We ordered Angus burger with fries $12.99 and Chicken lettuce wraps $11.99. The burger was thick and juicy. Great tasting burger with nice grilled taste. The fries portion was too small. Perhaps cost cutting since it was in the happ hour menu. The chicken lettuce wraps were top notch excellent flavor profile. I can taste the hoisin sauce and mixture of fried onion rings, peppers, and onions. Great dish, only wish they gave more lettuce. The beers are cheap here however when the server offerred us an upgrade to Devil sized draughts for $1 we were sold on it. Unfortunately, when the bill came we were charged $6.99 per 24oz pint instead of $5. My wife didn't want to complain and paid the bill. This left a bad taste in our mouth no pun intended. Please do not mislead customers on drink upgrades or ensure the accuracy of the order. Overall, the happy hour menu is decent. We will try the $4 sliders, cheesy honey buns, and pickle coins next time. Beware of food and beverage upgrades and check your bill before paying. I hope the service and food portions improve next time. It will be a while before I come back! This was our most recent visit to St Louis bar & grill. It's been a while since I've been to St Louis Bar & Grill in Pickering. Wing Night, every Tuesday…read moreis as good an excuse as any to visit for half price wings (with purchase of a beverage). I ordered my usual Lemon Pepper dry rubbed wings, with fries. It was a good portion, with crispy fries but the wings appeared really dark and a bit burnt. Maybe stale oil? It was hard for me to tell since my tastebuds are still compromised. I'll have to try again when I'm better.

Chuck's Roadhouse Pickering

Tip: The sirloin and lobster tail meal for $25 is a great deal…read more After completing a bunch of errands on Saturday, I was ready for lunch. I was in the eastern end of Scarborough, close to Pickering. I first thought of having breakfast for lunch. I would only have 45 minutes to enjoy my food at the nearest breakfast joint. I felt like a steak. I did a search for Chuck's Roadhouse and this one in Pickering was close by. I drove over there, which took roughly nine minutes. It's located in a small plaza. I managed to find a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. I backed my car into the spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman. She asked me whether I wanted to sit at the bar or the dining area. I went with the latter. I got a menu. I visit Chuck's regularly that I have my usual order. I got the following items: - Diet Coke - Sirloin and lobster tail meal with mashed potatoes and gravy I upgraded my fries. I got mashed potatoes with gravy instead. I asked for a medium doneness for my steak. I placed my order with Domnica, who was extremely attentive and friendly. I needed to use the washroom. I headed over there, dodging two male servers who were kind to get out of the way. My bladder needed attention after three hours of hydration. The women's washroom was clean. There were three stalls. The one that I used was clean. The lock didn't lock properly, but it was good enough to not let anyone in. I got back to my booth and my Diet Coke was on the table. It was cold, fizzy, and delicious. I ended up having a couple of refills during my time here. It was great that I had a huge screen with four different sports happening. I saw the Colorado Avalanche crush the Detroit Red Wings. The Winnipeg Jets pre-game show was on after a women's tennis match. I watched women's curling from Mississauga. There was Formula 1 racing that I had to ignore because any sport on an ice surface interests me a lot more these days. My server put bottles of Chuck's steak sauce and Heinz ketchup on my table. I didn't use any of them, but was glad that I had options. It didn't take long for my meal to arrive. It looked so good. I was so hungry that I went into devour mode. My steak was excellent. It was seasoned nicely and cooked as I liked it to be. So good! The lobster tail was succulent. The clarified butter was excellent with the lobster tail morsels. Frankly, I ended up dunking everything into the butter. My mashed potatoes were so comforting. I usually pour the gravy over the mashed potatoes. I did the reverse. It was enjoyable dunking mashed potatoes into the flavourful gravy. I also dunked sirloin cubs into the gravy. Yum! The corn was yummy. I'm so glad that it's no longer corn on the cob. It's so much easier shovelling kernels of yumminess into my mouth. My server asked if I wanted anything else. I was stuffed. I got the bill. I paid with a credit card. I held my phone to the payment machine after specifying a tip. Done! I stayed a bit longer to finish my Diet Coke while watching the Jets pre-game show. I then used the washroom before heading out. The scary part was walking into the washroom with three loud women speaking Vietnamese to one another. The oldest woman did not lock her stall properly, so I saw more than I had wanted. What I don't get is that these two woman walked the third woman over to the washroom. They stood in front of the sink. Shouldn't they have noticed that the door was wide open? They were loud talking to one another after this incident. Personally, I would have been mortified if someone had seen me partially naked in a public washroom. I came out of the stall to wash my hands. The two women were staring at me. I stared right back with my you-didn't-help-your-friend-and-I-need-therapy-now stare. They stopped looking at me. So weird. Other than seeing a half-naked woman, I had a great lunch here. (53)

