Bad service and bad customer service! I came here for the first time today for a grooming appt for my Labrador. I spoke the day before with the groomer and I told her my dog weighed 70lbs and she told me it would cost $65. When my husband picked him up, she told him she actually said it was $85.... Then we saw that his nails were not all clipped and he was still damp. My dog has been itching constantly since leaving the groomer. Took her to the vet for another issue and asked them to check her anal glands - the groomer did not suppress her glands as asked. I am not happy! Luckily my vet is amazing and did not charge me extra like they normally would. I won't be taking her here again. read more

I didn't want to write a review till I had been here a couple times but I have been impressed each time my puppy has come home from her groom. First time i came here I got her a longer cut but it grew back so fast the second time I had to get a shorter cut and she came out looking very fresh and clean. She smelled like powder and her hair was super soft. Her toenails could have been cut a bit shorter. They are very sharp and long still. When I had Border Collies, I took them to be groomed. Now with a Coton and a pug, they are now being groomed at LPG. I took the Coton today for grooming, and while checking in, I asked if there was time to bath my pug. Both dogs were groomed today. At LPG, I get the sense they really care about dogs. After reading the reviews for this place, I debated if I wanted to come here. I took a chance and don't entirely regret it... they did a better job then I could, kinda. I arrived to the small little shop front, with dead plants in the window. Checked my dog in and filled out some papers, I did not like the way the guy handled my dog. She was hesitant to walk with a stranger and the way he yanked her along made her tumble. The cut was done exactly how I wanted it, a few stray hairs here and there It's not bad...but the bald spots. Too many bald spots for a professional place. My schnoodle has had her haircut many times but never this many bald spots, especially on her face! This is the reason why I don't cut her hair myself, the bald spots. I won't promise to never come back because they did a decent job and it's close to home, however it's highly unlikely. If I inspected the cut better when I picked up my dog, I wouldn't have tipped... Proceed with caution. read more

Only reason i put 1 star is because i have to in order to put this review. DO NOT GO HERE! Picked up my dog only to see her eyes were bloodshot. After asking multiple times why her eyes were that way they had no explanation. I was so furious I wasn't even thinking straight and paid anyways. I took her to the vet right away and after she was fully checked, my vet told me she definitely had a traumatic experience. ALSO noticed later at home that they cut a nail way too short and it was bleeding. My dog wouldn't stop licking it. Honestly glad my brother was with me because I was FURIOUS. The cherry eyes she already had. P.S I specifically told the guy that if my dog would not let them cut certain hair to just leave it alone, to do what they could. read more

FRIENDLY PPL BUT VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS Groomer refused to service my dog because of matted hair on his head. I drove 45 mins to this appt. What a waste of time. She told me I could reschedule when she had more time and no dogs because he squirmed around at his last appt. She recommended cbd to calm him but I let her know he already took some before I left the house. SHE STILL REFUSED. This is frustrating because I waited a week just to waste gas. I also let the receptionist know beforehand about his hair condition she told me it was fine but would be extra $ which was okay with me. I found Lovely Pet Grooming on YELP and needed a same day appointment for two of my client's dogs. One is a German Shepherd and the other is a Labrador. Both large, long haired dogs. They each needed a brush out, bath, and nail trim. I showed up for the 2 PM appointment time as promised. I was given a short new client form to complete. The groomer came out to check the dogs out before taking them back. After a quick assessment he took the pups to the back and I went home .... waiting for a call to come pick them up. When I didn't hear back by 4 PM I called to ask when I should be by to get them (they close at 5 PM!). I was told they were still drying and to come at 4:45 PM. I received a call at 4:40 PM letting me know they were ready for pick up. When I arrived, the pups were still a little wet, but otherwise looked good! I do wish they had put a scarf around their necks which is standard when getting groomed, but maybe they only have those for the small dogs. IDK. The total was $105 for both dogs + tip = $125 for both pups. They seem to cater more toward small dogs requiring haircuts. read more

