This is the ONLY place I go for my alterations. It's clean, convenient (located on the West side of the San Tan Mall), friendly -- and most importantly, they always do quality work. They've tailored several bridesmaids dresses for me, along with some other less important articles of clothing and everything they've worked on has always fit perfectly! The only reason for the 4/5 stars is price. This place charges more than most other places around the area but I believe that you get what you pay for! They're open daily 10am-6pm, closed Sundays. Cash or check only. Be prepared to wait a while if you come at a busy time -- they have 2 dressing rooms which can fill up fast! read more

I had my dress altered here for my son's wedding. They messed it up by taking it up too much and said there's nothing they can do about it...they said they never mess up. Never say never. Not happy! read more

I have used Perfect Fit a few times in the past and found them to be expensive but competent. Given their location at San Tan, I was able to look past their high rates since I figured they pay a hefty rent. After my last alteration, however, I will never use them again. I brought in a beautiful white cocktail dress that needed be taken in in a couple places. They charged me $65 which was much more than I expected, but I agreed to pay since I got the dress cheap at Last Chance. When I picked up the dress, I tried it on and noticed a black mark towards the bottom on the back. It was a very obvious mark so I know that mark didn't exist when I brought it in. I pointed it out, and the owner started using spot remover to take it out. She asked me to come back the next day so she could have more time with it. She called me the next afternoon to tell me the dress was still dirty and needed to be taken to the dry cleaners. She said, "The dress is really dusty. It probably was sitting at Last Chance for a long time." I was very annoyed, but I was in a time crunch and didn't feel like arguing. When I picked up the dress, the owner wasn't there. The black mark was gone, but the area around it was pilled from all the rubbing she did with the spot remover. The dry cleaners managed to remove the water stain left from the spot remover, but the pilling is permanent and ruined my dress. read more

I'll be the first male to write a review of this place. And yes they do alterations for male suits as well. At first, I saw the previous reviews and thought maybe this place only fixed up wedding gowns. So not true. Anyways, I do agree with the previous reviews saying that this place is legit. The two ladies who work there are very friendly and helped me get fitted into my new suit for an interview. The turn around time was a week and the price was moderate-to high (around $70) I had to alter my jacket, waist on the pants and the pants length. But the work they did was great. I have no complaints and the suit looks great and I feel great in it. Maybe you could find a cheaper place for alterations, but I'd rather go with a sure bet if you want it done right. I think they only take cash or check if I am not mistaken. No credit cards read more

You have to come here if you want the job done right! My wedding dress alterations cost $160 (what ISN'T expensive in the wedding world?) But the cost reflects the high level of quality that is provided here. She took in the bust, added a bustle, and fixed the beading on the dress for visit #1. Visit #2 actually was my idea because I wasn't 100% happy with the back of the dress; she did exactly what I asked and had it ready to pick up the next day and didnt even charge me anything extra... Then. I had to come back, unfortunately, again. The cleaners I used to press the dress actually ruined the bustle she had created, so visit #3 included her fixing the bustle THE WEEK OF my wedding for no additional cost (again!) and she got it done the next day, which was so awesome because if you've ever gotten married, you know what Wedding Week stress is like and she helped decrease it so much. I imagine her cash/check policy is to help keep down her overhead because she owns the shop herself and runs it with only a small staff (I am pretty sure I met them all between all my visits, and there's only around 3 people or so.) She is a life saver and runs a business built on quality, which is so important in these times of corporations-cutting-corners. 5 stars. read more

I came here over the weekend with a loveseat cushion that had its zipper split and needed fixing. My loveseat is the only thing that serves as a 'couch' in my wee-tiny little house so I was a bit worried about being without the seat cushion for several days as it was being repaired, but my fear was unfounded as the friendly seamstress had it fixed and back in my hands for the super fair price of $10 in less than a hour and a half! I was very pleased indeed and now that I know this shop is here I may have to bring in some of my ill fitting clothing for some professional adjustments. read more

