I already knew about Daniel's Truth in Buena Park/OC, but taking their "Find Your Scent" perfume class at K-EXPO was honestly such a fun experience. Getting to create my own custom fragrance made it feel way more special than just shopping for perfume, and the class itself was surprisingly detailed and interactive. They even gave us cute gifts afterward Now I really want to visit their actual location and try more classes there. Definitely one of my favorite experiences from the event! read more

I've heard about Daniel's Truth through friends and I finally got to experience them at the K Expo. They had a perfume making class and it was SO worth!!! Daniel (ironically same name as the brand) taught the class and he made the class so entertaining. 10/10 would recommend and I'll definitely be visiting the store in person soon! read more

The perfume class was an excellent experience. We booked for two for the afternoon perfume making class, which is an entirely oil based class. I believe the class can seat 10-12 per session. There were six of us in this session. The session was about 1.5hrs in all. Parking is easy in the large plaza Upon checking in, we were greeted and shown to our seats. There was a nice card with our name on it, a spread of different scents and a work area with paper, a personalized bottle for our final product. Our teacher, Daniel, not the Daniel's Truth. Daniel was a great communicator and teacher. I honestly didn't know what to expect going in since my knowledge of perfumes is very basic aside from what brands I like. Daniel gave us an introduction on the company history, locations in Korea and other offerings. I felt like I learned a lot about the different items out on the market, the different brandings and marketing. Never knew the differences between an parfum or a toilette until today. As we went through the class, we went through each layer of parfum, creating our own unique combinations. I appreciate Daniel's informative explanation on the different scents, as well as the tips on what may conflict or not work with each other. In the end, we got to smell each person's scent and a winner is chosen to win a special prize. It's amazing how each person has the same spread, but everyone created their own unique scent. At the end, we also received a goodie bag that included a random hand cream and a gift card to used on their products. It's a memorable experience I would do again and you come out learning something new with a personal keepsake you can use. Daniel did inform us that the spread of oils will change in the future to be more fall themed soon. Maybe they'll change them for spring time as well Also learned they will be offering the cocktail and perfume class soon, which I will highly consider. Overall a great experience. I do like their signature scents as well so I'll definitely be picking them up soon with the gift card. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and had such a fun time! Ironically, neither of us wear fragrances daily, so this was a unique experience for us. Our class was taught by Daniel (not the Daniel of Daniel's Truth), and he was super helpful and knowledgeable throughout. Each person had their own little station with a wide selection of oils -- top notes, middle notes, and base notes. I appreciated that we started off with a bit of background on the history of perfumes, how they're made and sold, and what each type of note means. I went in thinking I knew my scent preferences, but after smelling each oil, I realized I lean more toward fresh, citrusy florals -- which is what I ended up creating! After making our signature scents, we named and presented them to the class, sharing the story behind each one. At the end, we were gifted a little goodie bag with a sample of one of Daniel's Truth perfumes, an engraved roll-on bottle for our creation, and a $50 gift card to the store. Plus, one of the sweet employees even gave us a cupcake! Overall, it was such an awesome learning experience and a really fun, unique way to spend time with a loved one. Highly recommend! read more

