I was seriously thinking of bringing my dog here, but forget it. Took a ride there today for their 11:00 tour, as per their website, and was told they were not doing tours due to Covid. I was assured I could still bring my dog, but I would not be allowed to see the facility at all. When I balked a bit, the person told me she would be very happy leaving her pets at a facility that she can not check out beforehand, and I should too. WHAT???? Isn't visiting a facility the first thing you should consider before leaving your dog there??? So a wasted trip because no one can bother updating the web site to say you can never see inside. read more

My dog LOVES going to daycare here! He was very shy at first but the staff at Waggerz' Lounge made sure he was happy and having fun. He is able to socialize with other dogs and staff so he comes home all tuckered out. Now, he can't wait to go to daycare! I love waggerz! And so does my pup! Reading other reviews I don't understand why they have anything less than 5 stars. Yes my dog comes home smelly ... he's a puppy and he plays hard. He comes home tired which is what I want in a daycare for my puppy. I love that they don't crate, and let the dogs play all day inside and out. If I wanted him crated I could just leave him home and pay a walker to come instead. I walk in and most of the staff know who I am and who I'm there to pickup. My dog gets excited at drop off and half the time doesn't want to leave at pickup! Which I can't say the same for the other place we have tried. My only complaint would be that they aren't open on weekends for daycare hah! Planning a wedding means I have some days I need to be gone for a little longer than I would want to crate him at home for - which is why we have tried somewhere else on a Saturday once and I wasn't impressed with the experience there. Please add weekend hours! I would pay extra to know I can get done what I need to whIle he is happy and playing and safe! read more

My dog loves going to Waggerz as do I. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and my dog comes home happy and tired from daycare every time. I have also boarded my dog there. The main reason I chose Waggerz Lounge a couple years ago was based on the fact that they don't kennel the dogs, I received several positive reviews from co-workers/others who send their dogs there, and they don't require a reservation for daycare. My dog is fine at home, but I like to bring him in to get his energy out, or on a day where I won't be home at night, etc, so it's not always the same time. He can't contain his excitement on the ride or on arrival. When he comes out at the end of the day, he's happy and fairly quickly will be fast asleep from all the play. As a comparison to Waggerz, I moved out of state for a few months, and needed to use a new daycare near there. I chose one with positive reviews and they even had webcams to check in on your dog. I found there that many of the staff did not seem excited about working there and when I turned on the webcam, I could watch dogs being ignored or pushed away from the employees. Most of the time I couldn't find my dog. Eventually they said he was 'too energetic' and 'didn't get tired enough' and they would kennel him to try and chill him out. When I returned to MA recently, I was no longer as close to Waggerz so I went to visit a daycare that is literally less than half a mile to my house. Upon arrival, I could see some dogs outside, maybe 15 or so. When the woman toured me through, she showed me the empty playroom. We then went to the kennel room. There were easily 40 dogs in kennels barking. She said they'd rotate the dogs throughout the day, but clearly the majority of them were just in a kennel all day. My dog is fine at home, I bring him to day care to play, socialize, and tire himself out. A kennel would not do that. Now I drive an extra 10 minutes past work to bring him to Waggerz. To folks that complain they are expensive, their prices are in-line with or cheaper than the options closest to me. If you pre-pay for a certain number of sessions, it only gets cheaper. And for the fact that your dog has caring attendants and gets to play indoor and out the entire time they are there, it's worth it! To folks that complain their dogs smell afterwards.. they are dogs! Actually, surprisingly, my dog usually smells pretty good on return. But I certainly wouldn't expect a dog running around all day, rolling around with other dogs, to not smell like dog. No big deal. If it's bad, he gets a bath or gets one the next time he's at Waggerz. Do they have kennels in there, yup. Cause sometimes you need them. My dog got kenneled immediately once when he showed signs of kennel cough. It was necessary for the safety of the other dogs and I was called to pick him up. Luckily it turned out it wasn't, but they made the right call for the best of all the dogs (my vet agreed completely!). For drop of times, I'd say this is the one area Waggerz could approve, and this relates pretty exclusively to boarding. Drop-off/pickup times do not allow you to attend work that day because they are mid-day. You can drop-off early or pickup later if you pay for the extra time in day care. It would be nice if it included the morning of day-care, at least on the day you drop-off, but it's not required. My new puppy will be making his first visit there tomorrow. Can't wait! TL;DR Waggerz is great. Staff knows what they are doing and your dog gets to play all day. If they are boarded, they don't get stuck in a kennel and someone actually is there overnight. Visit yourself and take a tour before you believe the negative reviews. read more