On this visit, my aunt and uncle both ordered the Top Sirloin & Lobster Tail ($25) and I had the Porterhouse ($29.99). The steak and lobster meals were good and they both enjoyed it but the kitchen missed the request for sweet potato fries on one order. My steak looked great but was cooked much closer to well done than my preferred medium rare. It was tough so I had to have it re-fired. The second one, unfortunately, was closer to blue, with the center being very rare. I ate most of it, not wanting to wait for any longer. Our server was really good, friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, I missed getting his name.

Mad Dawgs has replaced the former Bollocks (I was so sad when it closed), and I'm pleased to see…read moresome of the same staff back in the new incarnation! Mad Dawgs features many of the same menu items, a similar vibe, and the same really cold, fresh beers and ciders. This is a typical neighborhood pub, with the classic and expected atmosphere. So, while some might think that it lacks ambience, in my view, its just what you expect: homey, casual, cozy, and the server actually remembered what my friend and I used to order at Bollocks! Today, we were just there for drinks, but if you liked Bollocks, then you will be quite at home at Mad Dawgs! I asked our familiar server about changes, and she spoke about some new wing sauces and dry rubs, and some upcoming changes to the menu. Apparently, they now serve brunch!. They still have my favourite buffalo wings, finished on the grill for that smoky flavour. They also still have the Edamame, which my friend and I like to order when we come here. The menu has pub classics, such as fish and chips, burgers, chicken tenders and steak frites. The dizzying variety of Mac and Cheese is new, and very tempting, all made with cavatappi pasta, which I prefer to the typical macaroni. The Nachos are also quite intriguing. Apparently, much of the Bollocks Kitchen Staff has returned, and they have an excellent scratch kitchen, which you wouldn't necessarily expect given the simple, pub-style atmosphere. It's great to see Mad Dawgs staying true to some of the former Bollocks foods, drinks and ambience, while also adding some intriguing new menu items and brunch! I wish them all the best, and I will visit often!

Your first order is 6 wings after that you get 4 and it's annoying waiting between orders. It's what you expect from a Bar...greasy fries, old washrooms, and a big TV over the bar. A decent spot, but not worth getting excited over. Beware though..it's not free refills. I paid over 9$ for name brand coke.... Overall 2 of 5

I had seen tons of signs around the local area promoting the "all you can eat wings."…read moreI thought it was a great concept, I just never took the time to go check it out. One night the guys from work and I decided we would go for a beer & wings. $13 for the all you can eat wings, and we split a pitcher. You pick your sauce and you start with 6 wings...........then slowly......... yep........ slowly they bring you refills of 4. They make you wait. No doubt part of the strategy, I assume they hope you get full waiting. Perhaps they think it will reduce waste. During our visit we got full while waiting and two us wasted 3 of the 4 wings each. I think this is such a stupid practice. (A) I'd never suggest anyone check it out! So no good word of mouth coming from me (or anyone in my group). (B) I'd certainly not rush to go back here, not now, possibly not ever. During our visit I asked the lady if we could double our order, I let her know I'd eat over 10 wings easily. I was told, "no, other people are waiting." Like you cant drop more in the fryer ? The kicker, the place had two other tables of apx 3 people per table. So 9 people including my group. But again, this is what they make you do. Slow service hoping you get full. I guess they want your $13 and no repeat business. Bar is dated and old looking, as I would suspect. Bathrooms were AWFUL. To be fair I should add, the wings were decent in size. The sauces are just your local grocery store sauces. The wings are all cooked the same, then sauced in your pick. We tried the HOT - it was dusted with some odd spice, not good. The Bufalo wings we ok. The sweet chili reminds me of the PC sauce I buy from no frills, and the parm/garlic were decent. All in all I would not go back. The expericne does not warrant another visit. The way in which they serve the customers is just off putting.
