I had a wonderful experience getting my Color Analysis Done. I had no clue what my season would be since I don't understand color, I just know like to wear dark purples and grey. I got my first and only color analysis done here! Unfortunately I was a little bit late but I do believe we covered everything we needed to within the time I was there. She sat me down and started laying colors on me and came to the conclusion that I am a Deep Winter. I am also a runner-up Soft Summer, which meant that that color palette also looks good on me but it's not my main palette. It's funny because I almost already knew, since I gravitated towards those colors anyways! She also told me what jewelry color looked good, what hair colors looked good, patterns types, thick or thin patterns as well, glasses shape, and makeup styles. I brought my makeup as well to see if they were good, and she recommended other things, which one of the lipsticks is my new everyday lipstick! (Black Honey by Clinique). She was very knowledgeable and was able to show us which colors were most flattering and which colors to avoid. After watching so many videos about color analyses in Korea, I found Personal Color Lab in Westminster. Laura was very quick and responsive to questions I had about the sessions before I booked online. Booking online and placing the deposit was very easy and simple. We just had our color analysis done on Saturday and Laura knocked it out of the park! Her studio is very inviting and clean. She had us fill out a questionnaire beforehand and then went though a presentation about colors and then it was on to the 1-on-1 color analysis session. Wow! There was a huge difference when she was going through the colors that I never would have thought. She also let us bring our makeup in to color swap and test to see if it was the right color for your skin tone. She also has additional makeup samples to try new colors and shades. Laura lets you video record the whole session, which was very helpful since she did go by each color pretty quickly since she is so knowledgeable. There's also a phone stand, so you can record the color draping part of your appointment and watch it back later. I came here with my friend and it was great! The wait area is pretty cute and they have candies there! We were helped right away. The experience itself was pretty eye opening and informative. She started with a powerpoint giving a good overview of the things that are important to take note such as how different colors can flush out the face or the difference between brightness and saturation, etc. Then she did the color draping. I really liked how she did it, because she took in account my preferences (for example, I don't wear yellow) and opinions but she also gives her own expert advice, like when a color will highlight my skin, or if it blends in to much, or if it washes me out. This is the part I really appreciated because I don't have an eye for these things. She also helped take pictures when I forgot to especially for colors that look really good. She also went over patterns which I never would have thought of. Everything is summarized and written down at the end, because it is a lot of information honestly! I was asked to take pictures throughout my assessment (cloth colors, makeup, glasses shapes) which was a little inconvenient because we only had an hour together, but when I look at my camera roll and see the pictures I took I remember all of the great insight she gave me about the colors that suit me best. I don't regret getting my color analysis done and will use what l learned to guide my clothing and makeup choices.
