I got the crab cake and salad, for the entree I shared a steak (16 oz) - usually I can eat a 20 oz steak by myself but this was bigger than I excepted, I was pretty full after. The crab cake was a bit dry but the flavor was good, the sauce it came with helped but I would of liked it better if it was in a few small peices. Now the salad, it's a must try. My husband and I stayed at the Vin hotel walking distance to this charming restaurant. We celebrated our anniversary on a Wednesday and had a reservation. The inside is romantic, wooden floors, dim lighting. There was a piano player who played some of our favorite songs. Our waiter Jessie was absolutely great. Amazing meal at Dino's! We were in town for Thanksgiving and went into Grapevine to participate in their Carol of Lights. I made reservations outside at Dino's to watch the tree lighting. Great view and awesome food. We started with the Lobster Bisque and dumplings on a chilly night. They both are hands down a great way to start a meal at Dino's. Went here for my birthday celebration and had an amazing dinner. Service outstanding and I was wished a happy birthday from several people. Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Don't miss this. I had the opportunity to dine here on a Wednesday night date night. This restaurant is very impressive. The hostess was friendly, and the wait staff was on point, as they were not pushy but observant of our needs. The appetizers were terrific. We had the crab cakes and the scallops, which were very tasty and well-presented. I had the surf and turf consisting of the tenderloin with scallops and mashed potatoes. My date had the Red Snapper with rice. Both meals were prepared well and satisfying. A pianist was present, which gave the place an elegant feel. Dino's has a great atmosphere with a rustic Texas style with class and a pianist. The service is great and attentive. The food is not impressive and the steak lacked any seasoning at all which tasted like they just put a piece of meat on top of an open flame. First time to visit at Dino's and we had the best time. The inside is beautiful and a great date night location. Service was solid, even when the restaraunt filled up. We shared the caprese salad, which was delicious, and the ribeye with scallop and shrimp. Sides were excellent-mac and cheese and asparagus. I can see why many people would love Dino's. Impeccable ambiance, spectacular service, stellar menu options. I can also see why some might have reserves. First up, the crab cake. $20 for a single crab cake is a little much. My date thought it was a little on the fishy side. I didn't mind it and gladly polished it off for her. While I lived in Florida, Red Snapper was always my fish of choice off the dock, so I was so excited to see it on the menu. Served with a basmati rice and veggies. The snapper was phenomenal but I felt the sauce it was cooked with was a little on the salty side which took away from the snapper. The rice was a nice pairing but the veggies didn't hit for me. Next up was the Special of the Day, Surf and Turf, filet mignon topped with 2 scallops, served with whipped mashed potatoes and veggies. We both felt the steak was good, just not phenomenal. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The potatoes and veggies again just underwhelmed. I saw the reviews about the Macaroni A La Quatro Fromage and it didn't miss! Creamy and Cheesy. I felt it was a little on the salty side but my date didn't get the same impression. Maybe my pallet was just off this night. All in all, Dino's was a great experience. Really disappointed. We were looking forward to a Christmas dinner with friends, far from it. The food was not bad, I would consider it good, but the environment and service is bad. We were seated upstairs which was nice but the waiter has this attitude, he seemed really annoyed. We had no time to socialize, our food came out and didn't get our drink order. We had to ask for it, then got some story from the waiter that he had not entered the order yet. We had to ask for everything, water, silverware, drinks. Not a great night. We talked to others who said the same. I think they were severely understaffed on waitstaff. Very good steakhouse on Main Street in Grapevine. Somewhat quaint but enjoyable ambiance. Service is always exceptional as is the food. I had a house salad then a special plate with filet medium plus top with two large scallops under some Bernaise sauce with veggies and sautéed mushrooms. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir to top things off. Everything was delicious. Like most steak or seafood places this is expensive but nice for special occasions. No place is the expense more ridiculous than the bar, a mixed drink was $18 which is half the cost of the entire bottle at any local liquor store. At some point it's impossible to justify the cost, I think Dino's is at that point. This is why for me this place is only for very special occasions, but the food quality is exceptional. read more

Tourist TRAP!!!!! This place sits right on main in Grapevine. The Christmas Capital of Texas. The outside of Dinos is very inviting specifically this time of year, when they have the gas heaters on outside. When you walk in, it has an older feel to it. Borderline outdated. We went on a Friday night. They had a pianist there playing. Not very well. Lol. The service we received from the host and the server were great. Both greeted and treated us very nicely. We first started with a bourbon barrel, aged old-fashioned, and a Cherry cask cocktails. Both were made very wrong. For appetizers, we both got a lobster bisque and a caprese salad. The salad was great as it's really hard to mess up mozzarella beef, steak, tomatoes, and balsamic. The lobster bisque on the other hand was really sweet. It was very surprising that it was a sweet lobster bisque rather than a savory one. The prices for the steaks were priced well. Saying that to say we thought the steaks were going to be good. It's also in the name. I ordered the ribeye medium well the steak came out with no seasoning on it. The cut was OK. For an additional cost, I ordered my husband and I each our own Au Poiver sauce. Unfortunately, they were just a brown colored sauce with no seasoning, specifically pepper. My husband also ordered a steak and it was very similar to mine. Just lacking flavor and a cheap cut of meat. Both steaks came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables tasted great. The mashed potatoes were very under seasoned and of course there was no salt or pepper on the table. There was a gentleman going around with a pepper grinder, but it must have been dirty as barely any pepper was coming out of it. Definitely would never go back to this place. Came here for my birthday! They had a Christmas tree up and a lady playing Christmas music on a piano. Low lighting with a stark case to the second floor made the area seem cozy and like a casual living room.
