Wife decided she wanted to get a small aquarium. We stopped in and started browsing around. Getting a fish was not a simple as I thought it would be, lot's of choices sizes of tanks, what fish goes with what etc. After a while we determined that we were on out own since the staff members were too engrossed in their own conversations to assist any customers. We also saw others in the same predicament. Okay, so we gathered what we thought we needed and went to check out. One register open. The lady checking out was obviously a cat women, one full carriage with individuals cans. The clerk is ringing up her order and carrying on a nice conversation while the line grew to ten people waiting. The blue shirted workers continued their apparently very important conversation. Finally, one worker came out of somewhere and open a second register and got the line moving. This store seriously lacks management. read more

This review is only for Emily M. I want to warn other dog parents to stay clear of her at all costs. Caylee, Sadie, and Danielle (No longer there she opened her own grooming salon) are fabulous. Caylee does a beautiful job on our standard poodle. Sadie and Danielle groomed our late toy poodle. We were always thrilled! Caylee had to cancel our appointment, so we booked Emily because the man that called recommended her. We bring our dog to be groomed every month, so when Emily made the snotty comment that she was a mess when we dropped her off yesterday, I KNEW that she wasn't very good. I mean for goodness sakes, we bring her more often than most people. Were you trying to cover up that you do a terrible job? Caylee never makes rude comments and makes her look like a beautiful princess. Emily hacked her. She shaved her tail without permission. It looks like a RAT'S long shaved tail!! I have never seen anything so terrible. Emily, how dare you! You should be ashamed of yourself. If you had called I would have told you that we would come and get her and don't you dare shave her tail! Yes, we will go back when Caylee can groom our little girl again. I would leave a picture but I won't embarrass my little girl. She knows she looks ridiculous. I can't believe we paid $150.00 to be devastated. I hope my warning helps other sweet dogs from this horrendous experience. the PetSmart location in milbury use to be reliable when it came to ordering dog food, I would be able to receive my order same day without any issues, the manager Marco was very unprofessional and rude and didn't care about what was going on with my order. now I'm left with no dog food at all and zero solution to my problem. they switched delivery service so if you order food for your pet and something goes wrong or doesn't show up your told to call the number of the delivery service that they went through only to be put on hold for the entire day. unfortunately PetSmart at the milbury location went from being trusted, to becoming a scam if you don't come in personally to purchase your pet food read more

I made a big mistake trusting my 1 y/o cockapoo to PetSmart in Milbury for a haircut. I normally take him to The Pampered Pet in Paxton. Their prices are reasonable, and their groomers are skilled, compassionate, and friendly. The Pampered Pet usually books 1-2 months out for each appointment. I had an appointment for my Cockapoo, since we go every 9 weeks to trim his curly fur. I had an appointment but had to cancel it because he was getting neutered. I completely forgot about his scheduled surgery when I made the appointment at The Pampered Pet. They were very understanding, and the earliest appointment the could offer was 6 weeks out. I couldn't wait that long, because his fur was getting long, so I made an appointment at Petsmart in Milbury where they looked at his fur, and they told me that it wasn't too matted, and they would wash, cut, and dry it without taking too much off. When I picked him up, I was horrified. Coco was entirely buzzed down to his skin. I was shocked and infuriated because they didn't call me to tell me they were buzzing him. If it was the summer, I would have been upset, but gotten over it quickly. It's been 38-40 degrees out, and the winter is right around the corner. Poor Coco is extremely uncomfortable having no fur. He once loved going outside, now I have to pull him out on a leash. He used to love to sit outside, and not anymore. Coco is not himself. He sits curled up on the sofa and won't move. I hesitated to make this review, because I don't like complaining, but my Cockapoo puppy is bald and miserable. I'm disappointed because the groomer told me his fur wasn't that matted and that she could give him a cut. Instead, now, Coco is shaved down to his skin and has no fur!!! It's late autumn, almost December. He walks funny, is itchy, not as playful, and shivers when he goes outside to pee. To me this is a total disregard for the well-being of a puppy. The groomer violated my trust. What an infuriating disappointment. How dare the groomer proceed to shave him to his skin disregarding entirely what I wanted, or what she told me she would give him. I will never do business with Pet Smart in Milbury again because the groomer who shaved my dog found the sloppy, speediest way to cutting my dog's hair by buzzing him. I lost all of my confidence and trust in this establishment. Buyer beware. read more

I always find the customer service at this location to be fantastic. Although there is typically only one cashier open when I visit there is rarely more than 1, maybe 2, people in front of my. Many employees in the store and they're very friendly. I was there earlier and at least 2 employees in the aisles said hello and asked if I needed help with anything. Convenient and competitive prices. I prefer visiting the store verses ordering online when it comes to cat litter and cat food so I'm here at least once every 4-6 weeks. read more

