I didn't even have to step foot in the door to this place to write this review. I scheduled my 2 shih tzus for grooming, made the appointments 2 days ago. One of them is 14 years old and is in CHF. Before I say what I'm about to say - I completely understand that if a facility does not have oxygen tanks and other medical resources/staff to aid in the event of an emergency, that they will not take my dog in CHF for grooming - I get that part. I spoke to THREE different people about this, thoroughly explaining my dog's condition and each time I was NOT told that that was a dealbreaker. I continued to make their accounts, requested bookings, and uploaded their vaccination records and medical records (particularly for my dog with CHF). Everything was approved and verified by the staff - per what their portal was saying - and the appointments have been on the schedule for 2 days. To add on to this, they actually had to last-minute reschedule one of the dog's appointments due to a staff emergency. I was fine with that, but again, there was no implication at all that the appointment was at risk for being cancelled due to my dog's condition, hence being rescheduled. It was rescheduled and I waited another day with no sort of outreach from Wagging Tails about anything.... until THIS MORNING (both appointments were supposed to be today) I get a text message because god forbid they have the decency to make a phone call, saying that both appointments have been cancelled due to my dog's condition and the lack of equipment/medical resources on hand. THAT WAS NOT BROUGHT UP ONE TIME, EACH TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT MY CHF DOG'S APPOINTMENT. I am extremely displeased with the lack of communication and professionalism, as well as overall respect by this place. When I called this morning to ask again, WHY, this was being done in the first place, but more so WHY was this not communicated to me beforehand when I scheduled the appointments days ago... AND SPOKE WITH YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS CONCERN???? Of course, whoever picked up the phone with me this morning had no idea why I was so displeased... claiming that my dog's condition was "never brought up in discussion prior to now"... don't even get me started. I truly could keep writing about how this place is a huge waste of you and your animals' times, but now I have to start the whole process over and desperately search for grooming for my dogs all over again! Wagging Tails, I strongly suggest you do better on your end because this isn't looking great for you guys, and I can confidently claim that I will not be considering this place in any future, let alone recommending it to anyone. My wife and I dropped our dogs off for a weekend of boarding and grooming. We left instructions for the groomer to groom our boy and do a practice grooming of our girl. We were also told that the grooming would be recorded so that we could watch the session if anything weird happens. When we picked up our dogs, it became clear that the boy's grooming was incomplete. He had little knots on his head and a large knot on his tail, as well as a new bald spot on his chest. When we spoke to the groomer about it, she said that he was difficult and wouldn't sit still so that she couldn't complete it, and she said that the bald spot was a cowlick. This didn't *seem* right, because he gets groomed 4 times a year and in the previous place they never had any issues with him at all, and we pet his chest all the time and would've noticed a bald cowlick spot before. She was also not told that the girl was supposed to get a pretend grooming session at all, so that never happened. Since the boy has never been an issue before, we wanted to see the video that we were told we could see if we requested it (we wanted to know what might've set him off), but then we were told that we couldn't because the video system has been down for weeks. The manager I spoke with didn't care and just told me that the groomers rent out the rooms so they aren't responsible for what they do. We contacted the owner but she hasn't responded and instead blocked us on the company Facebook page. Best case, this place has terrible communication amongst the staff and the groomer, poor customer service, and a broken video system. I wouldn't trust my dogs there. read more

We took our 2 dogs (Shelly and Cooper) here for boarding and grooming over Memorial Day weekend. We asked if there was any notes on how the visit and grooming went and was told everything went great and nothing noted for us. We had some questions for the groomer as one dog (Shelly) was booked for an exposure to the tools and groomer visit due to her anxiety with new to her groomers. Cooper was booked for a full groom, but we noticed knots in his hair still by his ear and tail (was able to brush them out), has a bald spot which per our vet says it appears to have been shaved, and we were only charged 25 dollars less because they didn't try to clip his toe nails. We were curious about what occurred as there were no notes and no member of management when we picked them up yesterday. Called today to find out what occurred and they said we needed to speak to the groomer. Groomer advised he was uncooperative during grooming, but was never shaved and we can look at the video. Groomer said she left a note. Called back to get the video as he's a 5 year old dog that has been groomed 4 times a year since we have gotten him and there's never been a single issue and advised there's no video. Asked for the notes again - nothing. Found the owner and messaged them due to all the inconsistencies in the stories with no response. I cannot in good consciousness recommend this place as I have no idea what they have done to our dogs. read more

I've never made a negative review but feel this is necessary. I boarded my dog for a 6 night stay had her go to daycare twice before her stay to make sure she did well and they were familiar with her. I packaged her meals for her she is fed twice a day. I called while I was gone and was told she was timid but doing well. I came home a day early and decided to pick her up at that time. at the time of pickup they collected her thing and among them were 7 full packages of food only 4 packages were empty. I questioned them on this and they said they were sure she was fed but the full food containers told a different story. I was told a manager would look into it and call me back. Didn't happen. I called 2 more times and was told the same no results. I emailed . Nothing. I don't have a picky eater. My dog has never met a meal she didn't like. If they don't feed your dog what else don't they do. I just want to warn others. Like I said I've never posted a bad revue in my life but this is way to important to not warn others read more

