This is technically more of a review for Andrew A. who was the Red Wing truck salesman at my job in a different town. Great guy, very knowledgeable, very friendly and patient, and nice to talk to. Couldn't have had a better experience. I had to get 2 pairs where the sizing was a bit varied for what I needed and it was super easy. Andrew did a fantastic job. I asked way too many questions and he made it so seamless. Thank you Andrew. read more

Super service. Got great help from store manager Adam and Pamela - great people. Got me what I need pretty quick. Very friendly and helpful. (Yah ... there were some bad reps before but they are gone now). If you have any issue, talk to the manager Adam ... he is very good and will get you what you need. Very knowledgeable and happy to share the shoe specific style and features to you. Also thanks Pamela for being cheerfully patient and helped me to correct a mistake I made. I've had many good years of service from this store, and am glad they have good people service people there now. read more

Just Wingin' It Iconic American brand that has been making work boots since 1905 from their home offices in eponymous Red Wing, MN. The Good: *Their boots almost have no breaking-in period like other brands. They're usually pretty comfortable from the get-go. *Still the best work boots on the market. *Customer service is good but they're severely hamstrung by the companies lack of a good product managment data base--more on that in a minute. The Meh: *Either I'm walking more--which might be the case--or their soles don't last as long as they used to. I wear mine down to the stuffing by about month nice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *Not sure what happened but their computer database used to be reasonably efficient as they could find any boot in any size at any of their hundred of nationwide stores and get it shipped there in usually about a week. Now it's a whole kerfuffle trying to get my shoes ordered and has taken 2-3 months! And this is well-before all these supposed Covid-era "shortages." The Ugly: *Boots are no longer made in the USA™. They're now mostly made in Cambodia, Vietnam and--gasp!--China. -_- Tldr: Still the best boots on the market but obtaining the right one is a hassle. read more

Red Wing - King Toe size 15D--they had to kill an extra cow :( - Shoe Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

Last and final time I stop here.... About a year ago I stopped in for replacement laces the worker had attitude and told me red wings does not provide replacement laces I then called the blossom hill store they provided me with brand new laces .... Then last Monday I bought new boots at blossom hill location and then today I wanted to return them to Oakland rd location and the worker mentioned I bought them at blossom hill location and that their register is not working. It is always a inconvenience with this location red wings regional need to really do a check on this stores location because this is ridiculous read more

This star is not for the redwing stores itself, but for a certain "sales rep"! I was just here to purchase some working boots for my husband. The sales rep was asked why there was a price difference between the 3 boots picked out. He couldn't give me a good reason. All he kept saying was that it's because it's redwing brand. No kidding I'm at a redwing store!! In the past we had zero issues with the sales rep. They have always been very informative. Bad experience today. I will go to a different location to avoid unhelpful sales rep. read more

I love my Red Wings boots, but the customer service at this store is beyond terrible... I've been waiting on an order for 2 months now, with zero communication... After 5 calls and have been bounced around among 'fit specialists', and they claim they cannot track the progress of my order, even with the purchase receipt in hand... Do not purchase from this location, Fairfield's Red Wing store is much more reliable and friendly... read more

Went here to get my ESD Shoes for work. The works here was very helpful by helping me get the she I want with my voucher from work. I only have to pay the difference. read more

I've purchased about 10 pairs of shoes here in the past few years and they've always been very helpful with locating the shoes and sizes for myself and my team. read more

Red Wing Boots that are made in USA are among the finest in the world for off the shelf boots. The lineman boot here is $344 plus tax. A handmade boot by White's or Wesco is $450 plus tax--this is cheap considering the work and materials that go into a handmade boot. You can get a comparable boot from Chippewa for $299 plus tax. Red Wing--you're paying for the name, but they do make an excellent American work boot (not the China made ones). The in store gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and professional. Although I did not buy anything (they were out of my size in Lineman boot), I was very pleased with the shopping experience and the customer service at this location. read more

Horrible service. I bought new boots and had them put the toe cap on and they did such a crappy job. And I clearly told them that I didn't like the way they came out and they did nothing about it.. I will never buy from this store again. So sad. I urge people to not buy from here. If you want mediocre service then continue to buy from here! I would rate this at 0 stars if I could! read more

