I recently visited the Indochino location at Westfield Valley Fair while shopping for several suits for a new job. I had seen some clearance and sale suits online and wanted to reference those options in-store.   Unfortunately, the initial service I received was very disappointing. The first associate(blonde dyed hair asian worker) I worked with discouraged me from the clearance/sale options by saying they were all made from "cheap" linen material that creases easily, which he said explained the discount. That seemed odd to me, especially since these were Indochino's own products. I later noticed that the sale and clearance options included other fabric blends as well, so the information I was given did not appear to be accurate.   Because I did not feel I was getting helpful guidance, I ended up sitting in the store and placing my order online myself. I purchased approximately $2,000 worth of suits before discounts. During that process, the same associate also suggested that I should buy "nicer" suits because of the job I was starting, which came across as judgmental, unprofessional, and inappropriate.   After I completed the online purchase, he helped me schedule a measuring appointment for 3:00 PM. At that point, another associate assisted me, but the experience still felt disengaged and unhelpful. It seemed like the level of interest dropped once the purchase had already been made online.   The reason I am still giving 2 stars is because another gentleman later stepped in and completely changed the experience. He seemed to recognize that the visit had not gone smoothly, took over the appointment, measured me efficiently, offered helpful insight, and explained how the customizations would affect the final suit. His professionalism and service were excellent and were night-and-day compared to the earlier part of the visit.   Overall, the branding is what made me walk in through the door and I have yet to receive the final product but the customer service experience was very inconsistent. The final associate was great, but the earlier interactions made the visit awkward and frustrating. read more

I have been an Indochino customer for over 15 years. I have purchased multiple suits, referred countless people, and defended the brand as a solid value in made to measure clothing. What Indochino is doing now is deeply disappointing and frankly insulting. In recent weeks I watched a suit I personally bought for $699 get relabeled as a $949 Luxury suit. Nothing changed. Same fabric. Same construction. Same product. The only thing that changed was the price tag so a fake discount could be advertised. This is not a sale. This is price manipulation. Indochino has never been a $949 suit company. Even their so called Luxury line has historically lived hundreds of dollars below that number. Quietly inflating original prices and then promoting large percentage discounts is misleading and erodes trust. Long time customers are not stupid and we remember what these suits actually cost. If the company wants to raise prices or reposition itself, then be honest and do it transparently. Do not rewrite pricing history and expect loyal customers not to notice. After more than a decade of support, this kind of deceptive pricing feels like a slap in the face. For that reason alone, this earns a one star review. read more

Come here to order a new suit. It is the second time I order in this store. The first time I ordered during the lockdown and I did everything online. I came to the store for adjustments on the online order. This time I had the full experience. The staff were super helpful. They showed me a lot of options, guided me through the process, gave valuable advice. They also showed me some options on sale, I picked something nicer than my initial choice and still within my budget. The experience in the store is a lot better than online. Wow! I must say, ordering a custom suit from Indochino has changed a lot in 8 years. The first suit I got from them was close to 8 years ago in their San Francisco location. I remember the parking lot at the location charging by the 15 minute increment since it was in the financial district. They took minimal measurements and I ended up having to get my suit altered. Fast forward 8 years later and now there is a store closer to me! I happened to come in around the holidays to take advantage of a sale. I made an appointment to get measured up and was surprised at home many measurements they took. I was convinced I would still need it to be altered. I just got my suit this week in the mail and I was surprised to see that the suit fit me like a glove! I want to get more suits from them! I definitely think YMMV since it is such a custom product and bodies can change so much, but the overall experience between the sales folks, their responsiveness on the phone, and the detailed measurements was impressive. read more

