My dog and I absolutely adore this store and specifically this location! They offer an extensive selection on supplies covering all your needs for dogs and other pets. As a first time dog mom I had to go through a few trial and errors. When I first got my boy (Bowser) he was 9 weeks old and I only knew of Petco and PetSmart. I started off with "high quality" generic brands like Blue Buffalo/Blue wilderness, Royal Canine, Taste of the Wild, but my boy Bowser kept getting allergies. I got a puppy earlier this year and Woodbury Pet Supply has been my go-to shop since they are close to my house. The staff is always so excited when I bring my pup in and always offer him treats. The staff is also super knowledgeable about food and pets in general. sorry about review...used to shop here all the time until i bought a $70.00 dog carrier. This is a new pet supply store that opened up in the Woodbury Town Center - and we desperately needed one! People think "pet store" and are like "there's one right down the street!" Sure, but they don't carry the types of food that you REALLY want to feed your dogs, like Acana - which is what we feed our dogs (right, Hayley!?). Hayley and I had stopped in here briefly one day to take a look around and noticed that they do sell Acana, so I knew I could buy some here, if needed. I stopped in with the dogs, on one of our Saturday morning Starbucks trips. I was looking to get a treat training bag for Sheila, and some high value treats. Hayley and I want to start training her more rigorously. She is very smart and learns quickly, but without the right reassurances and rewards, she won't learn the difficult tasks, or remember the easy ones. I found a nice bag that can either clip to a belt, or it also has a strap that you can wrap around your body. It has a spring latch that closes and opens, with ease. I also found some training treats, that they have flavored in salmon, liver or cheese. Lastly, I found a nail grinder, that is similar to a Dremel. Nigel was completely fine with it, but Sheila will take some time to get comfortable with the noise and eventually, the grinding of her nails. I used the treat bag to get her used to being around it, then gradually moved up to the noise. When I had started using it, I used the grinding stone. It didn't take down the nails at all, until I realized I needed to use the sanding attachment. Unfortunately, the attachment piece that holds the sanding belts did not come in the package. I went back to the store, and they were very apologetic. They ordered a new one and are (supposed) to call me when they get a new one in. I'm hoping I get it soon, because upkeep on your dogs nails is very important. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which goes a long way in a store like this. Use them in order to pick the right food for your dogs! It will extend their life and make them much more comfortable! read more

The most helpful, knowledgeable, friendly store with all your pets needs! Not only is the selection fantastic, my girlfriend and I have built an ongoing relationship with the staff. They have helped us through raising two Corgi puppies, and a 6 year old Schnauzer with some... Special needs. They have time and again shown passionate interest in not only recommending excellent products for each of our pups' needs, but have provided insight and invaluable information without which we certainly wouldn't have such healthy and happy puppies, and would have lost our sanity long ago! Raising two Corgi puppies is no easy feat. Rose, Raymond and Kristi (and all the other staff) have been there to lend an ear, provide training tricks, suggestions on which treats, snacks and food are healthiest and work with their delicate systems, and so much more! This is no ordinary staff of just some pet store. They don't push needless items, they don't suggest merchandise based on price and profit, they TRULY CARE about you and your pets well being, and they have proved themselves countless times to provide the best information tailored to each of our dogs needs. Visiting this store is always a fun trip for all of us and really has made our lives infinitely better knowing this store with it's incredible staff is nearby! The staff love pets and will help you find the right item not just try and sell you something. I didn't really price check stuff though I'd imagine better deals could be had at a big box shop or online. Giving this place a 2/5 because the prices and inventory are great. Very disappointed in the staff here. I walked up ready to check out and didn't even get a "hello"... nothing. There were three girls working and just laughing behind the desk and not even acknowledging customers. She said nothing the entire time I was checking out! Just laughing with her coworkers. And it wasn't even work related which makes it uncomfortable for the customer. The girls name started with an A. Don't know the other girls names. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I happened in here while I was waiting for a something to be finished at a nearby store. I am so glad I did. The customer service was amazing! The staff was not only friendly but helpful. This store renewed my faith in customer service. I didn't need anything for my dog but ended up buying some cute new bowls for him. It seemed like everyone that worked there loved their job, love that! It is hard to find my dog's food (usually buy online) but they actually had it. This review is for zero star (I have to put at least one star to post this review) and review is a compliant for Pet Supply management. The worst of the worst. I am never coming to this store and I will NOT RECOMMEND anyone to come to this store. I just went to the store to exchange a different flavor because my dog doesn't want to eat anything with lentil. I had a smaller bag with lentil that I just opened up and he doesn't lien to eat it. So I am returning the bigger bag that I brought recently. The store associate would not accept returns and exchanges per upper management. I told her that I brought this way before you put up the sign and you can check in the system. And all I want to do is exchange the flavor and the bag that I am exchanging is brand new and not even open. I understand that due to COVID19 there are new rules about final sales. But you should not force customer to obey this rule when they brought it before you put up the final sale sign. It is obvious you don't give a damn about customers. What can I say? It's all my fault for buying my dog food from your store. I better not make the same mistake anymore. I am just glad that I did not buy anymore products from this store. read more