This was my go-to pet store. My, my, how things have changed. The people that work here, more specifically the blond woman with glasses that was training, are downright rude. They allowed a complete stranger to take over my Pet Perks account - she could give no explanation as to why and only responded with "well, someone came in and asked us to change it. What do you want us to do about it?!" Really?? I have had the same phone number for over 15 years. When asked about a customer service phone number she had no clue anything about it and played stupid: "yeah, I don't know anything about that." I'll never come back here and I'm cancelling my Pet Perks account...it's not worth my personal information being compromised. read more

I love this store. Minus one for rearranging the store last year. I've got this idea about not fixing what isn't broken & found it difficult to find supplies I would normally find (at the time, I had a diabetic cat, whose since passed, & found it difficult to find the prescription food I heeded once supplies were rearranged.) But the associates seem to really enjoy animals, and I've found them to be polite & more than happy to answer any questions I've had. May soon be getting a pair of parakeets, and the two young associates I talked to were very helpful in answering my questions. I learned a lot from my visit. Thank you. read more

recently i bought some new things for my fishtank here, they had a nice selection of live plants and substrate that i was looking for.

This Petsmart is not impressive. Actually, I was quite disappointed. So my review would be one star, if it wasn't for the friendly cashier at the checkout line today, she was helpful, efficient and made the experience just a little better. Besides that though, I had nothing but problems here. First, since the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley are somewhat on the newer side, this store should be updated like the rest of the new Petsmarts. It's not. It's old, with a unnecessary, ineffective layout, that is very choppy and difficult to move throughout the middle of the store. Plus, this place was extremely BUSY, yesterday 12/12, which I don't expect as my Petsmart is consistently dead (yet, this is the ONLY chain pet store throughout the surrounding few towns.....). The price scanner is very touchy, it may work for you or it may not, and it doesn't print out labels (like it should). This location was also all out of a specific dog toy-chew I normally buy at least 6 of, which was also disappointing. Checkout didn't take long, as multiple registers were open, and they do have a Pet Hospital and Grooming, but this location is still much worse than other Petsmarts and Petco's (for that matter). My suggestion is to go to Petco in Milford (which is much better, yet at least 20 minutes from here.....too bad there isn't another reasonable place to pet shop). But if that's too far, I guess people will have to continue shopping here..... maybe things will get better. Located in the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley, right off Route 146 in Millbury (Exit 9). Petsmart is in the side with Michaels and Pier 1. Not a place I'd return, but it has to work for people living in this area. 2 stars. read more

I always bring my dog here to get groomed. The staff is always nice and helpful with all the questions I have for them. They are also excellent at making my dog feel relaxed and they always do an excellent job at grooming him. The prices aren't bad either the staff also does everything they can to help you save money. The front end staff are also very friendly and helpful I love this pet store and will always come here. read more

Pet Grooming: Brought my dog in today to have his nails trimmed and grinded and since my dog has been diagnosed with Addison's disease and takes medication daily they are no longer willing to provide his services. But he has been going there for 5 years. Manager of the grooming salon sent the technician out to tell me. Very disappointed as my dog was always treated with the best care until today. It's so nice to shop here. The people who work here seem happy to be there AND to help. The food for my cats is almost always in stock and they carry the cutest toys (great for people like me who try to overcompensate for working long hours). They also have a lot of special and discounts that really help offset the cost of the more expensive brands of food. read more

This store was bad they groomed my dogs like crap they were so uneven and when I heard that they don't force dry their dogs they only crate dry them I was upset my dogs could have gotten hot spots plus the staff didn't know a thing about the food and wouldn't help me they kept ignoring me I suggest never going here go find an independent pet store they're a lot more friendly and have better food treats and services read more

Hope you never get the crabby old woman named Cheryl typically found in the fish department. Every time I go here she is rude to me and acts like she knows everything about anything and barely acknowledges her customers existence I've witnessed her ignore someone ahead of me for picking a fish. She saw them, looked back down at the podium, looked back up when they said "Excuse me" and walked away. She is awful. They have some great employees though like Crystal. She's an employee they need. And some others that I don't know the names of. And their selection could be better. Like a lot better. And they could have crickets in stock for more than one day a week. I came in tonight and I wanted a beautiful blue beta fish and some worker told me I had to be 18 after I told him I was 15, to buy a beta fish! He even asked for my birth year to see if I was lying or not, REALLY?? I'm not gonna lie about my age at a pet store! He said I had to come back two years later to get my fish. No I wasn't having that so I walked away and bought my fish anyways and out of curiosity afterwards I searched the age you have to be to purchase a fish in Massachusetts and that is 15 so maybe the employees should know the age before giving out false information! read more

