This might be my new go to shoe place. I used to shop here a lot in the past but they kept moving locations. Came here twice in two weeks. First time to see what they had & ended up snatching some Adidas sneakers. I was helped by John? Man next time I go I go I'll grab his name & update this. He was attentive, patient and helpful. I would have given SP a five star although i am speaking from the perspective of having someone I know who was wrongfully terminated for a mistake that could have been alleviated. i believe this corporation hires way too young sales/floor personnel and do not train them to be successful instead mgt hold nice titles like district mgr or manager but all they do is blah-blah-blah without really mentoring their employees. What's more interesting is the fact that when an employee is sent up to H.R. the fact finding on an issue is pretty bias and lame. I believe Senior management should take a good look at performance and sales. The former employee I know of had TOP sales and was consistent. Also, he was promoted to a position that only was a TITLE rather than someone who really received guidance and proper training from the power above the Mgr/AM etc. Again, it doesn't mean just becoz u have the title of Mgr. that you're perfect and know everything. STORE: cool entrance with a red cave like entrance and clear floor strip with shoes and lights you walk over. Like walking over an aquarium of shoes. Overall brightly lit store so you can see what you're looking at. I hate dimly lit stores. Young hip trendy gangsta feel to this store with young workers and shoppers. To the right are boys shoes. They sell Jordan's here, which is what I was looking for. They had some on sale so that was a plus. STAFF: I didn't ask for help, but when I left a young guy said thanks for coming or have a great day, I forgot which, but that was nice at least. I came to this location to exchange my shoes for a larger size and was denied because of my shoes being worn. As a previous review mentions, I too did not wear my shoes outside and only tried them on at home with socks. The manager or whoever was there for the closing shift was very rude. She used her fiber to wipe the shoe and with attitude said "see it's not coming off. Extremely disappointed with the disgusting and unprofessional customer service this location has to offer. She also proceeded to tell me that I can "return at the eastridge" location because she isn't going to "put them on her display floor." Last time I checked it's a chain store and she doesn't own it. I will be attaching before and after photos of the shoes that I wanted to return. All I did was use an old rag at home to dust off the bottom of the already good conditioned shoes. Came here looking to find a shoe where me and my girl could both match in and rock. Right when I entered the store I was greeted by a dude that had dreadlocks. Couldn't get his name and all I got on the receipt was his salesperson number. He gave me different choices on shoes that couples been wearing or what was the hype right now. At first I wanted to get matching adidas but it's difficult to find a men's and women's shoe that are the same and then the size to fit me and my girl. I was stuck between the nike huaraches or the puma suede but I finally ended up getting the puma's. I had such a bad experience that I decided to take this time to do a Yelp review. On Thursday, 3/28, I receive a call that I won a pair of Yeezy 350 Clays in my size. I confirm on the phone that I will pick it up the following Saturday morning. I show up that morning and the manager tells me my name isn't on the list. Which is obviously confusing because I received a call saying I won. I tell him this and ask to make sure, but the manager immediately tells me that "he's not going to continue this conversation and his guy can escort me out 'that way'" in an extremely derogatory tone for absolutely no reason as if I was trying to attack him. I leave and immediately call the number that told me I won that Thursday. It turns out to be an Associate named Miguel who answered the phone. He remembers he called me (how else would I have his number) and that he was working closing that night to see what he could do to make up for the mistake and bad customer service. Dude, I get it - my name wasn't on the list and was raffled off to other people (although I was called before them). But the manager did not have to be an asshole about it and make me feel like I was a victim of a crime. Seriously his attitude was unnecessary as well as his reactions to me just saying I received a call and someone made a mistake. Part of a retail job is customer service - the manager had none of it. Luckily Miguel was sincere and kind about his mistake after talking to him on the phone twice. You can't make someone go out of their way to pick something that they think is reserved for them and then tell them they aren't getting the shoe. At the end of the day, someone made a mistake and that's whatever - but the customer service holds. Unfortunately, the manager of this store had none of it and was disrespectful after me just trying to explain what happened. People need to be held accountable for customer service.. The staff just tries to sell you any pair of shoes to you either by hook or crook. I asked for a pair of shoes that would help me play badminton and they gave me something