Went here on a Monday for the first time and tried their famous tender pork chop. Was a bit skeptical about pork chops when I ordered them coz they are either dry or not tender or both. Hubby and I split the pork chop (thank goodness coz one order is good for 2. We also split the filet mignon since we want to taste both. The pork chop was splendid. It was the best pork chop I've ever had in my life. Was told it has been in the smoker for at least 6 hours that's why it came out juicy, tender and flavorful. It came with apple sauce but I didn't even bother having it so I could taste the real flavors of the pork chop. Didn't care much for the filet mignon since the pork chop became the star. Tho it was also good and well seasoned. For sides we ordered grilled asparagus and the Truffle Potato Wedges which were huge wedges, so it's only 6 pieces. Nonetheless they were good and crispy. The sides were ordered separately; it didn't come with the entrees. Our server Bryce was nice and responsive --he just needs to speak a bit louder and clearer so we can hear him. Other than that we're happy with his service. The vibe that evening was cozy (came in at 5pm) until 6 pm came and it was packed and got a bit loud. It was a bit pricey and we realized we didn't need that big portion of the pork chop for one order. We just had to go on Fridays because they have specials for lunches and the entrees came with the sides and costs much less compared to regular days. I had not been back to Perry's in a long time. During Covid we did a pick up. It took over 45 minutes for the pickup because it was very disorganized, unlike the other restaurant pickup experiences we had had at that time. Soon after they reopened for dine in we went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Service was disappointing and the food was okay. I figured staff count might have been low at that time. So when friends asked us to go recently I thought it was time. We went on a Monday during their 4 for $44 anniversary deal. Service was okay again. It did seem to improve as our meal was almost over. I must say the Steak & Tater Totter Bites were delicious! I was excited to try the Artichoke, Potato and Leek soup. It is all puréed and I would have liked some chunks of artichoke in it, but it was good. I went with the Chicken Oscar, because I love crab and it sounded really good. It was good, but not as good as I had hoped. The lemon bar was not great, but my husband had the Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake, which we had had before, and it is very good. Side order of "seefood" stuffed mushroom caps, consisted of butter, cream and bread crumbs, not a single hint of seafood, didn't see any. Happy hour Chardonnay was very small pour and not great. I had the smallest margarita drink (not martini) in my life, 4 ounce glass with fat ice. Very little or no tequilla and the server misted it with orange flavored substance like hairspray. The presentation did not cover for over priced under made drink. The ambiance was good, sat at bar table and it appears to be a place to be seen rather than enjoy a good cocktail. Date night at Perry's last night! First things first: Perry's is gorgeous. Modern, upscale, and elegant without making you feel like you're about to be judged for holding your fork wrong. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our first dinner companion was...a fly. I know this is Texas and flies don't exactly RSVP, but this one seemed determined to experience fine dining right alongside us. Eventually it either found another table or met its untimely demise. Either way, peace was restored. The manager stopped by within the first 20 minutes to check on us (his visit was unrelated to the fly), which was appreciated. Our server was prompt, friendly, and had excellent timing throughout the meal. The only miss? She gave us the speed-run version of the menu and never mentioned any of Perry's signature dishes. She didn't realize it was our first visit until we were paying the check, which explains why we unknowingly skipped what they're apparently famous for. The warm bread arrived early with butter so soft it practically spread itself. Dangerously good. We split the Caesar salad, and honestly, it may have been my favorite part of the meal. Lightly dressed with house-made croutons and seasoned sunflower seeds, every bite had crunchy, citrusy, salty/spicy goodness that somehow all worked together beautifully. For our entrees, my husband ordered the cedar plank-fired redfish, and I went with the special Beef Wellington. We both had the exact same thought after a few bites: the seasoning was winning the battle...against everything else. We love bold seasoning, but it felt like all the flavors were competing for attention instead of letting what seemed to be beautiful cuts of fish and beef shine. The loaded mashed potatoes, however? Zero notes. Cheesy, whipped, buttery perfection. Dessert was the chocolate chip bread pudding with homemade toasted marshmallow, and this is where things really surprised us--in the wrong direction. It somehow managed to be bread pudding...without much flavor. I didn't think that was possible, but here we are. Completely underwhelmed. To wash down our dessert disappointment, we ended the night with the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. And honestly? It almost redeemed everything. It tasted like the most decadent chocolate milk you've ever had--with just enough espresso to make it feel classy. This drink is dangerous in all the best ways because it goes down far too easily. Order one...just don't blame me when you immediately want a second. As we were leaving, we finally learned the real star of Perry's is the famous pork chop. Then one was delivered to the table next to us. Y'all...that thing looked about five inches tall, carved into slices like a pie, and could probably feed a small family. Holy moly. This place is very good! The service is good and the food is also very good. Happy hour I would say is definitely a hack, they have some great deals. When you order your steak, it comes