The Andover location is hands down THE best place in the area to get a coffee - hot or iced. Best breakfast sandwiches whether on a bagel or in a wrap. Just now offering sandwiches on english muffins. Awesome! Variety of their cream cheeses change often which is wonderful if you like to try new things (don't worry - the standard ones are always there). Are you an iced coffee connoisseur - you'll LOVE this place - they have over 20 (maybe over 30) different flavors everyday. I always get exceptional service whenever I go here. Today I asked for a foccacia bagel, even though the basket was clearly empty, and my sandwich maker kindly put a whole batch in for me. The foccacia bagel was delicious, with the right amount of crunchy cheese on top and captured in the bagel hole. Their wide ice coffee selection is delicious any time of the year. I'm sure their hot coffee is good, too, but if only ever had ice coffee here, so I can't really say. The muffins and pastries are cute, too, and very yummy. 3rd try was not the charm at Perfecto's. Breakfast sandwiches contain artificial eggs that likely come out of a carton. The kind you might find in a large tray at low end hotel buffets. The buffalo chicken wrap had ONE puny strip of chicken, hardly any sauce, and a whole lot of shredded lettuce. I wish I had thought to take a picture. One breakfast sandwich, buffalo chicken wrap, med coffee and a small Gatorade came to about $21... certainly not a great value. Coffee is basically Starbucks-level pricing. The staff looks like they don't enjoy their job and they try to rush you through the line so you can pay ASAP. read more

If you combined all the best bagels from your entire life then made one super indestructible giant hot fresh tasty bagel, you'd have perfecto's. Seriously folks, the bagels here are ridiculous. As in ridiculously fresh, tasty, and just damn GOOD. Not only do they offer the usual faire of bagel flavors (LOADED with ingredients - seriously, saying "everything" bagel is an understatement here), but they offer two of the best unique bagels I've ever had. Those would be the french toast bagel, and the asiago cheese bagel. Just remember, going to Perfecto's and having a bagel is like eating an entire meal - the bagels are HUGE - and not for the carb-faint-at-heart. The asiago cheese bagel is my favorite, covered in a salty yet aged cheese, and a little bit of cracked pepper...pair that with awesome awesome creamy cream cheese and I'm happy as a clam, with a bagel inside. Everything here is pretty much made in house, which is to say, you have to have some damn good self-control to not eat your bagel before you even get out of the place. read more

The muffins at this place are absolutely to die for! Have almost always had the bagels or sandwiches perfectly made. I personally am not a fan of the coffee, every time I have ordered one it has basically just been brown water. The other thing that holds me back from giving 5 stars is the staff (who is different almost every week it seems) is never very friendly. Coffee and Coffee-based frozen drinks here are the best of the best. The egg breakfast wraps are giant, not too expensive, and tasty! I had a sausage egg and cheese wheat wrap, and it was incredible. About two to three times as much egg and sausage and cheese as Dunkin Donuts would put on a sandwich, and not much more expensive. Stopped in this weekend, as it was convenient on my walk to the grocery store. I had not visited in a while, and it took me a little while to realize that the flavors of coffee were listed up on the (new)TV screen - The list of coffee flavors was crazy. I think I saw cake batter, banana bread, just to name a couple... To be honest, I don't remember exactly what I ordered... I think it was Hawaiian with cinnamon something... regardless - it was awesome!!! Such fresh brewed, bold, and flavorful coffee. I haven't been so "wowed" by a cup of coffee in a long long time. I. Love. Perfectos. Maybe I'm biased because I grew up with it, but the coffee and baked goods here are unbeatable. Every year I come home (I live in California now) for the holidays and have to stop by and get a box of muffins - highly recommend the blueberry, raspberry choc chunk, cinnamon chip, and the gingerbread. So incredible. The snickerdoodle cookies are also amazing. Also, as I recall, they have delicious wraps. I used to get the sweet onion chicken wrap all the time and would definitely recommend it for lunch if you're passing through the area! We go daily. If the service was faster it'd be 5 stars. The coffee is fantastic and there are a lot of flavors to choose from. It's the best coffee around or at least comparable to Heavenly Donuts. Perfecto's system is flawed and makes it very slow to get coffee...or food for that matter. They seem to keep 5 flavors up front and if your flavor isn't up there then they have to go in the back to look for it. It takes forever. Heavenly Donuts seems to have same amount of flavors yet they find your flavor chose much faster. They seem fully staffed BUT it's very slow or impossible to get food including an 'as is bagels'. There are 2 lines. 1 for food, 1 for coffee but if you've never been there before you wouldn't know that. You feel like you're cutting the food people. When you want food and coffee you start in the food line then merge into the coffee line. If you only have 10 minutes to spare you have to skip the food line, so no food for you and head to the coffee line and hope they get it to you in 10. It's a not. 5 min stop for even just coffee. This is true even when it's not busy. How do they have so many people working but the service is slo slow?? Well, my husband loves the coffee drink and it's nearby so this is the daily bother he goes through. read more

