They also carry Oma's Pride raw diets. They also have a good selection of healthy treats on hand. The Pet Barn does carry a small selection of collars, leashes, toys, and cat litter, but it is primarily a pet food store, so do not expect entire shelves of toys and leashes. There is typically one or two staff working at a time, both of whom are kind and friendly. One of the staff owns a beautiful purebred Keeshond who acts as a door greeter. This store is rarely packed, so one should be able to go in and out in just a few minutes. The Pet Barn represents how it was like before Petco and PetSmart came about.

For years, I have trusted your business with his care, but the results of this last visit were…read moreunacceptable. Not only was the physical cut poorly executed, but the emotional toll on my dog has been severe. Since that appointment, his behavior has changed drastically; he now paces constantly and exhibits extreme fear. I have had him evaluated by a veterinarian, who has officially diagnosed him with trauma. He is now on prescription medication for depression and anxiety to help him cope with the aftermath of his experience at your spa. I attempted to resolve this by leaving a phone message, but I have yet to receive a return call. I expect a professional response to discuss this matter and how you intend to address the situation.

Prior to our first visit, I had the opportunity to talk with one of the owners and I was so impressed with her knowledge, her years of experience and her welcoming demeanor on the phone that I felt confident I had chosen the right venue for my dog! Our first visit was for a 1/2 day of care for my 1 year old German Shorthair Pointer, Lucy. And, I can honestly say that I was not disappointed because seeing her come out to me, in the reception area, with her tail wagging and her ears perked up, I was certain that she wasn't disappointed either! From that experience, I utilized LDDC for short outings, times when I had to be somewhere wherein she couldn't tag along or shopping trips and again, we were happy with the care and....last but not least, Lucy also had an overnight stay and of course, that too was incident free and very satisfying. The most important piece of advice I can give anyone that considers day care or overnight boarding for their dogs is that you must be able to leave your dog and walk away knowing that they will be safe and will be cared for as if they were in their own home and... that's just what Lucky Dog offers!" *I would be remiss if I forgot to mention the incredible staff members at LDDC. I met several people that impressed me with their warm, nurturing attitude toward the dogs, their canine behavioral knowledge and most important, their ability to help my dog have a positive experience!

I said I am sorry am I very early and she looked at her watch and said it's 10:07 - you'll need to wait a bit like I was there an hour early. I then asked how long until he will be ready and they said around 3-4 hours. I called to check on him after that time and they had no update on him. Then their phone lines were down so I went in and they let me know he was up next on the grooming table but didn't have an exact time. At 4 pm he was finally ready and they let me know they brought him out to go to the bathroom( plus for them but I'd hope so as he had been there awhile!) I got there as soon as I could and my dog looked upset. The groomer came out and said how she couldn't do my dog's face because he was biting and thrashing and I should look into anxiety meds for grooming. I have personally seen my dog groomed and been told by every groomer in the past that he is a joy to groom. He went to puppy training classes and is always a calm dog in these situations. I let them know it must be something they had done or triggered to make him react that way because I have never seen my dog bite, he's a very sweet boy. They also claimed he was in " bad shape" and shamed me for his hair yet he was given a bath and brushed by a professional a week before this groom. I went back in because I was so upset by this experience and the staff and they just continued to blame my dog. Regardless, for an upscale dog grooming establishment they should be able to accommodate dogs for this price. Horrible experience- I have not written a Yelp review in a long time but I needed to for this. $95 before tip for this and they didn't offer an apology or anything but just blamed my dog.

BEWARE OF SCAM!!…read more Boston Dog Walks is a dangerous organization. We were so sad when our favorite dog walker went on to another business but felt relieved to have found BDW. However, on multiple occasions (due to my job), I happened to be home during our dog's regularly scheduled walks. And each time, NO ONE CAME! How long had we been paying these people who pretended to be walking our dog while collecting their weekly checks?! If only dogs could talk ... We had an agreement when we hired them that they would leave a note, indicating the time that they came, and at least 5 times, they "forgot" to leave a note. The final straw came when I stopped home mid-morning to find a note alleging that our dog had been walked at "12:20 pm." It wasn't even 11 AM!!!! When we fired BDW and demanded to have our keys back, Rachael (the owner) proceeded to tell us that our expensive, non-replicable keys to our building AND apartment were lost! A few days later, she corrected herself and said she realized that they were "broken," so we didn't need to worry. Needless to say, I changed the locks. The person who referred us to this organization has said that he has heard from multiple persons complaints such as ours, so I felt compelled to spread the word.
