As someone with a super sensitive husky, finding people who truly care about pet health has been huge! This place goes above and beyond. The customer service is always amazing, they never make me feel silly for asking questions, and they genuinely want to help find solutions that work for my pup. It's rare to find a small business that treats your pets like their own, but they absolutely do. So grateful to have them in our corner! read more

So I made what I now understand to be a very bad decision to take my sweet furbaby here for her birthday to buy her something special. I had been there before and thought it could be a nice treat. I purchased a few items and ordered a harness for her. That was over 6 months ago. They reached out once to say it was delayed. No problem right?? Well four months later, I am still waiting. Now I request a refund and I am told they can only refund within 30 days and I can expect a store credit. This has got to be the worse customer service ever for a company that claims to love pets as well as their owners. With all the other quality pet shops around, I do not recommend and will never shop here again. read more

Love this store. If you ever need dog or cat food that certain stores don't have they can order it for you whenever you need. Been coming here for over 2 years and the staff is amazing and always very helpful. read more

The customer service here is unlike anything my family has experienced before. The owner is truly a wealth of knowledge and helped our dog with food allergies more than our vet did. She gave us several suggestions and when one didn't work she took that dog food back until we found the right combo. She was mindful of how expensive raw food diets can be and gave us multiple options within our budget. She also communicates with us via text and makes deliveries to our home in Ladera. We love Hala's Paws and customers for life! read more

I was looking for premium quality indoor clothing for my friend's dog and found out that Hala's Paws have great selection. Brionna is the best! She was profoundly helpful with her recommendations. Great premium quality products at great prices! Truly one a kind unique store and I can see the dedication and care just by walking in and taking a look at the product catalog. Lots of organic treats, nutrition supplements, and food as well which is great for buying bunch of things you need for your pets here making this your one stop shop! This is not your average pet supply store, be ready to be amazed! read more

Love this little gem pet store! I've been a longtime fan and shopper at this original location but I also stop into the Mission Viejo store. My go-to for all holiday products, healthy yummy treats, dog food and doggie social hours! read more

I went to this pet store to buy a gift for a friend. The girl at the register could not be bothered with answering any of my questions regarding the sizes of the dog clothing. She was too busy on her phone. After I bought the gift- She was annoyed that I asked for tissue paper and basically threw it at me Instead of wrapping it and putting it in the bag. Definitely not what I would expect from a high-end pet boutique. I used to be a frequent shopper here, but I will never go back. read more

Both this and the other nearby location have very friendly staff! The other location was out of stock of the product i needed, but let me know that this one had it available. I called to have them put the product on hold for me. When I walked in, the lady greeted me, was very nice, and asked if I needed help finding anything. The store was very cute and clean. Hala's Paws - Fievel in a halas shirt - Pet Stores Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

We love Hala and her store! They have adorable toys, clothes, leashes etc for your dog. They also have great treats and food. Our 11 year old choodle had very elevated liver enzymes. I went to Halas and asked for her advice and they recommended Fresh food which comes frozen and is actually human grade food. It's a little stinky so I don't think that I will be trying it anytime soon. They have all different flavors and even gave us samples to try. My dog actually loves it and he is so picky but best yet, after a month his blood work is PERFECT!! read more

Such a great store! Owner is super friendly and helpful. She offered to order a special dog food that she doesn't carry in the store. Also, her mom makes a line of dog collars with darling fabrics, in all sizes. Lots of fun toys and all the good brands when it comes to dog foods, treats and chew sticks. read more

Cutest little pet boutique I've ever been in!! I had bought a Groupon for this store -- I paid $15 and it was for $30 worth of merchandise. I wondered on in here today around 10 when the store opened to browse around and see what they have for cat supplies for my little fur baby. This store is definitely geared towards dog owners, but they do have a small selection of cat toys, catnip, treats, food, collars and accessories for us cat owners. The owner, Hala, was there when I went in and she was the nicest lady ever! Very friendly and personable. She even recommended some cat food for my cat that he may like since he's a picky eater (she even gave me a free sample to give to him to try before I purchase). I ended up leaving with a filtered water dish, some cat treats and a toy. I did have to pay another $14 or so on top of what I already paid for the Groupon, but I'm all about supporting small and local businesses so I didn't mind. Plus, there's a Yelp deal going on right now for Hala's Paws -- you pay $50 for $75 worth of merchandise. Hala will be very tickled that you buy these promotions -- when I showed her my Groupon, she giggled and said "You actually bought my Groupon!" and she seemed genuinely excited about it! All in all, great place. If you have pets and live in South County, give this place a shot! So worth it. read more

Love this place! I took my pups to Hala's for the first time to the weekly "Yappy Hour" event (Tuesdays from 5-7pm). They had so much fun! Hala's is a great store for pet health food- I have finnicky eaters, and my pups absolutely love the food I got them from here! (they don't like Science Diet or any of the brands at Petco). I recommend this store for any pet owner in the Ladera area! read more

We need to keep gems like this store in business. They have unique products that I can't find at the big chain per stores. Like this pumpkin + cranberry powder supplement which is exactly what my senior dog needs (GI and UTI issues). She loves it so it's a win. They also have yummy frozen treats and a treat that looks like bacon but it's healthier (very popular with my girl). Very friendly and helpful staff. I'm glad I found this gem! read more