on a very hot metal plate. Therefore, be mindful when ordering and either order one temperature down or remove it from the hot plate once it arrives because it will indeed keep cooking. Also, the au gratin potatoes do have a lot of leeks (onions) in them which is not advertised on the menu so that was a bit of a disappointment. I reviewed this place in 2022 and I said that I don't think I'd be back. Well I guess I lied. I came here for lunch on a Friday to get their pork chop deal. I believe you can get the pork chop deal before 5:00 p.m. for $22. The pork chop is also available for takeouts but they tack on 15% gratuity. Honestly this is a very good deal and when I was there on a Friday I think everybody was getting it. It's a lot of food. The pork drop was a little bit sweet on the outside and crispy and the inside was juicy. It also comes with the small side of applesauce and mashed potatoes. I've had Perry's on our list to do for a long time. We've heard about the amazing thick cut pork chop and decided to finally make a reservation. Of course it's a nice steak house so we dressed business casual...and fit in just fine. Once we stepped inside on the early Saturday night...I was taken aback by how elegant, but not over the top it was inside. It definitely has the upscale steak house decor but never felt arrogant or stuffy. Our server (her name is Hailey) was five star service, with a smile, all night. In fact, the service was absolutely what I would expect from a fine dining steakhouse. They were always there when we needed them but didn't bother us too much. I can't say enough good things about Hailey. She was knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. A perfect combination! I opted for the pork chop and my wife had the prime ribeye. We split the whipped potatoes and brussel sprouts. The sides are huge by the way. We couldn't even eat half of them. My wife La steak was the best steak either one of us have EVER had. I usually love coming to this location but today, not so much. I sat at the bar and it took about 5 minutes for her to acknowledge me, it wasn't that busy and then another 10 for my drink. I noticed she didn't ask me if I needed a menu for food. However, when others sat down that was the first thing she asked. Now here's why you came: Thyme lemon drop 9/10: this drink was great. So much so that I had 3. Get it...you won't be disappointed. Steak tater bites 6/10: you only get 2 and my tater tots were not warm at all. It's a nice combo though, but be warned the steak on top is medium. Not a problem for me but if you don't like pink meat, ask for it well or however you like it. Pecan salad 9/10: not a big fan of arugula but I liked the flavors in this salad. Perfect amount salad dressing, pecans and the flavors just go well together. Perry's is consistently our favorite steak house. We have been there twice in the past 3 weeks & it's our go to for special occasions. The atmosphere, drinks, steaks, other food & deserts always hitting on all cylinders. We've tried most of the cocktails & appetizers, haven't been disappointed yet. This time tried the Split Decision which is a version of New Yorker cocktail came with a side of red wine reduction to be poured in. Haven't had a cocktail there I haven't liked from Hog Hattan, multiple versions of old fashioned, Dragon Rita, Paloma & multiple wines we've tried. The NY Strip flight is always a go to as a way to get the right amount of true A5 Wagyu at a great price. Perry's filet is always awesome too with their butter & the Truffle Demi Glaze was a tasty addition. S'mores Bread Pudding is always awesome too with huge marshmallow & the table side flamed lemon bar was perfect summer treat. Service was solid. We've actually had some of our best service in the bar so don't be afraid to give that a go if dining room is booked & the bar atmosphere is quiet enough usually to have a similar if not better experience than the dining room. This time we were in the main dining room. I recommend asking for a stand alone table as the conjoined booth seats sometimes make it feel as though you're dining with other guests. What to add to the other reviews? Elegant atmosphere but also comfortable - nicer attire would be appropriate. We went for our anniversary celebration and discovered we were dining among many other anniversary tables - you could tell because we all had fresh red rose petals perfectly placed. What a lovely touch! We missed the white Tablecloth but maybe the roses would stain them, thus the lack thereof. Jada was our excellent waitperson and made everything flow smoothly - all perfectly timed. Pork chop is just to die for and the scallops and pasta were fantastic. We decided on Perry's to celebrate the wife's birthday. We arrived for our 6:30 reservation to discover valet parking and plenty of spaces available. While waiting on our guest we had an Old Fashion and Paloma both were made perfectly and really took the edge off. There were 6 of us and we were seated promptly.Our server Ivan filled us in on the details, the portions were large enough we were able to share and all get a taste. I chose the 16oz boneless ribeye the ladies went with Surf & Turf, the kids had steak and Fries kids menu. And SIL went with the Pork Chop which is their most popular dish. The ribeye is USDA aged Prime beef which was flavorful with each bite an are hand cut daily for freshness. The Pork chop seasoning was sweet with just a hint of some heat, slow smoked on pecan, perfect carmelization with hand torch and carved into 3 pieces at the table ribs, eyelash and the loin. Absolutely delightful and great presentation. Our sides were the inside out Baked Potato which was shareable. The kids and Ladies were pleased with their meals. I've been a Perry's patron for over 10 years and honestly rave over the food. Sadly, this was our second visit at the Grapevine location in the past two weeks that have been very disappointing. We brought guests whom never been to the restaurant before, and we've only spoken highly of the food and service. Tonight, what a HUGE disappointment. The