They groom my furbaby exactly how I ask. They only take cash because their card reader doesn't work but it's fine because I wouldn't take him anywhere else. They take reservations as well which makes it very convenient. read more

I really like this place however, for over a year now they have been requiring cash only. This is super inconvenient as my bank is in Concord and to use a ATM, I'm charged a fee and have to go out my way just to get to an ATM. This place is right down the street from my house, a ATM is not. Additionally, when you bring cash, they won't make any change, forcing me to pay them five dollars extra today. It feels like a scam by the owner(s) to get around paying credit card fees. I have asked several times when their cc machine will be working again and I was told to ask the owners. I have no idea who the owner is or how to ask them. It's very frustrating, for that reason, I have decided that I will no longer take my pup to Plush Paws. It's ashame bc I really like them, but they have made it so inconvenient to do business with them that I rather take my business elsewhere. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here for years, but my last visit will be my last. The owner, Mary, was very unprofessional and rude. She complained about my two older dogs being "too anxious when together," even though I've brought them both together for YEARS and this has never been an issue addressed to me before. She also made comments about my 6-month-old puppy, saying "seems like you have never washed your dog huh," which I have but ofc a puppy is going to be anxious and which is why I found so much offense to that comment and complained about him being fussy on his very FIRST grooming appointment. I even called during the appointment to make sure he wasn't causing too much trouble because I already knew this could happen, she said he was fine. I made it clear when booking that it was his first time, but she still complained about his behavior instead of being patient. I expect groomers to understand that puppies and anxious dogs need extra care, especially first-timers. The tone and comments made the whole experience uncomfortable. I won't be returning or recommending this business! If you have anxious dogs don't bring them they will complain! read more

Save your money and DO NOT go here. They are unprofessional and do not take responsibility for their mistakes! They made my dog bleed when cutting her hair and didn't let us know, when we called the owner she was immediately very rude and defensive (After reading other reviews it seems like we weren't the only ones who received this behavior from her.) It also seems suspicious how they only receive cash and always made up a different excuse as to why they don't take card. Overall, save yourself a vet bill and save your pets from getting hurt! read more

Nail cut too short on my dog. Blood stained my car before I realized he was even bleeding. Groomers should be more careful. They didn't even inform me they went too short, I'm sure this must've made him yelp or have some kind of reaction. read more

This place is seriously what the community needed. They are careful with the fur babies. They are quick, I'll schedule an 8:30am drop off and my 2 dogs are ready to be picked up by 11AM. This team just knows what they are doing, they are reliable and experts. I love how my dogs look after their haircuts. They also make sure one of my dogs gets the right kind of shampoo since she has sensitive skin. My Husky's hair just looks amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to get the dogs cleaned, trimmed and nails clipped. They also have this cute setup for pictures and they decorate it often. read more

Took my dog for the first time for a shower, nail trim etc they did great , my dog came out looking and smelling great !

"We recently brought our dog, Bambi, to this establishment for a full-service grooming. While we appreciated the convenience of the location, we were disappointed with the quality of service provided. Despite paying for a complete cleaning, we noticed upon returning home that certain services, including ear cleaning, nail trimming, and teeth cleaning, were not performed to our satisfaction. When we contacted the business to express our concerns, we were met with a defensive and unprofessional response. We feel that our concerns were not taken seriously, and we were made to feel as if we were in the wrong. Given our experience, we have decided to seek grooming services elsewhere. We hope that you will take our feedback into consideration and strive to improve the quality of service. I warn everyone taking their pet loved ones here to check to make sure you are getting the services you paid for they do not give refunds. read more

My dog just needed a trim yesterday as hair was getting in her eyes and irritating them, drop her off, it took almost 2 hours, staff was nice enough but charged 70 to do an overall cleanup and didn't do anything else other than give my dog bad bangs. We recently took our 10-year-old, 15 lb pup in for a wash and cut. The appointment ended up taking four and a half hours, and unfortunately, he was also nicked during the grooming process. While I understand that accidents can happen--especially if pets are moving around--and that they may have been busy, there was no communication from the staff throughout the entire time. After waiting over three hours with no update, we went into the establishment to check on him and were met with an attitude. We were told, "If we didn't call you, then he's not ready." I tried to be understanding, given we've been loyal customers for quite some time and have never had an issue in the past. However, this experience was disappointing, especially given the recent price increase. read more

If you are looking for show-quality, impeccable service, and a pristine pplace of work, this is NOT the place for you. If you're looking for a place to bring your pup for fairly priced care by kind, hard-working people and a cute little shop, you found the right place. Called and got an appointment for my two dogs within a few hours. They had both all cleaned up and smelling pretty within two more. Their prices are fair (one maltipoo and one shih-tzu cost me only $100). My other groomer would have taken all day and well over $150 for the same thing. Keep in mind, this was a simple shave down, bath, special request (I asked specifically for poodle feet because of foxtail season), and everything included with the bath. read more