Don't bring your pet here unless you want them to get injured, be left in the dark about it, spend $1500 on vet visits and drive out or state for a neurologist to address the violent muscle spasms he's been having due to this facilities neglect. All the while, ive been paying extra to put him in isolation while hes there so his injury isn't aggravated by playing with other dogs. My dog is my life, my baby, and my greatest joy. They are responsibile for failing to report his injury leading to a delay in diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately to him having violent muscle spasms in their lobby. Brought my elderly black and tan GSD in for for grooming, the fellow at the desk was very polite, and explained that the groomer was out but he would take care of my dog. I was grateful as it seemed he was doing dual duties. Approx. 1 hour later I was told my dog was ready "but still a little wet" I was ok with that. What I didn't realize was he had not been brushed or groomed in my mind I then proceeded home with a wet dog and spent 45 minutes blow drying and brushing him out, and ended up with half a shopping bag of fur. I thought getting your dog groomed meant that he was washed bathed dried and brushed out so I didn't have to do it myself. read more

We love Wagging Tails! After careful consideration of the local and local-ish options for dog daycare/socialization and boarding, we went with Wagging Tails and couldn't be happier - of course unless they were closer! But for us the 40+ minute drive to Hadley is worth it. We know our dog has a great time, as evidenced by her energy level when she gets home and the photos they provide. The staff is always great. They truly love animals and care for them with expertise. They also provide so many enrichment and care opportunities for dogs. It's so hard to know if you're making the right choice for your dog - I get it. And I totally hope if you're reading this that you book with Wagging Tails. They're the best! read more

Too much turnover, no consideration to pets needs especially when pets are boarding and/or they have too many pets boarding. Too many employees eating at desk, sitting around doing nothing when there are boarding dogs who need attention, walks, to be cleaned and things cleaned for daycare attendees. read more

Right from the start we knew this was a good fit-friendly, personable service and knowledgeable staff, top notch training and peace of mind. They are keenly aware of the packs personalities and have separate spaces for large and small dogs. The manager has a vested interest and gets to know the animals on a personal level. My little ShihTzu stayed a Wagging Tails for a Half Day Care when I needed to stop in Hadley for a few hours of work. Tess is timid, however, Hannah and the ladies there were very sensitive to her needs. They helped her to adjust to being around the other dogs, and she was treated very well. When I picked her up she was quite thirsty, but I think it was due to her anxiety from this new experience. Wagging Tails is right off Rt.9 and easily accessed with ample parking spaces. It's a very clean, well kept and bright facility, and the staff is personable. I would definitely take Tess back there again! read more

I boarded my dog here for a week in August. When I checked him out, he was visibly lethargic and smelled badly. They said he had not eaten his dinner but had no knowledge if he had eaten breakfast. That night he was shivering, had no appetite and was obviously very sick. I took him to his vet in the morning. They couldn't find any immediate cause and referred me to a dog hospital where he spent the next 48 hours. Between the two vets, the bills totaled $3,000 for his care. He had every test they could think of and never identified a cause. I guess you know I would never patronize the place again. The vet bills really hurt me. read more

If you want your dog to go indoors and outdoors with a small kiddie pool this is the place for you! I've gone to quite a few of the doggie daycare places around this area and this is really the place I had pictured for my dog. The owner is very nice and she makes her own dog treats.!! My baby girl loves it here! They take such great care of my little fur baby and she is a princess that requires high maintenance and it's great to find a daycare/boarding facility that caters to all needs. The staff are friendly and I love how they are a one stop shop for all dogs needs. Strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to know that their pup is in good hands when they need daycare or boarding. Another added perk is that they stay pretty active on their FB page posting photos of your fur babies playing and having fun. Our dog was extremely well taken care of and I was very impressed by the staff. An example was how during our tour the owner interrupted us to quiet down a dog whose tone sounded too disorderly. We boarded our pets at Wagging Tails from May 23 to May 30 while we went out of state to buy a home. We told them that our cats are "escape artists". The first night, they left the window in the cat room open. Our cat Phil escaped within 12 hours of being there. She said that our other cat and two others almost escaped too. She notified me 10 hours later and said she was going to call animal control. Never did. Two more days pass she tells us she is doing everything they can. Aside from walking our dogs and calling our cars name, they did nothing. We came home 7 days later. There was no food or water left out. I had to ask for it. It's been almost 3 weeks and we still haven't gotten our Phil or our money back. We move out of state at the end of June and leaving without him is devastating. I have gotten my senior shih tzu groomed here a few times and everytime has been wonderful! They ask detailed questions about how I want his hair groomed and always groom him the way I like. He is also very timid and scared around other dogs and I told them and they took very good care of him! This place is very clean and the people are very nice! read more

What a great amazing place! Traveled up to MA for our son's wedding and checked our two dogs into this wonderful resort. They were beyond accommodating and so attentive to our dogs' personalities/needs and they had a fantastic day-the resort even texted us photos reflecting their great day. We boarded 2 of our dogs here for about a week. One is a very skittish shelter dog that they spent a lot of time and attention on to get him acclimated and comfortable (thanks for the videos!). Both dogs were worn out from all the playing when we picked them up. Highly recommended. read more