Red Wing - Chunks of the toe cover - Shoe Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

See all

I was lost and in need of some new boots, I heard all about red wing through some work friends and decided to stop by. First and foremost a MONUMENTAL shout out to Cory, David and Rich. These guys freaking ROCK!!!! (steady~) Upon entering, I was greeted by both David and Cory. Cory was my main man. Answered every single one of my questions and taught me a whole slew of things about boots, boot care and things I should look out for on my boots over time. I got to try on several boots and shoes. I quite frankly fell in LOVE with their heritage line. It's a really well put together line of beautifully designed boots that are stylish, comfortable and great for work. I picked up a set of muleskin rangers, and I absolutely love them. Cory also had me try on some wool socks and they make a huge difference. The place itself is incredibly cozy with comfortable chairs. Cory even gave me a nice beverage while I poked around the shop. Overall; May you need a set of work boots, or even some nice casual wear boots, Cory and his crew will take great care of you. I'm coming back for my next set of boots for sure! read more

Red wing. This store has been my go to store for more than 10 years now. Employees have been really helpful and cordial in the past. I buy my work shoes almost every year there. Today I just felt being ignored purposedly. Been waiting for a while as another customer got helped. When my turn came the sales guy decided to " help " another customer who is already being helped. Would have been nice to have heard " be right with you sir". I decided to leave. Another guy also left the store before me. The store is too busy with that ONE remaining customer. More training on customer service maybe? read more

I went in there looking for new boots and I asked the lady in the front if she had my size and was really rude about it and told me no didn't even bother looking up other stores see if they have it what a shitty sales person read more

We have Red Wing come to our shop every year and outfit everyone with new boots. This guy seems to have lost my Pecos boots that I gave him to send in for resole when he was at our shop in December. The branch mysteriously can't find my boots. I've stopped in and called but nobody returns my call. So here's a negative boot losing review until you get me my boots back. read more

Great Service. Boots were cleaned with new laces, unfortunately there were other services I asked to have done that were not performed. Still a loyal Red Wing customer, the product speaks for itself. read more

The guys in the store are knowledgeable about the brand and helpful with your desired shoe choice. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the limitations to access due to COVID. I understand company policy, but this is my opinion given it was a cold day outside. read more

Stopped in for a pair of Irish setter, Wellington style slip on boots with the soft toe. This was my first pair of slip ons, so a big shout out to Jose (Thank you!) for knowing exactly how to size/fit me for these. So there's a new Manager and his ass won't honor their warranty.. I bought water proof boots and they've produced a hole and cracking in one of them and he said there's nothing I they can do for me.. garbage. Mangers were rude I tried to apply and they belittled me the entire time and made it seem as if my previous job was a joke compared to theirs I worked as a cashier at the 99 cent store and they interrupted me saying this isn't a swipe and go job while I tried to explain the work I did while I worked there I was just cut off from any explanation and laughed at they stressed that the store is luxurious and everything in it is 150+ as if I couldn't comprehend that just because I worked at the 99? read more

Got to this place and almost left because they didnt even have their Open sign on. Found 3 pairs of boots i liked but they didn't any in size 10. The guy working sized me as size 10 but never checked how wide my foot was. Then asked me if id like to try on a size 9 1/2. I left this place and went to the Red wings on Stevens Creek wjere they helped me in my purchase of new boots. read more

**I'm re-writing this since YELP did not seem to think my previous 5 star rating was appropriate, and they felt I did not have first hand experience...YELP why don't you ask the manager of this store and she'll tell you I was there!" Anyways, the following is my Reader's Digest version (the bigger version is on the Red Wing store on Steven's Creek): See my review of the Stevens Creek store in San Jose. I first went to this store before going to the Stevens Creek store. The manager here is just a polite as the person at the Stevens Creek store. read more

Great customer service! The Retail Manager here was supernice to me and to my friends as well. His name is Richard A. Boyer. We have asked him to let us try on all different kinds of shoes. We also came back to the store for 2-4 times for exchanging different styles of shoes.. We all felt bad that we kept changing our minds but Richard really was so patient with us. He always smiled and said to us "No problem. Please come back anytime if you need anything". Thanks a lot for your outstanding service, Richard! read more

Great customer service from telephone inquiry for stock availability to in store purchase. Employee, Scott, was very helpful!

