They always do such a good job with my dogs haircut who has very crazy difficult to cut hair (she's a mini pin/toy poodle = unruly wirey curles). They're very easy to schedule with and they call you to remind you of your appt a few days before which I like. They usually have my dog ready within 3 hours of drop off which is fairly quick considering some places will have you drop off at 8am and pickup till after 2. I LOVE the little bandanas they send you off with, that's a big plus. Been taking my dog here for years with no issues. On the last visit my dog was groomed by the owners daughter and came home with cuts. Today, I was bringing in my other dog and shared the information with the owner. Instead of receiving we will do better and apology, I was told my dog was a problem of which had never been discussed in the many years bringing him. Then the owner told me she no longer wanted to do business with me. I wasn't angry when I went in, just sharing my concerns since my dog had never been cut before. I am ok with not taking my pups there any longer, but thought folks should know that if you have an issue you can't tell them because they won't want to do business with you any longer. UPDATE: Owner replied that they had contacted my vet about hot spots. I did not take him to the vet for the cuts on his nose or the cut on the back of his leg as those were healing. It was not a miscommunication - my dog had scabs on his nose and back leg, tail was questionable on if there was a cut or hot spots, which we never got to discuss because she cut me off and said she didn't want to do business with me again. These are our babies we put in the hands of groomers and it is disheartening to be treated this way when a concern is brought forward. read more

So happy with Hairy Hound. I called pretty last minute for a Siberian Husky and they were so friendly and accommodating. Drop off was quick and I picked her up 2.5 hours later-- not at the end of the day like other groomers I've taken her do. My expectations were low- my dog has some serious anxiety issues as she was an abused rescue. I usually groom her myself because I have been unsatisfied with groomers in the past and it's stressful for her. She looked AMAZING. I would give it 3.5 if half stars was an option. This was my first time at this groomer and I only went because my in home groomer is on maternity leave. I asked for a short cut, but not shaved like a poodle (I have a labradoodle) and the cut came out OK. Hair was a little longer than I wanted all over her body and face. I asked for shaved undercarriage and added terry brushing to my service, but both her undercarriage was still very hairy and her teeth looked the same as when I dropped her off. I'm satisfied to an extent and would go back if my reliable groomer is not available, but disappointed that I will likely have to follow up with another grooming session in a few weeks. read more