I love Hala's Paws! For a small boutique, this shop has the best selection of reasonably priced quality pet supplies. I am willing to drive from Newport Beach for Hala's huge selection of healthy, grain-free, all natural dog foods, especially the good stuff in the freezer! My dog already loves the top tier brands they carry like Stella and Chewy's, Orijin and Acana, but she recently tried the Small Batch frozen patties and is totally obsessed! I really dig the large selection of cute looking tough toys. Having a German Shepherd, it can be hard to find toys that last, but Hala's has a bunch to choose from. I like that she carries a lot of hand-made items too. I like knowing that my purchases support small businesses and artisans. Overall what I love about Hala's Paws is that it's a small business that provides the kind of friendly service and unique products that you can't find at a big chain. I will definitely be doing all my pet shopping here in the future! read more

For sure our favorite pet store! Locally owned by a friendly pup loving sweetheart!! Their products are the best of the best and the collars/bow ties are absolutely darling!!! I've been to many pets stores in Orange County and Hala's is probably the cleanest and most organized store you can find. This neighborhood pet store has virtually everything you need plus a more of a personalized service from the owner. Hala, the owner is super nice, an added bonus nowadays. read more

Overpriced pet boutique. I'm not really a fan of run of the mill products marked up to ridiculous prices. The quality is just the same as something you'd get off of Amazon or right up the road at Home Goods. read more

If you live in South Orange County then you need to shop at Hala's Paws. You won't find a more loyal, pet loving , small pet store owner that works harder then Hala. I met Hala when she opened her adorable pet boutique that offers the cutest dog outfits that are made better then you can buy at the chain stores and you don't have to pay shipping. She has homemade bows and bow ties for the dogs and treats and a great variety of toys and collars and leashes that you won't find any where else that I have bought and my Sadie has received many compliments when out. Hala offers dog happy hour so pets and customers can get together and socialize and network which is wonderful. Hala is always working in her store, she even offered pet photography in her store I finally got my 7 year old dogs pictures done and I am so happy with them. All my friends want their pets pics done next time they come back . Hala your an asset to our community and I thank you for everything you do for me and for all of our pets . read more

The owner is so sweet and helpful. She kept the store open when I called her to see when they were closing. I've been coming here for my dog's food since they opened. Not a lot of selection for other items and a bit on the higher end but worth the extra couple of bucks to support a local business owner. Great service, cute store, quality product. read more

Just moved to the neighborhood and I must say this little boutique is the cutest! I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of products in there.. there's things for little dogs and BIG dogs. My guy is an extreme chewer, goes through fire hose toys like it's a soft toy, Breanna helped me find the perfect toy (and bone) for him. It's still currently intact and I appreciate how knowledgeable she was on the products of the store. I'll definitely be back and I heard there's a second location, I'll be stopping by that store as well. Thanks for the good products and well trained staff. read more

I really wanted to love this place because it's in Ladera and I'm all about supporting small businesses. They did not have a big selection of products and what was really upsetting is the lady working behind the counter had a dog wondering around the store unleashed that growled at my puppy and the worst was that the dog growled at my son! We will never go back in because of that small angry dog that roams the store. read more

Hala's Is a gem in our community, always offering high-quality products with such friendly service.

Everything and more has been said in my prior review and other's that Hala has received on YELP but if you need another one so that you will shop here, she is active in the rescue community. An 8 week old puppy with a broken leg was brought to my attention by a friend that works at a local vet (the dog was brought in to be euthanized as the owners didn't want to deal with it) and I shared the call to action with Hala to help save this pup and she did so by sharing with her contacts in the four and two legged world. The puppy was rescued by a vet however I was so impressed with Hala's willingness to help out that I want to give her an update on YELP. Not only does she have a great business but a great heart too...this is where to shop! read more

This place is adorable. The owner Hala is very sweet & they always have cute new things for dogs. Especially around the holidays! Their prices aren't bad either. For only a few dollars more, you're getting way better quality product whether it be clothing, collars, food or treats. So happy I live just a couple miles from here! read more

Wanting to support a local business, I went in search of a dog bed here instead of the big chain store or Amazon. We always hear about how online is putting retail businesses out of business. I was greeted when I entered the store, but while I was looking at the available dog beds, the woman never again looked up from her phone. Must have been a good text. I didn't see what I wanted & left without another word from the employee. Too bad. Maybe just a bad day as this business gets mostly 5 stars....Just not today read more

What's not to love?.... Many healthy treat options i.e. organic and Made In USA... quality food - wet, dry or fresh... great items like toys, clothes, collars, etc (the collapsable travel bowl we got is used all the time and works perfect). On the occasions we've had to return something (picky eaters or it didn't sit well with them), it can be exchanged with zero issues. And.. Hala, the owner, is top notch, friendly and knowledgable - overall, very glad to have a locally owned store in our area. Prices are always reasonable as well. Great little place in Ladera! I love this place!!! Our beagle Max always loves for his favorite treats! This is good place to go for pet supplies and great advice!!

I like this store its clean and well organized. Not to mention the owner is very nice and helpful. I recommend the products, you can't really find too many made in the USA products these days. I like how the display when you walk in always has a theme for whatever holiday it is. And it is really nice that she offers the pet portraits. The owner also has a super cute parrotlet that I adore! :) read more