Petsmart of Millbury, MA states they have a policy where they can not take a dog with a slight limp.I have a senior chocolate lab who has a limp from a hind leg ligament tear that we are choosing not to have operated on. Because she was having a bad day and a slight limp they say they could not take her. Speaking with the salon manager and another store manager just upset myself and dog more that she would never be able to be groomed there again. They had been taking her since her injury and this was the first time I was ever told they could not take her. I called the stores corporate number and that gentleman could not find said policy.Other family run grooming salons have had that Petsmart won't take senior dogs just because they don't want to. I will never be shopping at Petsmart of Millbury because of the poor service that I received. read more

If I could give the grooming salon a negatve star rating I would. I brought three of my dogs to be groomed today. Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic and ran 30 min late. Most groomers would be understanding. Not this one. Taylor went on and on about it. How she was now 30min behind. Our dogs were brought in because they are matted. She refused to groom one of them. All groomers will shave a dog down if the matting is to much. Not her. I spoke to the manager and let her know we will never have our dogs groomed by them again. We walked out and will find a professional groomer. One that enjoys their work. read more

I recently got a new puppy and the staff here have been so helpful on my past few visits. Forgive me as I don't know their names, but the woman with blonde-ish hair and glasses and the man at the register with a tattoo are absolutely amazing! They are so positive. They created such an amazing experience for me. Also, for the most part, the prices here are great! I got a crate here for $40 less than what it would have been at Petco (I hate Petco). I love the sales that they have on toys around the store. I love the PetSmart app. I have received a lot of good tips from the staff; one of the trainers even took a break from her session to give attention to my new little pup :) I look forward to taking my pup to training classes here and to exploring other services that they offer. My only complaint with this store was my cashier Sarah. What's the point of asking for a phone number for pet perks if she is just going to select any name? I told her she had selected the wrong name and she said it was fine. Also, from experience in working with and around people, there was no please, no thank you, or any sign of being polite. I've been here plenty of times, and never have I had a problem! Just for shopping, not grooming or the hospital here. The only compliant I would have is most of the toys I see online that says "in stock" at this store, I can never find. But they have plenty of other dog toys, I find myself interested in for my pup! I brought my new puppy in here once and everyone was friendly. The cashier was nice about my returns (a lot of items), since I rebrought them when they were on sale for blackfriday or cyber Monday. And even when I price match other items, all cashiers are great about it. I recommend looking the items up online first, then checking in stores because most items are cheaper online, so you could either order for pick up or price match in stores! read more

This is the only pet store that I'll go to if I need stuff for my dogs and cats. The staff are super friendly and the store is clean and big enough that you can comfortably walk around with your dog. The grooming salon staff are so great with the animals and they just adore my cats, so that's a plus. Even though having a vet inside the store is really convenient, I don't use Bandfield because it's extremely expensive and the vets in there don't get down on the same level as my animals. I like to know that they'll get down on the floor with the dogs and really interact with them. All in all, a really great store if you're looking for things for your pets. read more

I was trying to buy a couple of fish the other day and there was no one to be seen. I tried to communicate with the cashiers at the front to try and see if they would help me to contact anyone that could help me and they just told me that there would be someone over there, but there never was. I waited about a half hour for anyone to appear. All I wanted was a fish and a fish kit for my nephew for his birthday and I ended up waiting about an hour in total, being overcharged for the kit but not having the time to go back and get my money back, and I was late to his party and had missed the present portion of the celebration. I went to this Pet Smart after seeing a kitten on Pet Finder that I was considering adopting. When I arrived, the woman by the kittens explained to me that she was cleaning the cages and to return tomorrow where she promised I would be able to adopt (after telling her I'll go elsewhere, and them cleaning shouldn't effect the adoption process). The next day I returned and yet again they were 'cleaning the cages' (ie: in the room with the kittens on their cell phones, not actually cleaning) I explained what I was told the other day to another woman. She rudely told me she would not let me adopt a kitten despite what they said the previous day. I had a valid ID, proof of home ownership, had enough money for the adoption fees and would be buying all the supplies I needed there, but they still would not let me adopt. I guess this Pet Smart doesn't want their kittens to have a loving forever home. Frankly, after this run around they gave me, I don't trust them, nor do I feel they're professional. I would go somewhere else if you're thinking of adopting a kitten. read more

PetSmart in Millbury has very kind staff & trainers. I like the variety of healthy choices of food & treats that are available there. The only issue that I have is that because the store is so large and busy they do not take the time to actually care for my puppy. Took her there for grooming and yes she looked great but they said she had to be there for 3-4 hours. She's a puppy and needs to be able to "go potty" within that time frame. Despite having her go potty prior to grooming she still proceeded to pee at the register when she was let out of the crate in the grooming area. Of course I had to pay first but would have rather taken her right outside to pee first. No staff helped me clean it up. I had my hands full trying to pay with an active, curious puppy at the same time with other dogs/children trying to meet my pup. Very difficult frustrating... I think a smaller, more personal groomer would work better for us. read more