Love them! We bring our dog for doggy daycare and they have a big indoor and outdoor area. Dogs aren't crated, they are allowed to play all day long. They also do grooming and sell dog food and supplies. We tried a couple places in Worcester that were very dirty, and this was, by far, the most clean and friendly. We have been taking our 1 year old pup to doggie day camp in CT since he was 6 months old. We recently moved to MA a few months ago ,about 15 minutes from Waggerz Lounge, which we were so excited about since it had such good reviews.. However, we've had nothing but bad experiences since. They are extremely unorganized; they never remember who you are. One of the times I picked him up, he had a large open wound on his ear; when I asked about it they said that earlier in the day he was bitten by another dog as he was going into the pen.. I know dogs will be dogs, but they could have called and addressed the situation prior to me picking him up and I would have worked something out to help stop the bleeding at the very least. Today when picking him up he did not have his flee and tick collar on him, when I asked they said they didn't know, I pressed and said that he definitely had it on in the morning. They went to find it and told me that he wasn't allowed to wear it there. Which I respect, however, they should have told me prior instead of me almost being out a $60 collar because of their poor communication with their guests.. Not to mention how rude they were about me having his collar on bringing him there...... Their groomer is never there when you ask them to groom.. Just a ridiculously run business. TLDR; far too pricey for this type of experience, and we will be taking him elsewhere going forward. read more

Our dog has attended daycare here for a few months and they run a GREAT program. We had him at another program in the area and I can tell you that he is far happier here--Monday he actually snuck out of the house and sat by my car waiting to go. They sell quality pet supplies and foods, and the owners are very knowledgable. We haven't yet taken advantage of boarding, but I'm sure that will be great, too! I always hesitate to write bad reviews, but wished I had read some real reviews before signing my dog up for this daycare. I took my 5-month old puppy to Waggerz Lounge for just over a week and it was a terrible experience. First, you cannot see the area where the dogs spend the day which is on me. I should have insisted on seeing that space when the daycare was in operation (they offer weekend tours). When picking up dogs, there is complete chaos. One time when I picked him up, they brought out a different dog who was wearing my dog's collar. The weekend after he started at Waggerz, he peed in the house. He had not peed in the house for at least a month so I asked the daycare if the dogs went to the bathroom outside (because they do advertise an outdoor space). The woman informed me that the dogs go to the bathroom everywhere. Seeing my reaction, they offered to put him on a walking schedule...outside. The next time I picked him up from Waggerz, his entire underside was soaked in dog urine. That was the last time he went to Waggerz. They did refund the money I paid in advance and apologized, but the reality is that they advertise "beautiful outdoor spaces [that] are enclosed with a safety fence and have synthetic turf that is easy to keep clean while keeping your dog clean as well. All dogs are under constant supervision and will have plenty of cuddle time with staff. We will also work on basic obedience skills, such as waiting at doors and not jumping on people." This is definitely false advertising. read more

Walked in for the first time today and mentioned that I was a "1st timer". We were really hopeful that it would work out since we wanted to board our dog here in the future. I brought all of the required documents/shots, etc, but unfortunately, we were missing one shot. In the process of filling out the intake forms and learning about the required shot, my dog was on leash the entire time. He was nervous and barking, but never off leash. Upon leaving I said good bye and did not get the same in return. ~ Because we are unable to get the required shot in time for this weekend, my husband called to cancel our boarding. The gentleman (owner?) proceeded to tell my husband that I was "rude & irresponsible." How's that for customer service? Thanks, but we will not be coming back. #blessingindisguise read more

I took my basset hound here to get groomed and it was a lovely experience! The groomer was so friendly and comforted my dog as she was very nervous to be in the presence of so many other dogs. We bring our dog Radar to Waggerz Lounge...the place is great! We put him in the daycare and boarding. They also have a full service groomer; so getting his nails cut isn't an extra trip. The staff is very welcoming; they all keep their calm during the crazy drop off and pick ups. One huge perk is you can pick up on Sundays (when boarding); you just need to call and let them know....this is a huge help. We think it's worth every penny. We had to send our dogs to daycare for a short time and used this place. It is clean and the people are friendly but every time my dogs came home from there they drank 2 bowls of water every time. They ran to the bowls. So I asked do you give the dogs water while they are there and it was no. I think so they don't have to go the bathroom as much. They had told me when we started that when the dogs get home give them water. Ok my dogs always have water out for them. Dogs need water all day. read more

Waggerz staff is made up of people who know dogs well and enjoy being around them. My dog has been a customer of Waggerz for a number of years. He is an anxious mixed breed rescue dog, and he had an issue with barking incessantly while there. The workers were remarkable patient with the situation, and the owners worked with us in consultation with our vet to find a medication that worked to help our neurotic pup be more relaxed while boarding and at daycare. We very much appreciated their willingness to allow us to work with the vet to find the best solution for our dog, yet remain customers even through the trying times. read more

