We stopped by here on a mission to "restyle" my brother. The store was empty-ish when we came in, and when my brother mentioned the look he was going for (smart casual), the salesperson (Alex) working at the register joined us on said mission. He was super, super helpful and found an entire outfit of pieces that looked great and were all basically exactly what my brother was looking for. There was zero pushiness at all and seemed to have a genuinely good time just helping us out and finding what they had that would fit what we were looking for. (I'm honestly genuinely hoping he gets a commission because I feel like this kind of customer service is pretty hard to find these days.) Just as an aside, my brother updates his wardrobe something like once every 5-10 years and balks at the thought of spending more than $20-30 on an article of clothing. Perry Ellis is a really good place to get "off the rack" suits for the special men in your life. The sales professionals are super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The best part - I LOVE the look of their suits! Sometimes the suits need to be altered by a professional; sometimes they don't. The suit prices are almost always a good deal, even after you factor in the cost of tailoring. Based on available cost and choices, I typically don't buy ties or cufflinks at Perry Ellis. But that's okay, because Perry Ellis does suits RIGHT! Tip: Occasionally they run sales that make their ties and shirts very affordable, so keep your eyes pealed. read more

I had a quick 1 day advance notice that I was to travel to the east coast to meet some bigwigs from my workplace and dresscode was suit and tie. Who the heck wears suit and tie in NorCal!?!? I went to many places but this store was fantastic. The customer service is top notch. The salespeople helped me out immensely with all the current fashion trends and the right suit/tie combo. The guy even tied the tie for me in an old fashioned way that works back east. Just terrific customer service. Best I've experienced and because of that they've got my business for any future clothing needs. Also the prices were unbeatable. 70% off everything! Hello I never like having to report a bad experience but am really disappointed in my experience I had today 7/28/2019 in your Perry Ellis location at The Great Mall in Milpitas California. Store:00656 at 11:07am this morning. I came in to return a Suit jacket, suit pant, and 2 dress shirts that I had purchased from your Livermore California location. The manager who's name on the receipt says "Lee", was very rude and shushed me a few times by putting his hand up, pointing it at my face, and telling me not to speak when he is talking. I couldn't even get a word out initially because he kept shushing me! I put my drivers license on the counter just in case he needed to verify that my ID matches my card and he gave it back and said he didn't need it. I also paid by debit card and your receipt clearly says, "Refunds will be made to the original form of payment". Well I asked him if I should slide my card to put my pin in for the refund and he said "he didn't know how I paid and that he put it back as credit. Then he pointed at the return receipt showing the credit, but my original receipt shows I paid with debit. Clearly the receipt says I paid by debit card. So instead of me being able to get my money back right away. Now I have to wait almost a week because he neglected to follow the policy on the receipt. I tried asking him about why he didn't put it back as debit and he turned his back to me and said "your done" then just ignored me. Look I have been in sales since 2005 and I am a manager and work in fitness sales and have also worked in corporate sales. Ive been doing this for almost 15 years. His attitude and how he presented himself was just not right and no customer should ever have to experience that just because of a return. That to me is just unacceptable. How he is a manager with that attitude puzzles me! He wouldn't last a day working at other sales jobs with that awful attitude and rude gestures. I hope you actually read this because seriously, he shouldn't be a manager If he is going to present himself and represent your company like that. You guys have awesome clothes and I will continue to shop in the future but not at store 00656 if Lee is working there! Thank you read more

I haven't been to the Great Mall in a long time and did not notice the return of Perry Ellis. Apparently, they've been back about 1 year already, after a 4-5 year hiatus. The people working there are helpful and friendly. I met one individual Raymond who was really patient working with me and several guys as we try on multitude of shirts. These shirts have been shrink wrapped so he need to remove the pins, plastic, cardboard, and tissue paper. I like the shirts here compared to Van Heusen (a mainstay at Great Mall) because they have shirts that are 90%+ cotton, rather than a 65% cotton/45% poly blend. I simply like the natural cotton. Anyways, the shirts here are high cotton and are well priced. On the other hand, their pants can be better. Dress pants look sharp but they are 10% or less wool. If I want to wear stuff like that, I guess I'll keep them in mind... Overall great service which is hard to find nowadays in a regular store (unless--say, you hit Macy's men's dept but that's for suits). So, in the meantime, for good fit and friendly help, this is the place to check out. read more

This is where my husband goes to buy suits and shirts at a reasonable price. They have sales that are fantastic and carry a range of styles and sizes. Because the prices are decent, we are wiling to try a new style. All of the garments we have bought here have held up well. Highly recommended! read more

Prices are okay but quality and fit is an issue. Good if you are looking for belts, socks, or cologne. Clothing doesn't fit right and shrinks after laundering. read more

I have been to many different stores with varying levels of customer service and I worked in retail for over a year. Today was the worst customer service I have Ever received or seen. I ordered a suit online and when it arrived the jacket was too small so I went to this location to exchange it about two weeks ago and had no problems at all. But I still had a size that did not fit so I decided to return it today. I called asking about their return policy and the phone was not answered until the third time I called. When the lady answered she responded flatly with "30 days." I was in the middle of asking what time they were open till when she hung up on me. When I walked into the store no one was watching the front for the first 10 minutes, and when someone finally came out I was not acknowledged until I approached him and asked if I could return the suit. He told me he would get his manager and I was asked to wait by the register. I was ignored again for another 10 minutes before the manager stood at the register and did not greet me, but just stared flatly and waited for me to say something. She asked me for my receipt when I told her I had already previously exchanged it and I had the original online receipt but lost the exchange receipt. Then she said "I can't help you then." The items were still exactly the same price online and in store so I asked her if there was anything at all she could do for me and she responded with a flat "no." After going back and forth trying to get some help I said "thank you for your time." And she just said "ok" she did not apologize for the inconvenience. She did not offer me a number for customer support or corporate. She did not even say goodbye or have a nice day. She was extremely curt and rude throughout the duration of my visit, and they were still open for a good two and a half hours and weren't busy. This reflects very poorly on the store as a whole especially the management. I will not be shopping there again. read more

This was my first visit to this Perry Ellis store. If you haven't been to this brand before I recommend you try it. My visit was very nice and the staff was very helpful. I was trying on over 10 different pants and Raymond helped me throughout the entire process. He checked to make sure I was doing well and changed sizes for me over 5 times which made it possible for me to purchase that product. In the end I ended up purchasing more and happier with my shopping due to ask the help Raymond provided me. He made sure to neatly fold all the clothes and place the suit in a suit bag and walk around the cashier desk to personally hand them to me (mighty gentlemen touch). The clothing is great quality and they had a great sale, the store was well organized easy to navigate through to make selections and more importantly it was clean. I recently went into this store with my boyfriend to pick out some nice dress clothes. He is very picky and a horrible decision maker which is annoying even to me!