Booked a perfume making class at Daniel's Truth to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Booking online was very simple and hassle free. My best friend had taken this class a few months ago and recommended it to me, and I definitely recommend as well! Daniel was very friendly, FUNNY, and explained everything in great detail. In this class you are able to make your own personal perfume/oil, starting from top notes, to middle notes and base notes. It may be hard given that there are so many scents to choose from but you will end up with something so unique and personal to use for years to come. The store itself is very aesthetically pleasing, bright and clean. All the staff here are friendly and help you find your perfect scent. As a perfume curious girlie, I've always wanted to physically make my own scent. With Daniel's Truth in town, we figured it would be a fun treat yourself experience! The perfume class is $100 and can be booked on their website. Our class was a group of 10, and upon arrival, we got to test a group of top, middle, and base notes. We tested them on scent papers and on our own skin, before bottling up our creation. I started with a muddy perfume, but by the end of class, I ended up with a bottle of what I'd describe as a citrusy garden, which was what I was going for! Booking the class also comes with several perks, including our funny and knowledgeable guidance by Daniel, and the many gifts they provided us with. This was my second time at Daniel's Truth and it was just as amazing as the first. Daniel is an incredible teacher and the experience of creating your own oil is so unique and creative. I made an oil called 'Writer's Block' and somehow the entire experience felt like sitting in a warm living room, surrounded by inspiration. My cousin and I took the Signature Perfume Class on Saturday. We both had an amazing time. Daniel (not the Daniel of Daniel's Truth), our instructor was knowledgeable and charismatic. The class started with a brief history of perfume and the company. Also, he discussed the differences between the perfume strengths (eau de cologne, eau de toilette, etc). As someone who enjoys and purchases perfume, this was extremely valuable information. The perfume making aspect of the class was very hands on. Though I made a mistake (not due to Daniel's ability in teaching, but due to my lack of caffeine hehe), Daniel was quick with the solution to fix my issue. I was worried my perfume was going to smell horrible, but it turned out smelling wonderful. My bf loves the scent on me. Thank you Daniel! Highly recommend this class. Signed up for the parfum class to celebrate my bf's birthday, and we absolutely loved our experience with Daniel. We were part of the last class, so it was pretty small with two other people, and Daniel did a really great job guiding us through the process with lots of humor and by being really informative. The class consists of making your own perfume as you're guided through the different perfume notes to create your very own unique perfume. He was incredibly patient and helped us through, making sure our concoction was to our liking, and seemed to know exactly what to do to fix any problems. It was really fun smelling each note and mixing what I liked best. After a couple of days of sitting after the class, I found that I liked the smell even more. The class comes with so many extra gifts, like an engraved bottle, some free samples, and a $50 gift card. I would recommend this class for sure. It is so worth the price point and is great as a couple or even solo activity. read more

Took the parfum class on Saturday morning with Daniel C. and was honestly blown away by the entire experience. I didn't know what to expect , but I went from coming in feeling a bit shy and overwhelmed to ending class feeling relaxed and fulfilled. The class was informative, hands on, and a great pace. We went through history, breakdown of perfume layers, and then went in to creating our own scents. The entire experience is about 3 hours long. Be aware you may have a little friendly competition at the end to compare all of your scents and the stories behind them. Overall the class left me feeling sentimental, and truly a quality over quantity type of experience. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Daniel C and he was quite funny. He's extremely knowledgeable about his industry and helped us tweak our perfumes at the end so we wouldn't walk away with a "bottle of random oils". The funniest thing about this location is that you can see all the boyfriends, husbands, and partners and their kids just waiting outside milling around on their phones while their S.O. is shopping inside. When I went on the weekend it was pretty packed. I liked that there are some brands you don't generally see at other Asian beauty shops and that there are samples you can, I guess smell or swatch. There's make up, skincare (serums, toners, sunblock, face wash, etc.), hair care, body care, and some household goods like those air freshener sticks. However, after a quick look through I was just ok with the prices and the selection that they have here for my own beauty and skincare needs. Some of the items are a couple dollars more expensive that what I could find online, but that's understandable. I think my only issue was the stock that they had of what was carried and the state of the samples. Most of what did pique my interest, the cute eye shadow palettes and make up, were all sold out but were still on display (10+ items like this not just a couple) and the samples that were out for swatching looked absolutely disgusting and dirty. Smeared lipstick and cream and blush everywhere, some had hair and dust and other things in it. I dipped real quick. I don't know, I've been spoiled with ShinuyaLa and I'm genuinely quite surprised there's no K-beauty shop equivalent that does it like them.

They have a large variety of stones to choose from. I found my Florida Water and candles, exactly what I was looking for. They do not have a sign above the shop only on the window. It took a little while to find it, but it was worth it. I'm glad I found it and look forward to stopping by again.

It was such a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere that the two hours flew by. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy the entire experience. One thing to keep in mind: because the candle-making experience takes about two hours, be sure to arrive at least two hours before closing so you have enough time to enjoy it all. It's absolutely worth it! The owner is incredibly welcoming, and the staff was so warm, friendly, and attentive. We can't wait to come back!

Chris was incredibly responsive before the reservation and a was able to add one of my friends. Chris is also the wine maker and has won several OC Fair awards for this wine. He was interactive and friendly while still letting us do our thing. Gebby was very friendly and efficient and such a delightful person. The candle making was well explained and great scents. The wine was so good. The last wine was a port which I normally find too sweet and just too much and this port was the best I've ever had and would drink again! Thanks for a great experience!

Crystal is very reliable, her services are excellent, and her prices are very reasonable. As others have said, Crystal normalizes the entire experience of waxing, which, let's face it, can feel pretty awkward. Crystal is a professional and makes every effort to reduce the pain, checking in throughout the process. With time, I've had body parts waxed that I was initially too embarrassed to admit needed waxing. For example, my nose. Haha!