It took me forever to find a place I felt comfortable enough to take my dog to. Charlie is really hyper and isn't use to a groomer. I finally found this place & couldn't be happier. Marlene was amazing with my dog & Cesar was really informative & patient with him. They both greeted him and were very loving to Charlie. The results were great & he's fresh & clean again. They were just mechanical and didn't allow for tender care of pets. They blamed her and after grooming myself I realize this is not the place for pets. YAAAAS! BEST GROOMING PLACE EVER!! We have gone to many grooming places and no doubt this is the best one. We travel 40 minutes to take our 3 dogs in, (Chihuahua, Pekingese/Terrier, and Border Collie Mix). They are great with our pets and even handle our grumpy older dog pretty well. The customer service is amazing and when I bring my grandmother along, she feels comfortable because they speak Spanish, so bilingual is a plus! So, I've been calling around for weeks trying to find a groomer that will groom cats on a Saturday. See, I have a 20-pound sosig of a cat named Koro, who is a long haired black cat, and he needs to be groomed. My schedule doesn't permit me to take him in on the weekdays, and he needed to have his bottom groomed badly. So I called up lovely Pet Grooming, and thought I'd give them a go! They were able to get me a perfect 9 AM appointment for my small sort of nervous panther and I dropped him off. The staff is super, super nice. I felt warm and welcomed from the moment I came in the door. They took Koro back, and he needed some extra work on his backside, which they did a superb job on. They took extra time with him, letting him air dry because they found he doesn't like being dried (With either the blower or towels), and rather than stress him out and get him 100% dry, they explained why he was just a tiny touch damp, and that they wanted to keep him comfortable, which I VERY much appreciated. It shows, to me, that they really care about the state of the four-legged friends they work with. They gave him a gorgeous trim that really shows off his luxurious, shiny fur, his backside is neatly trimmed and hygienic, his claws are perfectly groomed. He looks amazing! Right then and there I made another appointment in two months to bring him back! I'm also thinking about bringing my other cat by to get the ear, claw and pamper. I highly recommend bringing your cat or dog here, they really genuinely seem to care for the critters that they work with. Five stars, very happy! read more

I have 2 dogs and 3 foster dogs. I needed to find a new grooming salon and decided to try Lovely Pet. The shop owner treated my dogs with gentle loving care and did a phenomenal job with grooming. I could tell they were well cared for because they went in nervous and came out happy. Another important point is that no shortcuts were taken. I've had past groomers tell me they did the anal gland expression for my dogs, only to get back home and realize they did not. When a dog's anal glands get full, there is a distinct odor and the dog will scoot on the floor to try and express the glands themselves. Lovely Pet's shop owner and employees are great and their passion for animals shines through. I gave them five stars for the five-star treatment they gave my pets! read more

I will never bring my dog here again. I had a terrible experience. I brought in my Maltese poodle for a haircut. I should have known things were not going to be good after I called to see if he was ready 3 hours after I dropped him off and they said he pooped 3 times and she had to bathe him 3 times. my dog doesn't poop that many times in one day let alone 3 hours. I asked that they didn't cut his hair too short, but when I picked him up he was almost bald, with some bald spots. I was upset but figured its hair, it'll grow back. Getting home he was acting very different, he seemed sad, he wasn't being his playful self. He was just laying in a corner, completely out of character. He even peed in the house which he never does. I noticed his eyes were blood shot red. He kept licking his testicles and then I notice he had a big red spot on one of them, after taking a closer look, he has a razor burn.( I've added a pic) his butt is completely shaved down to his skin. I went to the shop to ask them what happened and showed them the picture, I needed to know if they had mistreated my dog while he was there because of how he was acting that day. The lady had the audacity to say that I brought my dog with that burn on his testicle, completely not taking any responsibility for what they did. I told her I wasn't there to ask for a refund but to let her know that the professional thing to do was to let me know that they had an accident and shaved his hair too short and burned him. She then tried to blame my dog saying he wouldn't stay still. Again dodging responsibility! She started getting defensive saying there was nothing she could do about it now. For starters an apology would have been good. They are completely unprofessional and rude. I truly feel that they hit and mistreated my dog. Don't take your dog to this place! read more

My dog brownie has been coming here forever, the people are very nice and welcoming. My shitzu can sometimes be a pain to work with since he is a bit spoiled at home. However whenever we call to schedule an appointment for him, we've never had an issue. Even the one or two times that we did have an issue, they texted/called us ahead of time to let us know of the problem, and even gave us a free nail trimming for the inconvenience. If your pet is like one of your family members, take my word and come here. You will be happy. This is the worst grooming job my dogs ever received. They left straggly hairs everywhere, uneven cut, no nail trim. Owner/groomer RUDE when I called to complain, said dogs were wiggly and dirty. NO kidding, who would bring a dirty dog for grooming, These dogs have been groomed for years now, and done beautifully elsewhere, so I know they are well behaved. And they made a tiny cut in the skin of one of the dogs. HORRIBLE PLACE!! Update: After a personal visit and face to face, the owner/groomer changed her tone and gave us a 50% refund. The best groomer in the county! The owner and staff truly care about their work. And it shows! Also the best prices in the county! I called all the groomers looking for a good price to groom my Pekingese. They were way lower than all others and they are very skilled at what they do. They even let me watch my dog while they groomed her! I posted a pic of their work under the pictures of my white Pekingese. My dog had that "just bathed" smell for a week. And they even fitted her with an adorable little gingham pink bandana. They are wonderful. They will be the only place I ever take my Kaytee for grooming. read more