**Update mid order 1/28/24** I'm currently crossing my fingers: while yesterday I got an estimate of 3-4 of weeks ETA, I came back in today and they told me it would be 8 weeks for processing, as the factory had a planned shutdown from February 2 to February 14. Whoa. Very alarming considering I didn't hear any of this yesterday, but the ladies at the showroom today, 1/28/24 let me know they'd expedite my order. Let's hope this all works out... will keep y'all on Yelp posted with the updated results based on how this is handled!! *Gulp* *** TL;DR SUMMARY 1/27/24: Great experience, lots of customizations. Come prepared for a smooth appointment (see decision points to prepare for below) or lean on the team for guidance if you're clueless like I was. To avoid wandering the mall, the store is right next to the Eataly entrance of the mall. Call ahead to book an appointment. REVIEW 1/27/24: I've never ordered a custom suit before, so was initially pretty nervous to shop here for my wedding day tuxedo. Thankfully, the service they provided at Indochino was friendly, warm, and professional. I called in a week prior to make an appointment and the kind lady on the phone helped squeeze me in for a consultation. Didn't catch her name but wanted to say "thanks!" Experience: Upon arriving to my appointment, Sterling supervised my experience and helped me with everything end to end. From providing suggestions to asking about the ideas I had to taking down measurements, he was really helpful and provided tons of guidance. There were TONS of options to pick from (I counted 26 decision points just for a 2-piece tux and shirt,) but thankfully there were plenty of examples of each choice on the floor for me to look at, feel, and use to help inform my decisions. Product: If ever you're planning to come here and want a heads up of how to mentally prepare, you'll want to come in with a POV on the following customizations: jacket color, jacket lining pattern, number of buttons, number of vents, pleated or flat pants, height of your pant leg hem, suspender buttons, belt loops or waistband, shape of lapels, pockets slanted or straight, shirt collar spread or showing the bow tie, shirt cuffs with buttons attached or french cuff links. If this list looks intimidating, don't worry, I was confused AF but asked for help and recommendations to guide me along. Cost: I'll be honest that I'm really nervous about the cost. The custom jacket and pants come out to $600 before taxes, and are hands down the most expensive clothes I've ever bought. I figured that because this is for my wedding that it'll be worth it. (They say this is most people's most photographed day so... guess the ROI will be there...) Process: From end to end, the ETA quoted for my order is 3-4 weeks, with 1-2 weeks of lead time after that if I'd like any further alterations made. With today being January 27th and my event day in early April, I'm a smidge nervous about how this will go but hopeful given the reviews I'm reading. Italian suits sold here does not mean they are made in Italy, the fabric is just sourced from there for their Italian selection but they are ultimately assembled in China factories. Semi-deceiving to consumers if you're not disclosing this upfront , I would say for the price being paid it's better to get a suit being sold from the exact same factory at a lower cost somewhere else. read more

Update with suit quality. Received it and it was pretty terrible. They called for a remake on the jacket and once that one came in we sent it out for alterations. I return to visit for a final look and the gentleman that worked there was very dismissive and didn't give me any sense confidence that the suit looked as intended. Reiterating, it is my first suit and have nothing to base it off of. I got a second look from an independent tailor who said the suit and pants looked awful. Immediately asked me if I looked into the return policy for indochino. Ended up paying an extra $400 for tailoring. This is all documented with a trusted and accredited tailor. Unfortunately indochino will reimburse you up to $75 if the alterations are made only in the first 15 days. Although many (not all) of the associates are attentive and knowledgeable. Indochino is taught to cut corners to prevent doing work for less meaningful alterations. This leaves you with a sub par suit for the ill-informed consumer. For a $600 suit, weeks of waiting for remakes and alterations. I shouldn't have to independently get it altered for damn near the same price of the suit. Even though I enjoyed my initial experience here, I will not be shopping at IndoChino furthermore due to the quality of the suits. read more

My partner came to make customized & measured suit a couple of weeks ago . The staff who walked us through the fitting and selection process was pretty pleasant and seemed informational in offering us our options for customizations . However ... After we placed order and everything that same night , my partner went online and noticed that there were discounts for a select few types of fabric . The staff who helped us out informed us NONE about this . But we let it slide this time ; we thought it was not a big deal . Today we came back because my partner went online and saw that there was a side-wide sale , so he decided that he'd come back to buy / order a shirt (to go with the suit he'd ordered) . When we arrived , we were told that typically the shirt should be offered at the same time that we ordered the suit (so we wouldn't double the shipping fee) . When we told him we were not informed of this he went "oh really ?" He helped us with ordering the shirt . Upon checking out , we asked about the discount . He said "yeah we took off the shipping fee ." I believe we had been cheated with the discount ; they should have compensated their mistake by waiving the shipping fee IN ADDITION to the site-wide discount , not in place of it . We proceeded with the order because my partner just wanted to get it done (we made these orders for our wedding) . But if there was a next time we for sure would not come back here . read more

Came in a little after 7 to see if a buddy of mine would be able to get a suit here. I walked in and no one was in the lobby so I waited by the front table. Another customer came in and was standing just behind me to my left and we both waited to be helped. The gentleman walks out form the changing area and immediately looks at the two of us and walks over to the guy behind me first without even stopping to ask who was next or anything. This completely caught me by surprised as well as the guy behind me who stood their with his jaw on the floor. He cuts the guy off and says I was next at the same time I voiced aloud, did that just happen? I don't want to assume how or why I was blatantly disregarded and passed by so I will talk about what happened next. I was given great service by the associate and when he didn't have the answers I needed he had his manager come and assist us. I wish I got the managers name as he truly understood style and service. He went out of his way to assist us and make us feel comfortable and valued. They do make suits but it starts with a template and they go from there. We were looking for a bespoke suit that is built from scratch so they couldn't assist us but I definitely will be back for something from them in the future as they had some beautiful fabric. read more

Posture was made fun of, when my shirt collar was rising way above the jacket. As a Military Man myself for 4 Years Wore a Pressed Uniform for our Country. Was told it was my Posture instead of a poorly sized shirt to Jacket ratio. My fault for trying to save on a coupon. But when I first received my suit it was super wrinkly for a "new" suit. First fitting was super tight on the shoulders and left a baggy trouser for myself. Went into the Store Location and was told "what's wrong with it? It could be your posture make sure you sit and stand straight at all times before your posture will be made fun of. It was the Manager who said that as well which made it worse. read more