Today was our first time coming in to bring one of our fur babies. As I was about to leave her for getting groomed, she started to have a seizure. I was so scared and wasn't sure of what to do the owner and her daughter immediately ran over to help and assist me, they told me to lay her down and she started to call other groomers over to help as well. They took her rubbed her, held her close to console her, this melted my heart to see they truly cared from the heart about what was happening. Due to the circumstances they allowed me after she calmed down to go in the back while they still provided the service, they accommodated us tremendously. They didn't do the bathing portion because of what happened but they still gave her a cut and allowed me to be right there at the table. My husband and I truly appreciate the care and compassion they ALL showed during this traumatic experience. Thank you for still making her look beautiful while allowing me to be there and let her see I wasn't leaving. If I could give 10 stars , I would. We have found our new forever friends and dog groomers from here on out! read more

Always friendly and communicates well. My dogs look good and smell good when they come home

I made an appoint with Plush Paws and became ill and they gave me a courtesy call (being a first time customer I thought that was kind). I rescheduled a day after and they were able to get my Penelope in on Monday! My poor lil puppy was in need of a full grooming appointment! They have a secured door where they buzz you in (I loved that). I was welcomed by beautiful smiles and to someone welcoming my Penelope the way I would! I was asked a series of questions on how I would like her groomed. Instead of them choosing! As I sat and filled out paperwork, other pet owners brought their dogs in and they too had a welcoming! 2 1/2 hours later I picked up the best looking dog (I'm biased). She even had a valentines bow around her! I couldn't be more happier with choosing Plush Paws! read more

Very professional and reasonably priced. Groomed my baby exactly how I wanted. He is a terrier and wanted to keep his scruffy character which is exactly what I got. He was also clean, soft and well-conditioned. He had PTSD from bad experiences from "another" location and you wouldn't have known it when I picked him up. His tail was wagging and he was super happy. They were quick and he wasn't there all day either. Looking forward to going back! read more

Excellent and oh so friendly grooming services!! My dogs were in dire need of a groomer and I'm so glad a friend recommended Plush Paws! I stopped by without an appointment to inquire about their grooming services. I was blown away by their excellent customer service and how they treat each of their clients (dog) with such love, care and attention. One of my dogs is a 'special case' due to being abused prior to us adopting him. Plush Paws went above and beyond and made his grooming experience so positive. I didn't even recognize my dog when I picked him up! So glad we finally found a loving, trusting and local groomer. We'll be repeat customers for sure! Thank you so much Plush Paws! If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place started off ok and we have been going there for the last year, however, what happened yesterday at my dog's routine grooming appt was despicable. Firstly, I dropped him off at 12 and they didn't even get to grooming him until close to closing time (3pm). I get a call from them saying that he is ready and when I get there I had to wait for another 15-20 min before they were actually done with him. At one point I heard him yelp and I saw 3 people standing around the groomer holding Ozzie and another one looking at his phone. So the first thing I wonder is "what are they doing"? Did they mess up and now trying to fix?" When they finally gave him back to me I could t believe how short they cut him. They practically shaved him everywhere. Including his face. He looks like a chihuahua and my dog is a Yorkshire Terrier. This confirmed for me that they must have messed up and decided to just shave him to disguise their mistake. No sorry, no discount, nothing. Also, my husband and I noticed that he has been a lot more nervous going there the last couple times and now he is licking his paw as if it is hurt. I will never take him back there and want to warn others. read more

Best Groomers in Antioch, and maybe East County. They are so friendly and always have the dogs looking their best! I am a busy person and sometimes forget to book, multiple times they have taken not 1 but both of my dogs last minute. I have a small terrier mix and a pocket bully so they do all breeds, even the dogs don't seem to mind going . Great service and friendly staff, I don't mind spending hard earned money when the service is top notch!! I highly recommend Plush Paws. read more

Been bringing our couple dogs here since about when they opened, 1st couple of times it was ok only had to point out a couple things and once they caught their own mistake another time. This time it would appear they have a whole new staff. I explain what I'd like done and the tell me 2-3 hours......less than 2 hours later they call me and say they're done,I arrive to find none of what I ask for done and then they proceed to tell me that I didn't ask for this or that. They also tried to charge me an additional fee to go a bit shorter (30$) from another review it seems to be their number. I too was told cash was necessary due to their machine being down.... read more

Very satisfied with service. Fur baby cut bath and cut was on point. Wry nice staff and thorough.

First, of all they handed me someone elses dog. When I said that's not my dog, she almost insisted it was. I told them to put ear plugs in my dogs ears so water wouldn't get in her ears. Nevertheless, she got a bad ear infection. Also, they cut her badly. I couldn't believe it. She is a small dog. The owner was on the phone with someone that was unhappy with her service and she was rude and dismissive. You should listen to what the customer asks concerning their pet. Get some competent groomers. read more

DON'T take your dog to this place. I took my Australian shepherd there she has a double coat so it's very tricky how they are groomed. They called me and said she had a couple of hotspots and they wanted to trim her a little bit more. I gave them permission to cut her NO shorter than 2 inches . I showed up, she was less than 1 inch short on her entire body they have ruined her coat. It will never grow back the same again it's been a month and her coat is not the same. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR AUSSIE. read more
