the bag". I had too much on my mind to think of that at the time. Do I wanna go back and pick the collar and leash up? Why would I want a continuation of my sorry for even that. I gave Northgate 4 stars, would have been 5 stars if not for the collar and leash thing. Update: after talking to my wife, she said they gave her the collar and leash, Pertinent info for me, but apparently her boring stories about her co-workers & related gossip seems to hold precedence over anything important to ME.

I sent my 10-month-old Australian Shepherd to board and train with Olivia and, in the best way…read morepossible, he came back a different dog: the same sweet personality, but with dramatically better self-control. I enrolled him for three weeks and ended up adding a fourth. His biggest challenges were reactivity, anxiety, recall, and staying engaged with me around distractions. Before training, he would bark and lunge at strangers, bolt through open doors, and ignore commands the moment something more interesting appeared. Now he's calm on and off leash, reliably holds commands until released, and consistently checks back in with me instead of running off. What impressed me most wasn't just the behavior change, it was the foundation Olivia built. Nix now understands how to look to me for guidance when he's distracted, stressed, or uncertain. The results have been more durable and meaningful than anything I achieved through months of research, classes, private lessons, and thousands of dollars spent on training. I was initially skeptical of board and trains, and balanced training methods, particularly e-collars and slip leads, because of so many traumatic videos out there. Olivia completely changed my perspective. She uses these tools thoughtfully, gently, and effectively--not to intimidate or hurt dogs, but to communicate clearly despite distractions. Nix isn't fearful or shut down; if anything, he's more confident, more relaxed, and more connected to me than ever before. Of all the money I've spent on training, Olivia's board-and-train was by far the best investment I've made in my dog. The transformation has been remarkable, and our relationship is stronger because of it.

Countryside Canine and Olivia have truly been life-changing for us. We sent our female Belgian…read moreMalinois, Athena, to Olivia's 5-week program, and it was an absolute game changer. A little backstory--Athena was a COVID puppy, so she didn't get the proper early socialization she needed, especially with other dogs. On top of that, being a Belgian Malinois, she has very unique needs. Her prey drive is incredibly high, and so was her anxiety. Walks used to be stressful--she would react to every noise, person, or animal. Even getting her into the car felt like wrestling a bear. After training with Olivia, it honestly felt like we got a whole new dog back. Athena still has some anxiety and that natural Malinois prey drive, but now I have the tools and confidence to manage both effectively. We now go on daily walks--often twice a day. I've taken her to large parks and on short hikes, and she's been amazing. I'm even planning to take her on a multi-day camping and hiking trip--something I never would have imagined before her training. The biggest difference is that Olivia didn't just train my dog--she trained me too. She gave me the knowledge and tools to continue working with Athena at home, and Athena has taken to it like a fish to water. It's such a great feeling to have a smart, engaged, and obedient dog to enjoy life with. I can't thank Olivia enough for everything she's done. I highly recommend Olivia and Countryside Canine!
