Came here for brunch with my family and it's not bad if you want some all day breakfast food. I also like that there is 55 and over menu for the seniors and of course a kid menu. They also have specials during the week so check it out. Our waitress was very nice as well!

Food: ordered the chicken biscuits breakfast and the eggs Benedict breakfast. The chicken biscuits were two chicken and biscuit sandwiches w/ cheese, gravy and more cheese. I'm pretty sure all of it came out of a bag and was reheated, but it was decent tasting and filling. So filling that I could only eat one and finish the whole other breakfast it came with: 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and hash browns. As for the eggs benny, it came w/ 2 eggs, and 2 thick slices of ham and hash browns. Also very filling. So filling that we had to get the pies to go. The pies are what Perkins is known for. The chocolate silk pie is their signature, but it's sweet enough that you don't need to add sugar to your coffee. The caramel apple pie is as good as it sounds. Service: friendly and efficient. Ambiance: clean and quiet. Good place for conversation. Price: the price is reasonable considering how much food you get and in comparison to what you get at similar restaurants. 3 stars plus 1 star for the pies.

*Strawberry Croissant French Toast Platter* Menu clearly states "glazed strawberries" and picture shows strawberries...

A bit disappointed. Tried something new from their menu today because I wanted something fruity. Ordered the Strawberry Croissant French Toast Platter. Service was good but I was so turned off because the menu clearly states "sweet glazed STRAWBERRIES" and all I got was strawberry jam. How are you going to advertise something "new" and not live up to it? Taste was okay. It was like an adult toaster strudel.. Spoke to the server and she said it doesn't come with strawberries. She then said she can get us the menu if we wanted something else.. she also mentioned that a lot of customers have been complaining.. she was very defensive and kept interrupting us when all we wanted to say was that the menus clearly stated and showed a picture of strawberries on the French toast. Also, if there weren't any strawberries and you've been receiving many complaints about that dish then why didn't you mention to us that there are no strawberries ?

A nice establishment, when we entered we were quickly seated in a big booth, and given menus. Our drinks were ordered in under five minutes, and the relax environment was pleasant with chatter and radio music. The decor is a little underwhelming and bland for my taste, it's a bit like an old old restaurant. Our group didn't really appreciate a staff member, Tony, for talking right above our heads loudly to another staff member about tables and yelling across the restaurant, it was a bit uncomfortable. We had ordered our meals and it took a little while for a slice of lemon meringue pie and strawberry cream cheese crispers, even with a half full restaurant. If you're interested in a moist lemon merengue pie, I would recommend going to this establishment. The pie seemed like it was sprayed with water or something before coming out to the customer, even when we saw it at the front on display. It isn't as satisfying as ones that are store bought, or has a good jello-like consistency. Additionally, the crust is hard, and when you finally break into it it flakes everywhere. The crispers were below par, having the cream cheese melted and causing the flaky pastry to be soggy. Overall a mediocre experience and I'd come again maybe for a different meal and hopefully a different experience.

We were greeted and seated quickly and our server Cass was excellent and very attentive in explaining the special and taking our drink order. She came by several times to check up and I appreciate the care. Those soup dumplings arrived and they're still just as much as a knock out as they usually are. Full of flavour, with a kick of spice, I really enjoyed them. The half priced wings were also worth it with a side of fries. I chose the classic buffalo which were spicy in all the right ways. The wings are smaller compared to other Wing places but they compensate by giving more. The fries were truly delicious, crispy and well seasoned. I really enjoyed the fries and typically get them with every meal. My only issue is that the bathrooms require some upkeep and maintenance as there are several pieces that require repair. I don't think the toilet paper holder should be held together by painter's tape. Overall I've been here many times and will come back many times.

I was so thirsty that by the time I chugged 1/3 of my beer, I realized that she had brought a wrong beer. I decided to let it go and just drank the rest. The food did not fare much better as my daughter's pizza flatbread did not taste like it did last time. Maybe a different chef was cooking tonight? My royal Bangkok bowl was tiny in size and all the noodles were broken into small pieces which made it unappetizing. The sauce on it was too sweet and eggy for my taste and I won't be ordering it again. My husband's burger was the best pick of the night. All this for $96 made for a pretty ho hum experience. Next time, I will take a sip of my beer first so I don't get stuck drinking something I did not order.