Reasons why I feel this place deserves a five star from me: 1. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who are seemingly seriously passionate about what they do, it's kind of contagious. 2. The staff actually knows the details, as well as pros and cons to most (if not all) products. I have not experienced any up selling here. 3. If you are trying to figure out what pet food is good for your furry friend, there are samples! Awesome to try before I buy. 4. For dog food they have popular, as well as hard-to-find brands (like Earth Animal No Hide. It's not even in chewy online store!). 5. Reasonably priced. For example: Dog crates are waaaaay cheaper here (comes with cushion!) than a nearby well-known pet store. I saved at least $20 on a crate and even more that it came with a cushion! 6. Next to Trader Joe's (chyeeaaaaaaahhhh!). With all of that said, I feel that this pet store is worth more my time than other well-known pet stores. I'm not trying to knock the other well-known stores down, but when I come out of a store feeling satisfied that I got what I need (and sometimes want) for my dog, it's pretty cool. read more

Every time they don't have my food they tell me because they are a small store they can't order anything...... your store is empty!!!! I go to Pet Supply almost as often as I go to the donut shop = it's a habit.  They have the best prices on crickets, which is great because my panther chameleon chows them down.  While they have all the standard items I need, what I really appreciate is their willingness to custom order items.  When I first got my pot-bellied pig I'd have to drive to Orange or Costa Mesa to get his food.  I mentioned it to one of the managers and they were able to get the pellets for me and even matched the price.  When my kitty needed to go on a special diet I was able to order her prescription food through them too.  My other cat is a finicky princess so I have to order special kibble for her as well.  I promise, my kids and husband aren't nearly as needy as my pets.  If they were, that would be exhausting! read more

Second, every business in America (big or small, regardless of the industry) could learn what real customer service is from this store. The staff here are amazingly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. In short, they go out of their way to help you with what you need. Don't see the value of shopping here. Overpriced for the vast majority of items compared to Amazon. Additionally, and what prompted the negative review, is they don't accept returns. Only store credit. Which is fine, they have every right to set up a no return policy, however the problem is when their own associate upon checking out says verbatim, "yeah as long as you have the receipt if this doesn't work you can return it". Then upon returning the item (1 business day later), a different associate says, "yeah, well our return policy is posted on the receipt." Why would I read the receipt when your own employee tells me it can be returned!? No accountability. Customer is wrong, ignorant employee is right. No thanks. Won't do business with this type of company. I spend between $100-$200/month, by any standard a "good customer" -for pet supplies. As Amazon continues to only grow and has a favorable return policy and better pricing, this place won't be able to sustain awful customer service, unfavorable pricing and outdated return policy. I love having a pet supply store in the neighborhood! It's nice walking over there with my dogs and pick up some treats on the weekends. The staff there are super nice and helpful. They carry a lot of premium dog food brands (stuff you can't get from petco or amazon). And they also have adoption events! Usually I'm a internet shopper, but I like going there to get stuff for my pups. Their price is also really really fair compare to other stores. I remember for a specific brand of canned dog food, it's actually $1 cheaper each(which makes a big difference when you buy a dozen), than what I've seen in another store. They also do raffle events sometimes. I remember the owner(?) was there too to help people enter the raffle, and he's really kind! read more

This review is long over due!! Pepper and I love shopping at Pet Supply. The staff is so friendly and there are a wide selection of food, treats and toys. Aside from getting Pepper's raw meals, every now and then I take Pepper there during our walks so he can get some sniffs in. He's always so happy to be at Pet Supply. This morning (12/21) we passed by Pet Supply and found out there was a Santa booth! How awesome!! There were also a few booths for toy and treat promotions. I showed up to their Culver location to find out they're closed permanently but still listed on their website. Then drive down to their Woodbury store to find out that they're out of all sizes of the senior formula food I need after being left on hold for 10 minutes. I really like this chain of stores for their premium food offerings but their lack of communication and web updates after closing their Culver Irvine Store and consistent low inventory leaves me wondering where the disconnect is. read more