service was terrible, our waiter would disappear for 30 minutes or longer at a time, we never got drink refills. The food was delivered cold, mac and cheese, cold. Two guests had the pork chops for the first time and they were very tough, luke warm and flavorless, very surprising as the pork chops are normally melt in your mouth tender. Two of us had the filet with lump crab, yet there was maybe a teaspoon of crab on the steak, very disappointing. Lastly, the asparagus on everyone's plate was old and yellow. I would have never served that looking like it did. Unfortunately, you've lost a loyal customer, we will not be back. There are far better places in the area that I would give my business to. Still 5 Star in our book but with a heads up for you today re: the "Off Menu" menu item, Turtle Gumbo. We're big gumbo fans being as how we're from the Gulf (of America :) Coast so we decided to give this a try as we also love turtle soup. Fortunately our server stopped by shortly after we had each tried several bites to ask "Do you like it?", to which we responded in unison, "No". For starters it was barely warm, it boasted very little rich roux based gumbo flavor, and was quite unpleasantly overwhelmed by what we perceived as oregano (we don't think it was the file). There is a lot of ground meat in the dish and we could not decide if it was turtle or ground beef. At any rate the texture of the ground meat was for us off-putting in a gumbo. Perry's commitment to excellence manifested itself when our server asked if we'd like something else. I protested at first as I hate to send anything back to the kitchen but she insisted. We chose the lobster bisque which we've enjoyed here before, but which today was just spectacularly rich and buttery. . And the pork chop? Well, if you have had the pork chop you know. IYKYK, Si? Amazing. Every single time. How in the world they maintain this consistency year after year and when cooking a gazillion chops a day is beyond me. But they do. Got the pork chop dinner on special, which is a smaller lunchtime cut. I couldn't imagine that thing being bigger- Good flavor, but dry towards the middle. there's a side of apple sauce that comes with the porkchop, which I could do without. mashed potatoes were good, but seemed to be squeezed out onto the plate. Your hosts/hostess' need to be retrained. Especially when you have at least a handful of them on duty. Attention to detail is extremely important and so is communication. When a guest arrives to pickup their online order at the time they were told their order will be ready and you have hosts that do not properly AND respectfully acknowledge the patron with clear communication, it is not acceptable. I patiently and kindly sat on the bench in front of the host desk for half an hour waiting for someone to bring out my order and for someone... like a hostess to communicate something with me in regards to my togo order. My order was already over 40 minutes past the estimated pickup time I was given. I had to go back up to the host desk and tell them how long I had been waiting for my togo order in order for someone to walk back to check and grab my food. Hosting is their job. Teach them to do and be better at it. Staring at some tablets is not the main job. It's not that hard to be hospitable and communicate with your guests about things regarding their take out order. Our most recent waitress Anna was an absolute gem. Her kind soul and knowledge of the menu absolutely made our dining experience a 10/10. Del Friscos Double Eagle WAS my favorite spot for steak. Then after a couple of mid experiences I tried this place. Walked in and the feeling was a bit more modern of a steakhouse. Celebrated New Year's Eve with Perry's with their Rare and Well Done Prix Fixe Menu. The service was attentive and timely. Lots of happy people enjoying their meals, music playing in the background. The first round was the Waygu beef, Perry's knows how to serve Waygu. It was excellent. Second round was a Caesar salad not pictured, it was fresh and flavorful well balanced. Third round was the 14 ounce NY strip cooked to my liking and great flavor. The CHATEAURDIAND THEE WAYS is highly recommended. The meal was pair with a bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs. For dessert pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate crunch tower. The chocolate crunch tower is very decadent but delicious . Cheesecake great taste . read more

We went to Perry's on a Wednesday night and to our surprise, they were incredibly busy. Since it was a weekday night and there were only two of us we didn't make a reservation - big mistake. Highly recommend you make one. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait and about 1.5 hours later, we were still waiting to be seated. They came around distributing bubbly to some customers apologizing for the wait but did not offer us any, perhaps because we didn't have a reservation? Maybe that made us less than, who knows. When we finally sat down, I ordered a house cab without looking at the menu. Another mistake - an overpriced mediocre wine at about $25 a glass. We had some steaks, lobster, brussels sprouts, calamari. Service was good and the ambiance was nice but overall nothing to write home about, just another overpriced average chain steakhouse. read more

We have eaten here several times over the last year. It can be difficult to get a reservation but not impossible. I would suggest going early as it can get a bit crowded. Noise levels are a bit high but not terrible. It is upscale so the dress is above casual. I have always had great service at this location. They do appear to be a bit more exclusive than the food deserves, but it is a very nice establishment. Prices are as expected with the level of food and service. The pork chop is the star and worth every bite. Steaks are dry aged and wonderful. Tip: ask the steak to be served on a plate rather than the standard cast iron skillet. It tends to overcook as it sits a your medium rare steak becomes medium to well if you don't eat it all in a few minutes. read more