97% of the shoe/boot stock at this outlet are for industrial uses. The store does have a great selection for industrial. As of May 9, 2015, this retail location stocks only 2 - 3 heritage style shoes/boots. Any loyal Red Wings Shoe owner knows the line carries a broader selection. I was not left satisfied with the refurbishment regarding the lifetime warranty of the heritage boots I took in. Leather laces were not replaced by similar kind and the "refurbishment" was poor in my opinion. The shoe polisher at an airport would have left these the boots in better refurbishment. Customer service was good. Sales associates were courteous and attentive. They do have a foot measuring device/computer system that seems accurate and interesting. read more

I don't know what this cashiers problem was. But he was extremely rude to me. I was looking at the shoes and the cashier asked what we are doing. Obviously we are looking to buy some shoes. His attitude and they way he continued to speak to me was extremely unprofessional. To top it off the shoe I was waiting to try on, I never received because he kept helping other people. This actually was one of the worst customer service experiences I ever had. I'm sure this place provides better service. But with this experience, I will not be coming back. As for the product: I wouldn't know since I never was able to try it on. read more

If I could give it a 0 Star I would. Terrible service, Not friendly, and it seems like everything's went down hill since they brought in a new management. You can tell new management does NOT know how to run the store. Selections have dropped, prices have risen and customer service is almost non existent. They will not answer any question or help in any way so unless you enjoy horrible experiences. AVOID THIS STORE. read more

Redwing shoes are what they are so I'm not rating the shoes. The service at the Emeryville location on San Pablo is THE WORST. Due to Covid there is a max capacity of four customers. They kept me waiting outside when they were only two customers in the store. When I came in I realized it was because they have three employees sitting around making it so I could not enter the store. The man who assisted me l, who seemed to be the manager, was rude, dismissive and not helpful. I told him I was hell-bent on buying a pair of shoes at that location that day. I showed him what styles interested me (athletic and slip on) and my size. It seemed like it was a bother for him to go to the back and pull out a pair of shoes for me to try on. Not a single staff member lifted a finger to make suggestions or bring out other options. I was the only one in the store with 3 employees ( 2 sitting on the counter watching me struggle ) to find a shoe for work. He said he did not want to bring out shoes in my size and style unless I asked - meaning he would not bring out a suggestion or a recommendation for me I WALKED OUT. WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! read more

I was attended to by a guy with glasses who seemed to be the only one there and he had a bad attitude as soon as I walked in. As I asked questions he continued to be rude and spoke to me condescendingly; wasn't very enthusiastic about helping customers. I tried using my union discount and he gave me a difficult time so I ended up leaving and not buying my boots. Go to another red wings store if this man is here, WORST customer service EVER. read more

Great service. Stopped by the morning to purchase factory shoes. Had a very pleasant experience shopping here. Thanks guys.

Thank you for helping me glue the buckle back on my shoe. I stopped in during my lunch break and they helped me glue back on in minutes.

I work hard and I beat my work boots up badly. I've tried several brands of work boots and by far these are the most comfortable and longest lasting boots I've come across. David took good care of me. Super easy to work with and I was able to score some awesome shoes that will last. Free replacement shoe laces for life. Free leather treatments to keep the boots in great condition. I won't bother ever trying another pair of boots. Easy 5 star. Highly recommend. And if you happen to be at the Oakland road location, ask for David. He's a pleasure to work with. read more

We had taken back my husband work boots twice to Blossom Hill Rd. The 3rd time my husband insisted we got to this store. I'm glad we did!! They re-measured my husband and he was a size to small. The buying experience was very terrible. The store person (Alex) was very rude. He intentionally made us wait - attending to other new customers and talking over phone most of the time. He did not even pack the shoes in a box that we bought. He was talking in a harsh tone. I will not recommend this store - especially for the service that we got. I don't have any issues with the shoes or collection- its just the service. read more
