Today we drove over because I didn't feel like walking home in flip flops in the cold. :-) The shop is beautiful and spacious with an upscale feel. There are sections for manicures, and pedicures, and private rooms for facials. We chose the basic pedi, and received the 20% off January special. We received complimentary hot tea after we were seated in the gorgeous and comfortable brown leather armchairs. A novel aspect of this shop are the naturally antibacterial copper foot basins, used in Europe to promote a healthy immune system. Our services were performed by two of the owners, Orasa and Amanda. Our visit here was flawless and we will definitely return for more services. This is a lovely addition to the neighborhood.

She told me initially that she would not have time to paint my finger nails 3 different colors. I wanted them black with 2 red and the right and 2 pink on the left. I was a little snappy and told her i could just paint my own nails at home if she could just remove the nails. She ended up painting them for me, and did a great job. The pedicure was not great. I didn't need a polish change. So she did like scrubbing if you could even call it that like 1,2,3,4,5,6 movements and done. She also took two 15 minute breaks where she just turned away from me and dazed off into a computer screen. Not even scrolling. She appeared to just be studying the schedule without ever changing the screen. I probably would not have noticed except for her being very clear about not having time to paint my nails in multiple colors. I just moved to the LC which is literally next-door, so I was excited about finding a new permanent nail salon close by. I will not be back here. I doubt it matters since they are very busy.

Then I got a call from the salon letting me know an appointment for 30 mins later had cancelled and they could fit me in!!! This was not only good luck, but a sign of great customer service! They were very attentive to get me started with removing old polish while waiting for my technician to finish with her previous client. The stylist started out combing my hair completely to the wrong side/part until I corrected them. That was another giveaway--not even asking the client or observing the part as it's normally worn. The haircut itself was pretty uneventful, but uneven. I was left with some strands longer than others. Some pros are the nice staff and ease of online reservations. They weren't very busy when I was there and the staff members were loitering; I felt on display as the only client in their salon at the time. The pedicure stations looked nice, as does their spa services, but I'd skip the haircut.
