I've been coming to Pooch N Purr since 2012 and Victoria has been nothing but fantastic with the three dogs that I've had in that timeframe. The quality of everybody's work in the shop is fantastic and they're pricing beats every other groomer in the area. As long as you communicate to them exactly what you're looking for they will do exactly that. Some of these other reviews about leaving their dogs there for hours at a time, as long as you tell them your dog needs to be picked up at a certain time they will fit your request. My family and friends and even clients of mine have never had any complaints or concerns with Victoria or her shop, I would highly recommend this place. read more

Victoria did it again. I have two long haired cats that were matted and shedding. I. had them shaved. I have watched Victoria groom a cat (not mine, best i'm not there). The cats seemed relaxed and handled with care. They come home and prance, rocking their new haircuts. No stress. read more

The only reason why I even reated this place a 1 is so whoever read this would know I actually did rate it and the 0 I wanted to put was not a mistake. My dog was there for 5.5 hours and came back itching like crazy. Ears were not done. Days later, she had a rash all over her body, her skin was extremely irritated. She had a horrible cut in her ear that became infected, like they were going to do her ears and hurt her, so they stopped. I have a family member that also went to them and both of their dogs also walked away with severe skin irritation. Please do not use this service. read more

Never!!!! I took my dog here because I needed to get him groomed really bad and no one else was available. When we picked our furry baby up they failed to tell us that they had nicked him very badly. It was to the point where the blood wouldn't stop. They even put liquid bandage on the wound to stop the blood. When we inquired about it they blamed it on the foxtails and said that the dog had a ton of fox tails in his coat and that's probably how he had a huge bruise. Funny how the bruise wasn't there before. Fast forward to now, it's been months since we took him to this place and last week my dog was diagnosed with a tumor in the same exact spot that they had injured him. We got his surgery scheduled for today and $3k and a lot of pain later my furry baby is home. He is in so much pain and I hate that I can do nothing about his pain. If you want to kill your pet you can take them here. read more

Our baby Sir first grooming. It was our puppies first time so of course he acted like any puppy would. The entire staff was very patient and helpful. Victoria allowed my fiancé and I to come back while she cut to calm him down. Overall We're glad we found this place and we'll definitely be back. Very affordable, even took us in last minute. Thanks again guys. See you soon. Nice local family owned business read more

Great service! Quick Service! Friendly and courteous. Kind of hidden off of A st, but well worth the effort

I was able to get in the same-day for my dog, Cookie, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. It was our first time here, and Cookie came back happier than ever. The staff was friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. The grooming was perfect, and Cookie looks adorable. We've definitely found our new go-to place for grooming. This place was horrible !!! I took my dog to get her nails trimmed and the lady was going so fast and rough she cut my dogs paw and blood started dripping down my hand , she went on to say "its ok they can't feel that" please don't take your dog ! read more

We took in our dogs today and I went to pick them up like a mom after the first day of school. All I could think was who did what, who bit who, who pee'd where. I walked in and they said how great they all were. I was like "My dogs???" That speaks volumes to how GREAT these groomers are! Our older dog has never done THIS good and our pups are happy and sleepy! Perfect combo. Thank you SO much! We will definitely be back! read more

Did an excellent job with my terrier! I'm super picky on what to cut, where not to cut, etc. They listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. The wait wasn't too long and he was squeaky clean! I previously took him to the local pet store salon and it's 100% better here!! read more

They always do a great job and do not over charge competitively less than my previous groomer. Smells way better when groomed than ever before, amazing even. She looks so good after and allows for some time between grooms. I ask for it short to save costs on how often she needs to be groomed. Employees and so nice and proffessional and its a judgement free zone and no shaming if dogs coat is not in best shape. read more

Extremely impressed for many reasons. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, clean and OMG talented. I brought my 2 Maine Coons in for a lion cut for the hot weather. They look amazing. This is a family run business that runs on word of mouth, not a lot of social media. After today I can see why they don't need to waste money on advertising. They love what they to and you feel the energy the second you walk in the door. I won't be going anywhere else. Thank you Victoria and everyone. You guys are seriously rock starts read more

My mom and I have been bringing our pets here for 10 years. They are always amazing. Yes your dog will be there for a few hours but that's because they are busy. If you don't want to wait a few hours come early. Be there Tuesday or Wednesday at 10am. If you come on Friday or Saturday your pet will be there most of the day. They work their butts off and deal with crazy pet owners. I wouldn't do their job, obviously neither would you. They are always friendly and good people. My dogs love going there, my moms cats not so much but they are cats of course they don't want to go there. People need to learn to give respect to get respect. My pups always look good and smell amazing when I pick them up. read more

He also smells fresh and is sooo soft now! Natalie was the one who groomed him and she did a great job and was really sweet to me! I've been taking my dogs here for a few years now and have never had an issue. The staff is friendly and accommodating to my two dogs. You do have to get there early because sometimes it's hard to get in because they are so busy. The prices have been the same for both of my dogs which I can't complain. Every once in a while a different person will try to tell me a different price, but I kindly correct them. Overall a good. Cheap friendly place. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL ! Took my dog to get groomed and was told he would be done in two hours because he was a " walk in " after the two hours i gave them a extra 30 mins than i called just to find out my dog still wasn't done ,my dog ended up taking 4 hours to be groomed and when the older lady with the grill called me and says she's been calling me for the last hour and i havent been answering ( which she DID NOT call nor leave a voicemail ) when i get there she stated that she's charging $10 more because they have a " dog biting fee " ( she made that shit up ) and states that she thought one of her workers called and told me before i picked my dog up ( just like she lied about calling ) DID NOT even do the hair cut that i told them to give my dog didn't even shave his ears and tail like i asked NOT TO MENTION My dog has a shaving cut on his face overall if you love your dog i wouldn't recommend this place at all read more

I would not recognize this shop. I had taken my 2 dogs here for 3 years until my Yorkie had a injury From a clipper. They denied that it did not happen in their shop. She was referred to their vet to check it out. He also agreed with the groomer. Well it turned out my son who clipped Chloe in between grooming did the same thing accidentally. There was the proof they had lied It was the same type of injury. Well I wanted to return with my 2 dogs and was met by the owner saying we were not welcome and we were a liability. She told me it cost her 150 dollars to see her veterinarian. I was very disappointed in them read more

Beware of pooch and purr! Disclaimer! I don't want to hurt any local business and I am not one of those crazy dog mom lady's Who thinks their pet is is perfect because I'm sure my dog can be a pain in the behind!! However, I took my dog to get groomed there today for the first time and I won't be back. None of the employees were wearing masks.. ok whatever... they charged average prices but my dog had several cuts that weren't immediately visible and did not mention them to us upon picking her up. The job was just ok but my dog now has to wear a cone to stop her from licking her cuts. I guess that's what I get for not sticking with what we know but our usual place was closed and she was in desperate need. I'm sure others have had good experiences but I just wanted to send this out to anyone considering going there. Use caution! read more

I love this place been coming here for years. The owner Victoria is very knowledgeable. Sadly I have to say that I disagree with all the negative reviews. If you feed your dog cheap food like pedigree which is corn-based your dog is going to have sensitive skin or skin irritations when being groomed. As a result to that when the groomers are doing their job it could look like they caused damage to the animal/animals. When a dog has dry skin and When you brush or comb against the skin it will become irritated. When in fact the dog has skin irritations or damages due to consuming poor quality dog food. Quality dog food is best to feed your animal like blue or natures. Not only is it healthy for them but it helps their skin coat and teeth. read more