People are helpful and it's nice they don't keep them in cages. They force you to do a "temperament test" where the test is "free" except they charge you $27 to keep them there. Essentially a fee to board your dog. Also the check in as at noon on weekdays so you have to leave work to check in your dog, very inconvenient. If you do an early check-in (even just 1 hour before) they charge a fee of $17.50. You rack up $50 in fees pretty easily. read more

Waggerz is my pups favorite place to go! They are flexible, accommodating, and great with the dogs. Pups are always excited to go and tired out when they come home . We moved a half hour away and we still make the trek as places closer to my home don't compare. We use them for boarding and doggy day care. My pup loves it here! I have my dog go every business day, all day. It's completely guilty free for me because Lexi gets her energy out and she gets tons of valuable socialization. The vet has made many comments about what a happy dog Lexi is. The vet knew without prompting that Lexi had plenty of exercise and socialization. We've used some grooming services as well and the staff is really knowledgeable about how to expose the pup to grooming so he/she is not scarred and gets used it. Waggerz lounge has also prioritized safety and educated me about things that are dangerous to us. I had no idea that the retractable leash could amputate something! Can't say enough about this doggie daycare, they treat our pup well and she is happy, fit and healthy because of it. read more

We used to live in Worcester and took our 2 dogs here daily for day care. We moved to Westford and still willingly drive the 30-40 minutes to board our dogs here. We cannot say enough about Waggerz, both Chris and Sherri are great business owners and treat the dogs the way they would want thier own to be treated. I have been sending my dog here for almost a year now. He loves it, and Chris and Sherri love him! Waggerz does it all: I can drop my dog off in the morning, and request a bath or nail clipping for the same day. My dog loves going to daycare and gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. Once, my dog got bit a little too hard on the nose (hazard of doggy daycare, no worries), and Sherri called to see if it was ok if they took him to the vet on their dime just to make sure he was okay. I think that about sums up how the staff at Waggerz care for the dogs like they are their own. I never worry when my dog is there and he comes back happy and tired every time. I wanted to really like Waggerz because it was very close to home... But after looking around and finding a new place to board my dog, I have found that they nickel and dime you. The check in time is not convenient (especially if you are traveling and have to go to the airport) and there's a charge if you're outside of that 1 hour slot. There's a charge for them to evaluate if your dog can even stay there. I spent way more than I thought because of these silly charges. They also had computer errors and lost my reservation... It was hectic. I have since found a place where there is no charge for the evaluation, and check in is from 8am-5pm, not 12-1pm. My dog came home covered in scratches, which I completely know happens because he's younger and they play rough, but some of these marks were very concerning, and I almost took him to the vet because they looked infected. He also came home EXTREMELY thirsty, which made me wonder if he didn't get enough water. He has been boarded a few times since elsewhere, and I haven't seen any problems like this. They also won't show you where your dog is staying unless you come on a Saturday afternoon in a certain window. If you're like me, your dog is your family, and so it's nice to know where they are staying. I am taking my business elsewhere now. read more

I've been bringing my dog to Waggerz Lounge for about a month now and I love it. The staff are friendly, helpful and super personable. They make dogs (and owners!) feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. They have a large indoor/outdoor space that lets my active lab run around and play all day. By the time I get her in the afternoon she is exhausted! I just started having her groomed there and had a great experience. Their groomer Allison even came out to talk to me about what she did and if I was satisfied with it. I recommend Waggerz Lounge to all my friends who have dogs! My wife and I adopted our yellow lab at 12 weeks and were thrilled that Waggerz would take him during days we could bring him in for Day Care while we worked and let me tell you, it's a life-saver because not only does he come home nice and tired which gives us a break but every time we bring him in as soon as he steps one foot inside he immediately is pulling, trying as hard as he can to get inside to play with all the other dogs! I mentioned to the owners the negative review i saw on here prior to taking him and completely explained the reasoning behind it which I totally understand and believe so don't let the negative review throw you! They DO give them water but they don't simply leave bowls of water out otherwise that would create problems. Dobby (our pup) is now 7 months old, today in fact, and the folks at Waggerz have been nothing but accommodating, courteous and friendly each and every time we take him. Their prices are competitive, if not better than any other facility in the area and they offer plenty of additional services like nail trimming, grooming, boarding, etc, so in my opinion it is so beyond worth the money. Not once have i ever picked him up and thought, something was off/wrong, he comes home full of smiles, tail wagging and then crashes once he gets home because he plays so hard! What else can i say!? I always hated the idea of having a dog and leaving him at home all day and Waggerz is the perfect solution plus, as a puppy, it helped us a lot as he learned to socialize with other dogs and people while he was there which made our lives that much easier, my only wish is that we could bring him every day! read more