I've always loved Perfecto's coffee since high school. They offer endless flavors and my beverage is made perfectly every time. It's out of my way but I always make the trip here when I can. Usually I get the caramel chai iced latte which is amazing but my new found love is the iced Red Eye. Tastes wayyyy better than the Starbucks one and the iced coffee with a turbo shot at DD. Growing up in Andover, Perfectos used to be such a treat. Coffee was good and got me through the day, and I loved the food. Those damn chocolate chip muffins... Holy Christ are they good. Over the years, I've come to recognize the bagel sandwiches as just alright, and the coffee as well. The muffins still rule but here's the real problem: the staff. They are rude. Rude as hell. No smiles, no hello. They've got my order wrong the past two times I've gone. It's such a shame. I remember Perfectos as such a friendly and welcoming place as a kid. They knew my mom by name and asked her how she was. It was a community place. Now it's just rude kids making customers feel uncomfortable. Perfecto's is a bit of an enigma. On the one hand, their baked goods are pretty darn good. Their flavored coffees are definitely a nice change of pace from the typical cup of joe. On the other hand the line in the store and the service can often times be less than stellar. I'm a big cookie guy, & I definitely liked the cookies here, no question. Chocolate chip, excellent! I waited until I went to this place a dozen or so times. The bagels are good. No doubt. But I echo the sentiments of several others when I say that the manager has to deal with the staff. Every time I have gone to the Andover Perfecto's, either I was treated rudely or I witnessed another customer treated rudely. Today, I watched a young lady literally throw a bag of bagels at a customer who had to grab it before the bagels spilled out. It has gotten to a point where I really have to want a bagel badly enough to risk the staff there. Acknowledging customers, saying thank you, and other expected exchanges are rare at this cafe. Barista and woman on register this Saturday morning clearly didn't want to be there. They gave me a small when I ordered and paid for a large drink and forgot to give me my pastry. What really angers me is instead of making a new large drink she definitely filled a large cup with ice and poured the small in it. It was ready too fast and I know she didn't make a new one. I have been going to Perfectos for the twenty years they have been open. The coffee is great, the bagels and muffins outstanding. I have to bring them to NYC when I visit family. His staff is kind and attentive. A comment about the 9/16/ posting, that person has the WRONG coffee shop. He is talking about the one on the corner of Punchard and Main, not Perfecto's across from the police and fire station. If one is going to zing an establishment, do it to the correct one please. i don't get to go here often, but if you like soft, chewy bagels (which i do) and friendly employees, then perfecto's is the place to go. the bagels are also loaded with toppings - i don't know how they fit so many sesame seeds onto one bagel! they are also happy to accommodate any sorts of weird requests and bagel variations without over-charging customers. the other pastries, including muffins, cookies, and gingerbread are all fantastic, and they have a large variety of coffees and teas. the sandwiches and salads are also very good. read more

I cannot complain about the food at all. But there are a few things that could use improvements. Parking lot--they can't do anything about this but it can be a pain in the neck. New tables--the dark tables that they use show EVERYTHING!! You can see every crumb from the other guests and I think that is a bad look, at least a lighter colored table might hide more. Drink prices--It seems that the drinks in the cooler are all the same price which seems wrong because they range from large juices to extremely small chocolate milks. I think each drink should be fairly priced. read more