I was in the eastern end of Scarborough, close to Pickering. I first thought of having breakfast for lunch. I would only have 45 minutes to enjoy my food at the nearest breakfast joint. I felt like a steak. I did a search for Chuck's Roadhouse and this one in Pickering was close by. I drove over there, which took roughly nine minutes. It's located in a small plaza. I managed to find a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. I backed my car into the spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman. She asked me whether I wanted to sit at the bar or the dining area. I went with the latter. I got a menu. I visit Chuck's regularly that I have my usual order. I got the following items: - Diet Coke - Sirloin and lobster tail meal with mashed potatoes and gravy I upgraded my fries. I got mashed potatoes with gravy instead. I asked for a medium doneness for my steak. I placed my order with Domnica, who was extremely attentive and friendly. I needed to use the washroom. I headed over there, dodging two male servers who were kind to get out of the way. My bladder needed attention after three hours of hydration. The women's washroom was clean. There were three stalls. The one that I used was clean. The lock didn't lock properly, but it was good enough to not let anyone in. I got back to my booth and my Diet Coke was on the table. It was cold, fizzy, and delicious. I ended up having a couple of refills during my time here. It was great that I had a huge screen with four different sports happening. I saw the Colorado Avalanche crush the Detroit Red Wings. The Winnipeg Jets pre-game show was on after a women's tennis match. I watched women's curling from Mississauga. There was Formula 1 racing that I had to ignore because any sport on an ice surface interests me a lot more these days. My server put bottles of Chuck's steak sauce and Heinz ketchup on my table. I didn't use any of them, but was glad that I had options. It didn't take long for my meal to arrive. It looked so good. I was so hungry that I went into devour mode. My steak was excellent. It was seasoned nicely and cooked as I liked it to be. So good! The lobster tail was succulent. The clarified butter was excellent with the lobster tail morsels. Frankly, I ended up dunking everything into the butter. My mashed potatoes were so comforting. I usually pour the gravy over the mashed potatoes. I did the reverse. It was enjoyable dunking mashed potatoes into the flavourful gravy. I also dunked sirloin cubs into the gravy. Yum! The corn was yummy. I'm so glad that it's no longer corn on the cob. It's so much easier shovelling kernels of yumminess into my mouth. My server asked if I wanted anything else. I was stuffed. I got the bill. I paid with a credit card. I held my phone to the payment machine after specifying a tip. Done! I stayed a bit longer to finish my Diet Coke while watching the Jets pre-game show. I then used the washroom before heading out. The scary part was walking into the washroom with three loud women speaking Vietnamese to one another. The oldest woman did not lock her stall properly, so I saw more than I had wanted. What I don't get is that these two woman walked the third woman over to the washroom. They stood in front of the sink. Shouldn't they have noticed that the door was wide open? They were loud talking to one another after this incident. Personally, I would have been mortified if someone had seen me partially naked in a public washroom. I came out of the stall to wash my hands. The two women were staring at me. I stared right back with my you-didn't-help-your-friend-and-I-need-therapy-now stare. They stopped looking at me. So weird. Other than seeing a half-naked woman, I had a great lunch here. (53)

My steak looked great but was cooked much closer to well done than my preferred medium rare. It was tough so I had to have it re-fired. The second one, unfortunately, was closer to blue, with the center being very rare. I ate most of it, not wanting to wait for any longer. Our server was really good, friendly and courteous. The second is from 9 pm till close. - If you are tall, be careful standing up at your booth and hitting your head on a hanging lamp. After running errands last Saturday, I was ready for lunch. I remembered seeing this Moxie's near Pickle Barrel the last time I was at The Shops at Pickering City Centre (formerly Pickering Town Centre). Moxie's has better happy hour hours than Pickle Barrel. I'd make it to the former for the 2 pm till 5 pm period. It didn't take long for me to drive from eastern Markham to this shopping mall. It's a bit crazy to weave through it, but I got a decent parking spot fairly close to the eatery's entrance. It was raining, so I walked in wearing a hoodie, armed with an umbrella. I was promptly seated at a comfy booth. I was near the washrooms, although I didn't see a sign saying that it was the path to them. Weird. Folks walking in and out of the corridor tipped me off. Daelynn was my server. It was busy at this eatery at around 2:30 pm. She was nice. I do like happy hour menus these days. You can save a bit, which I appreciate. I started with these items: - Diet Coke - Absolut sippin' soda with bellini - Steak frites My boozy bellini soda came to me first. It's basically a slushy bellini soda with Absolut vodka. For $6, it was enjoyable. However, the bellini peachy flavour was subtle. I would have preferred a more bold, juicy peach taste. I got a Diet Coke. It was fizzy and cold. Sadly, it took forever to get a refill from my server. A friendly bartender who happened to walk by to pick up my empty glass offered to fill it up a couple of times. Yay! My steak frites came out. It was so good. It was regularly $38. The happy hour price made it $27. Such a steal these days! I got my steak medium. It had the best chimichurri on top. The steak was perfectly done. Yummy! I got an arugula salad as a side that was unexpected. I tore through it. It was fresh and delicious. I ended up dabbing bites of my salad into the chimichurri. Even my fries went into it. My fries were crispy. It came with ketchup. They were fine, but I loved the arugula salad more. I got dessert. I went with a key lime pie without any whipped cream. It arrived as specified. I love key lime pie. It was tart and yummy. The crust was perfect. It wasn't dry. It wasn't full of moisture. It was perfect. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped. Done! I used the washroom before I left. It was clean and nicely maintained. No issues. If you are tall, you may want to take care getting up from your booth if there's a hanging lamp. I didn't and hit my head on the one above my booth. Luckily, I didn't hit my head on it hard. I'd returned again for more good eats and drinks. Maybe I should try happy hour during the weekday, as it probably won't be as hectic. (174)

I wish the host would give us a choice of air conditioning dining or al fresco dining. The covered patio was very humid and noisy. I would've appreciated if the host asked us if we were celebrating any occasion today. A private booth would have been more intimate for the occasion. We had to move the table because there was no room to sit down. We ordered 2 Moxies signature dishes. The Chipotle mango chicken $31.75 and the Mushroom Sirloin. Both dishes were executed and presented well. The chicken breast had nice charred marks along with delicious ancient grains rice, grilled veggies and avocado pico de gallo. The complexity of flavours and textures made this dish a standout. I highly recommend this main. The mushroom sirloin was a masterpiece. The mushroom madeira sauce complimented the thick piece of sirloin broiled to perfection at medium rare. The mash potatoes were creamy and the seasonal veggies were again delicious. We order 2 Mexican Bulldogs which are margaritas with a Coronita put upside down in the margarita bowl glass. Nice salted rim and limes to garnish. One critique I would say is that I wish the margarita was more frozen and less watery. We ordered the dry ribs for our appetizer. The ribs had a nice light crispy batter. My wife loved the ribs. Aside from the initial issues we enjoyed the food and will definitely come back for the culinary experience. The server was kind and polite. She checked on us to ensure we enjoyed the food. We did have to remind her to bring us appetizer plates for the dry ribs. Just some minor tweaks in service and the experience would be 5 stars.