Waggerz is fantastic ! Where do I start ?! Chris and Sherri are extremely knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors and do a fantastic job caring for them ! My dog, Caico LOVES to go there every day ! I also use their boarding service, which again, is fantastic. I really LOVE the fact that someone stays there with the dogs overnight, I have no worries when I leave her there. I have a very active young dog, and having her in daycare, is so helpful for all of us, she gets plenty of exercise, socializes with other dogs and has a better life because of it. I can't understand leaving a dog at home, with nothing to do all day. I'd like to quickly comment on some of the bad reviews. Will your dog smell when they get home? A little, they're rolling around with each other and playing all day, wouldn't you smell a little after a day of that ? hell yes ! Thank goodness they have grooming services !!! The dogs absolutely not kept in cages, they have indoor and outdoor play areas, and there's enough space for Caico to take a nap in the morning with her boyfriend :-). As far as their charges, i feel they are fair. I think people forget, this is a business, run by PEOPLE like yourself, they have LIVES as well, they don't exist just to serve your every need, they provide a service, and they charge for it, you want extras, you pay for them. This is how they make a living, they have lots of overhead and need to cover it. As a business owner myself, I see these bad reviews, and they really seem to lack common sense. They don't allow people back where the dogs are, and I feel that's great ! Many dogs are anxious with strangers and putting the two together, puts the people and the dog at risk. I'm not sure what my husband and I would do without Waggerz. We say the word "camp" and the insanity and excitement begins for Bronx. He absolutely adores the staff and all the other dogs. We bring him once a week and board him whenever we go away overnight. All the staff know the him by name. We know they love and care for Bronx the same way my husband and I do. My dog, my life, Stella, is now 2 and has been going to Waggerz since she was a pup, and I won't send her anywhere else! The entire staff, Chris , Sherri, Allison, and so many others are hands down amazing. I have used Waggerz for daycare, boarding, grooming, and even purchase my dog food there. I can remember when Stella was only about 7 months old and I was getting her Blue Buffalo, because I researched it and found it to be the best grain free dog food. Chris showed me another brand in the Waggerz store for a much less price, better quality, and made in the U.S.A. I have been using it ever since, with no complaints from Stella! And he also offered me a card, if I buy 12 bags of food, I get the 13th free. Other places would have said nothing just to make that extra buck, not Waggerz. They care about not only the dog, but the dog owner as well. They are not out to make money, but to make their customers and dogs happy. Our dog has been going to Waggerz since we got him 5 years ago. They have been so wonderful with him and he loves going. He is there three times a week and is so tired he can do nothing but sleep when he gets home. He is boarded there and we never have to worry while we are away. Absolutely the best place to board or take dogs to for daycare. All the staff are amazing and they truly care about our animals like they are their own. I love that they come home exhausted since they have had so much fun, I have not had the experience that Maria T had, but in giving it thought, with having a number of animals that would be drinking at any time and from the same bowl, I would be more concerned with my animal getting sick from either another animal. I appreciate that the workers play with the animals, rather than having to be on "bathroom" patrol. read more

My lab Finley, was the very first client at Waggerz. He loved the people there and was very well taken care of at all times. He participated in both daycare and boarding there. The wonderful staff treated him as if he were their very own. The staff are kind, outgoing, and go out of their way to help you and you're doggie. Finley, previous to Waggerz went to a daycare in Auburn. He was put in a crate upon his arrival and let out when someone decided to let him out to play. They also crated the dogs again for two hours in the afternoon to go to "lunch". He was bitten twice there severely. I pulled him from there to go to Waggerz. My new girl; Macey, now goes there and just spent an entire week. A staff member stays overnight which is a huge relief to me. The owners went out of their way several times when I was injured and when my husband was ill. They were so kind and considerate. I consider Waggerz part of my family. I trust them with my dog and never worry about her well being while she is there. I'm glad they temperament test dogs. It assures me that my dog isn't going to be bitten "severely" like Finely did in Auburn. Not every dog is "right" for daycare but as I watch my girl sleeping in her crate presently I know she had an awesome day full of fun, love, and play! Perhaps those posting negative reviews don't know enough about doggie daycare and the proper procedures and policies they have. i take my chocolate lab to waggerz' lounge once or twice a week and he loves it there! he knows when i pull into the parking lot, drags me to the front door and drags sherri or chris to the play area. they all know him and love him there and he loves going there. i can't imagine taking him anywhere else for daycare or boarding. i never have to worry if he is being well cared for when he is there. i recommend them to EVERYONE i know who has a pet! read more