that doesn't have good support at the bottom. While checking out, I had confirmed with the staff if I can return the shoes (they were in hurry since it was about closing time) and she said, "YES" I can return them or exchange for other pair within 30 days. A week later, I went and the guy on cash counter says "You cannot return them" and he is not willing to cooperate at all. A freaking expensive pair of nike shoes that is no good for playing badminton and they are not at all interested in helping you out. Having worked here when I was 14 when this company was truly a "mom and pop shop", my review of this place isn't going to be the same as the average customer. Yes, this place hires a bunch of young hood-rat looking kids who act as if they're husslin' drugs and not tennis shoes. Yes, this place sometimes feels like you're at your home-boyz house party and not a shoe store. Yes, the workers will try to sell you another shoe or size not what you originally asked for if it's not in stock. With that being said, I give Shoe Palace the recommendation for always having a wide selection and consistently lower prices by $10-20. Look, I don't go to a shoe store expecting service like I'm at the Olive Garden. I go because I want to buy something I like cheaper than the store next door. I always knew that there was something wrong with this company from when it first started but hey, my guy friend and i went here and he saw these shoes that he really liked but they didnt have it in his size so they were willing to order, waiving shipping...ok so you would think, awww how sweet of them, what great customer service....NOT! Obviously, we asked what can they do for us since we had to drive all the way out there just for them to incorrectly have the shoe AND they dont have a return policy (nor were their shoes cheap anyways) so we asked if they can ship it to san bruno instead...they said ok and did their apology stuff 4. over a month has gone by and still no phone call about the shoes, call the san bruno store and they said it said in the system that it was still in the wareshoe....OVER A MONTH AND ITS STILL THERE? then she later said it was in milpitas....WTF!?!?! are you kidding me...however the girl in san bruno was nice and was being super sorry even though it wasnt her mistake and she called the milpitas and got everything confirmed and she even said that she talked to mgr on duty about giving us some kind of discount or so. 5. WENT BACK to milpitas and we got them...FINALLY...and we mentioned about what the san bruno girl had said and the mgr who she had spoke with, said he couldnt do anything cuz hes not authorized or something to do so and we had to contact customer service...REALLY?!?! REALLY?!!?! and your a mgr? ok wow...i mean even 10% or 30% would have been nice for this horrible service that we have been receiving.... the funni thing is the person who helped my guy friend that first time with the shoes, didnt even bother coming to talk to us after that...like i felt like he knew he fucked up and didnt want to deal with us.... it took us about 2 months to get a freaking overpriced pair of shoes....yea never again read more

Never shop here. No returns allowed, and joke customer service. First and LAST time customer, now turned Anti-Shoe Palace advocate. (1) They only allow you to try one one show, specifically the left shoe. They then use high pressure sales to guilt you into buying the shoe, promising 14-day return policy. (2) Upon trying to return merchandise, they flat out refused and claimed that the shoe "has been worn". Nope. I just tried on the LEFT-hand shoe in your store previously. (3) They then tried to point out imaginary defects on the RIGHT-hand shoe in attempt to prove it was "worn" such as a crease here or a scratch there. Nope, I did not cause that. (3) They then treated me like a criminal, harassed me when I continued to explain that the shoe has never been worn, then ignored me as they went to "help" other customers. What a joke of a business. Completely unprofessional. Don't ever shop here -- just look -- try things on -- then buy online or elsewhere. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a skinny guy named Allan Butt. First thing he said to me was "hey I saw you at the food court looking at my shoes" (even though I was never in the food court that night.) He then attempted to sell me his fake Adidas Yeezys that he was wearing on his feet. I tried to brush him off and tell him I was just looking. He made multiple attempts to get my attention. I've been looking for a pair of Nike Roshes and knowing Shoe Palace, they'll probably have every color in stock. Ended up finding a pair of dark gray ones with a black swoosh and white sole. Prior to me trying them on, I had asked one of the associates if they had any stockings/socks I could use because I had flats on. He told me no. So, of course, I looked for a different associate (a lady this time), she found me 5.5 and she said they did have socks. Tried them on. They fit PERFECTLY. Mind you, I was looking for shoes because my mom and dad offered to buy me a pair. So as I'm waiting at the cash register, the guy who told me they didn't have socks, gave me the UGLIEST stink eye and shook his head because my mom was paying for my shoes. Then he had the nerve to ask all these questions like.. "do you at least go to school?".. "do you even have a job?"..
