I did a search one day trying to find another pet store nearby, and Mayo's came up. I gave it a shot, as it was only 7 min drive from my home. What an awesome pet store! The guy at the counter is so nice and friendly. We got to chatting about his two beautiful birds (Baby and Breeze). But if you go to the store and buy it in person you have to show them the item is on sale with the online price for them to give you the sale price. Otherwise it WILL ring up the regular price. So bring your phone with you unless you buy it online and pick up/delivery. I wanted to bring my dog to do some other shopping here reason I didn't order online. Sales person was nice to explain when I returned for price adjustment.

I asked if the dogs ever go outside and the employee changed the subject on me. had a small room off the side of the cage area for the dogs to run around. Caylee, Sadie, and Danielle (No longer there she opened her own grooming salon) are fabulous. Caylee does a beautiful job on our standard poodle. Sadie and Danielle groomed our late toy poodle. We were always thrilled! Caylee had to cancel our appointment, so we booked Emily because the man that called recommended her. We bring our dog to be groomed every month, so when Emily made the snotty comment that she was a mess when we dropped her off yesterday, I KNEW that she wasn't very good. I mean for goodness sakes, we bring her more often than most people. Were you trying to cover up that you do a terrible job? Caylee never makes rude comments and makes her look like a beautiful princess. Emily hacked her. She shaved her tail without permission. It looks like a RAT'S long shaved tail!! I have never seen anything so terrible. Emily, how dare you! You should be ashamed of yourself. If you had called I would have told you that we would come and get her and don't you dare shave her tail! Yes, we will go back when Caylee can groom our little girl again. They cut him way too short and failed to mention anything to me about it. He did not look like his ears had been trimmed and his haircut just looked choppy. We will not be going back. Both of these stores were great. Unfortunately, Textile is no longer but Northeast is still around. It's just relocated to Pelham, New Hampshire, not very far from where it was in Lowell. The owner of Northeast now is the son of the guy who owned it when it was in Lowell. He's extremely knowledgeable and doesn't get bothered with you ask a lot of questions. He's always happy to help. And the fish are great. So much healthier than the fish at the big chain stores. You go in there and the fish are so lively and colorful and healthy. And the prices are great, too.

There were 5 large rabbits each in tiny cages, and one of the Holland lop rabbits for sale had an eye infection. The tanks were dirty, and the entire shop looked shabby and depressing. Almost all of the aquarium lights were off, and there were signs of illness in the fish. A tortoise was in a plastic stock tank with a bowl of filthy water, and no enrichment. Heartbreaking, I hope the care improves.
