My family has been to this location as well as the one in Clayton, CA and both of them are great. The staff is always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's been worth the money for us, as we can tell how healthy and happy our dog is with the quality treats and food he gets. Even if they don't have what you're looking for in-store, they're honest about it and will often point you in the right direction for where to find it or what alternatives might work better. What stands out most is the advice. The recommendations are practical and based on experience, especially when it comes to fish care, corals, plants, and general aquarium setup. It feels more like getting guidance from someone who knows the hobby well rather than just a typical retail interaction. Overall, it's a useful local spot for information and support in the aquarium hobby, even if you're sourcing items from multiple places.

My kitten is been having diarreha for days and I finally found food and supplements that work thanks a very gentlemen that works at this store. And when I drove up to the store there were 3 people chatting one of them a woman with short red hair immediately told me the store is closed and she cannot let me because corporate changed the closing hours to 8 pm, however on the petco website and Google Sunday hours are 8:30 PM closing time. When I told her that I have an emergency she said "she understands", with zero compassion, I have never encountered such a nasty attitude at this store. She obviously had no care about my emergency and the fact that posted hours are still 8:30 PM everywhere for this location. She had more interest in chatting with her friends than helping a customer that really needed to quickly get a couple of things and get out, I did not come there to shop around for a long time just a quick get in get out trip. I'm disguisted by such behavior which was a true opposite of the other two gentlemen I've been dealing with at this store. I have being going to this store for a few years with all my pet needs because it's closest to my house although I can get better prices at competitors, going forward I will take my business elsewhere.

I didn't want a new pet from the pet store, but a rescue that needed all the love I had to offer. So i emailed Herpaderp last night. I got a quick and friendly response and a request to send current time-stamped photos of the enclosure I had to offer to my new friend. I really like that they do that, definitely shows how much they care for their reptiles. Everything worked out great and my husband and I were able to go there today and meet up with Christian. He was super friendly. They had a very large designated room where they kept quite a bit of reptile friends, all in appropriately sized enclosures. All the reptiles looked relaxed and healthy with a super chill vibe. No one surfing or distressed. We had the privilege of walking around their beautiful yard where they have ample fruits and vegetables planted. We met some outside turtles in an awesome pond and a silly tortoise that followed us around the yard. We ended up adopting Chester, a spunky bearded dragon that was missing an eye. What he lacked there he makes up in personality. My husband and I were really impressed, and grateful for the work that these kind hearted people do. They absolutely care about their rescue and have put fourth a lot of time and effort into creating a safe space for their reptiles. I highly recommend this rescue if you're looking for a cold blooded friend!