5 Stars for the professional that measured us. I can't recall his name but he was a tall, black gentleman. Who was very professional and made our visit very pleasant. However when the suit came. It was like opening a box filled with a clown costume. I'm not exaggerating! Everything in the box was not tailored to fit. They have a policy, if nothing fit they would adjust it within 2 weeks of receiving it. I decided not too. If I had to wait 2-3 weeks for a so called tailored one. How long would it take for the adjusted one just to be the same clown outfit? I took the whole suit to my tailor. She literally asked me confused and appalled "Did you get this hand made, tailored?!" I just chuckled and said yeah. Customer service told me they could only give me 75 dollar reimbursement for any outside tailoring. The funny part is it cost me another $157 to fix their fuck up. I've been really pleased with my experience at Indochino. I bought two suits during my first visit last year and a vest, dress pants, and a pair of chinos my second visit last month. Both times I had a few issues with my orders, however the team I worked with was super good at addressing my concerns. Martin is extremely professional, polite, and has great style recommendations. Valentina helped me over the phone with a concern I had with my second order and it came back perfectly. I really commend them for their skills in making me feel taken care of and fitted well. Let me say upfront, you need to understand the limitations with made to measure styles. It's not bespoke; you're not coming back to make sure everything is perfect before it gets all stitched together. That means after they take your measurements and your order is mailed to you, you may need some adjustments or have something redone. I'm the type of person that tries to plan everything well in advance, just in case things aren't the way I anticipated, and this was fine with me. As long as you understand what you're getting into and you're not on a time crunch, it's a great experience. If you know this, I'd say you'll have a good time here. Also, having an appointment helps! My first time ever getting a customized suit for my best friend's wedding. I'm the man of the honor and the wedding is in June. I totally forgot his name (worked Monday April 12, 2021 @11am), he helped me through the whole process. First they take your photo, then they take your measurements, and lastly ask a couple of questions. After, we moved on to the customizations from interior lining, to vents in the back, to monogram inside the suit, and buttons/pocket styles. It was so overwhelming, but I'm glad I get to create a personalized suit for myself. I can't wait for it to arrive in 3 to 4weeks. read more

Made an appointment for my friend and I to get suits for each of us. We were taken care of by Sterling, who was working by himself as his coworker called in sick. Despite this, he was able to go in detail about suit customization, gave advice, and was friendly throughout the process. Indochino has great selections in terms of customizing material and personalization. Side note: Along with helping me and my friend, a third customer was also being taken care of by Sterling. They seemed like a difficult customer, but I saw that he did all he can in order to answer their needs. Sterling surpassed my expectations with his help. We wouldn't have been as satisfied with our suits without his help. read more

They took their time on this and I couldn't be happier. 1/5 for the intern sitting behind the desk on the side. I revisited the shop to follow up on a billing change, because there was a difference in availability on the website. As that was the advice that someone else in our party received from Indochino corporate. When I went in, he parroted "I can't do it, it's against store policy" and "Can I go help real customers now?" from the get-go in the conversation. Best guess is that they were still undergoing training. 5/5 for corporate and their customer success team. It's not even a comparison; they were more helpful than the intern who was on-site. After my attempt at conversation with the above intern, I emailed customer success and they resolved the issue in less than an hour over email. 5/5 for the finished product. Review on Customer Service/Tailoring: I received the suit and had to book an appointment, which the only available appointments online were three weeks out. I was in no hurry, so this was not an issue. Once I received my suit and went in, the tailor said, "this looks good to me." I replied, "do you think it is a little loose?" He then proceeded to make adjustments based on my comment. After putting in a few markers for adjustment, I stated I prefer a slim look. I was told it would be impossible based on the suit because it would make it too tight. I proceeded to follow his advice since he is the expert. Two weeks later, I returned to the store to obtain the tailored suit. I wasn't asked to try it on. I was handed the suit outside the change room and told, "here you go." I found this odd. Why wouldn't they suggest I try it on? I went home to try on the suit. The suit was still pretty baggy, to where I looked like I was a young kid in a suit where your parents would say, "you will grow into it." Unfortunately, I am no longer growing. I made an appointment at Nordstrom to get it tailored, and what they returned was fantastic. I was able to get the perfect fit by going to another tailor. When speaking to the tailor at Nordstrom, they assumed I had lost weight since I got the suit. They were surprised that I told them I had received this suit less than a month ago. They also mentioned the pants legs were too short, but Nordstrom rep corrected this. Indochino allows customers to get reimbursed up to $75 when getting a suit tailored by an outside vendor. I paid for the adjustment thinking Indochino would reimburse me. I contacted Indochino on their website, and the customer service rep told me that since it was more than two weeks from receiving the suit, they would not be able to reimburse me. BUMMER! Review of the suit (After final Adjustment at Nordstrom): AMAZING! I like the quality of the suit, but I would recommend getting it tailored somewhere else if you decide to purchase a suit from Indochino. read more
