I chose Community Animal…read moreHospital based mostly off reviews, and I'm glad I did because I probably wouldn't have known about the Inn & Spa. Google was only showing me places like Woof, Gibson's and Waggerz. I've tried Woof and Gibson's so far and Community Animal Inn & Spa is my favorite. The Inn & Spa is located underneath the Hospital. Pull into the same parking lot for the Hospital but go down the hill and there's more parking down there for the Inn & Spa. From the parking lot, you can see the outdoor area. They have curbside pickup now and you can either text or call (but the staff is super good about coming out before you even get a chance to do that). What makes the Inn & Spa better? Their outdoor area and size of the facility. They rotate the dogs to play inside and outside so the dogs get a decent amount of TLC, time to stay on their normal potty schedules, and then time to rest some if they choose. I also feel like the Inn & Spa has more staff attending to the dogs. My dog is always super excited when I bring him here and he's pooped when he comes home. He's pretty high energy and some other daycare places that are smaller don't do the trick for him. The staff is super friendly and personable. They took a cute picture of him when he was playing in the snow. They're also great about feeding him and fulfilling any requests. The only bad is that they open too late! 8AM on weekdays and 9AM on weekends. I would totally take him here more but I have to be at work too early, which is why I had to check out other daycare facilities. Also, a package to make daycare in bulk cheaper is in the works so that's a plus. Overall, if you need a vet, if you need lodging, if you need grooming, or if you need just daycare, this is seriously a one-stop shop for it all. Highly recommend! (Just open earlier pretty please!)

After learning that this individual is also involved in training, I personally felt that this environment was no longer the best fit for my pet. Everyone has different comfort levels and expectations when it comes to pet care, so this was a personal decision. I chose to remove my original one-star review because I felt it did not fairly reflect the owner, who was always kind and professional throughout my experience. My intention is not to place blame, but simply to share my perspective as a former client. I hope the business continues to do well, as the owner demonstrates professionalism and care.

Waited to pay for some bird foods while the owner was so busy selling some type of bear proof set ups, customer having a lot of questions, another staff was helping customer who was testing a pair of binocular. They all knew I was there, ready to pay and leave. Why not break away for 5 minutes to help me? I am not expecting a red carpet treatment, just purchase what I want and leave. Other time some friends of the owners were there talking about motorcycle in great length. I felt awkward, like I was breaking up a small get together. I have never felt this way at any other stores..... Something is very pretentious about this place. Now I am a member of a local bird feeding store where staff are always friendly and ready to help, happy to answer questions and I feel really welcomed even purchasing a small suet cake. The Bird Store and More carries some really wonderful products, but I probably won't go back there any time soon.

Our rescue dog, Fin, can be reactive with new people, so we struggled to find someone to walk him a few days a week while we work. We also needed a caregiver who could stay with him when we are away. While it took some time for Fin to feel completely comfortable, he now cries with excitement whenever she pulls up to take him hiking. Barbara is reliable, patient, and highly skilled with dogs. What I am completely impressed with was how amazing and compassionate they were when we had to make a decision to let our cat have her final rest :(. I won't get into details, but they really made us feel that we had done the right thing, and that we had, "timed it perfectly". We had agonized with the decision for about a month. The technician, who has been there a long time (she has blond hair), was awesome. Everytime she is professional and sweet. This time she was like a friend I have known forever. She was so compassionate, sharing her story of her dog, Honestly I don't think I could have gotten through those 45 minutes without her. A very tough decision that had to be made was dealt with in a loving and humane way. The entire staff is awesome.