Wife doesn't know I'm leaving this and I stayed out of the transaction. She bought a bridesmaid dress online as per the brides instructions for $130. Because it was bought online it needed some alterations. The bill came to $130 which just about floored me. She took it to perfect fit right after receiving it, tried it on and payed to bill.....cash or check only. When she picked it up there was a 1/8 inch hole in the front right over her heart. Knowing my wife and how particular she is this hole would have been noticed at home after her inspection or at the initial fitting. We think the most obvious place this damaged would have occurred was where they had sharp objects near the dress. No compensations were made and she's stuck with a $260 dress with a hole on the front for her sisters special day. read more

Always very happy with her work. She has altered a number of my swimsuits and bras they look amazing cannot tell that they've ever been altered read more

I have taken several dresses, pants, tops and decorative toss pillows to Perfect Fit Alterations. My husband and son have taken clothing to her also. I absolutely love this place and the owner. She is always very honest and I love that. She tailors my clothing to fit me like a glove, and I have taken a lot of clothes. I highly recommend her, she pays attention to your style. read more

This is hands down amazing! I have many jeans that no longer fit. I don't want to get rid of them, so I checked this place out. It cost $35 to have them altered to fit. Wesson (I hope I am spelling that correctly) is wonderful! She is very nice and an expert at alterations. The finished product did not even look like they were altered. They looked new! She doesn't only take in the waist. These were 100% denim jeans. So far she has worked on 5 pairs of jeans. Then I had a vintage western shirt that was too baggy. She took in the sides and the arms, again, finished product looked like a store bought product. Wesson takes my odd requests without any hesitations. Adding a snap to swim trunks, taking in the waist with swim trunks. I am moving to Cave Creek from Gilbert soon, and I will continue to have her work on all of my alteration needs, she is totally worth the drive! read more

I had a last minute alteration to a bridesmaid dress and found this place - it's actually hard to find! It's in the San Tan Village Mall, by Paradise Bakery. The seamstress was very accommodating and was able to finish my dress in less than a week - the results were perfect! I paid $35 to take in the entire dress, which I figured was reasonable. They only take CASH or CHECK - so come prepared! read more

Terrible experience. Owner was extremely rude. Prices way too high and service was awful. Wait times more then a week just to get a pair of pants hemmed. Do yourself a favor. - Avoid this business !!! read more

Didn't even choose their service because the lady's attitude is awful. She's very rude, and they're prices are ridiculously high. I walked in and walked out within 5 minutes of trying to deal with her. I highly recommend going somewhere else. I wish I would have read her reviews before coming. read more

I have used Perfect Fit sevearl times and they are amazing. The ladies are always friendly and do an amazing job. They get everything done with in a week and the prices are reasonable for such great work! I had an emergancy and needed to pick up an item prior to my set date and when I called she was able to get it done for me! THANK YOU! I will always use them! cash or check only... read more

My experience at this store was one of the worst customer service ever. I brought in a new outfit to be altered and that was a pleasant encounter. I went to pick it up, arrived 40 minutes before the store opened, and could see two women sewing. This was at 1000 am. I knocked on the door and one of the women flung the door open and told me that they weren't open. I could see my outfit, that was already paid for in full, and very politely asked if I could have it since I live a distance from the store. She adamantly said "no" and slammed the door. I went back the next day and she told me that I was the rudest customer, which I was not, that she had ever had. I just asked her for my outfit and left. It was a very uncomfortable situation and I would never recommend them to anyone. It looks like I am not alone. I have never written a negative review of a business and hope never to have to again. read more

I'd give a zero star if I could. Today I went with my cousin to assist her with the kids while she picked up a dress she had altered. (in And out visit. Service already paid for). As soon as we Get inside the woman firmly said "this isn't a daycare". I then said we know this isn't we are here to pick something up that's been paid for. My cousin then goes into the fitting room to try her dress on and our children are perfectly and calmly sitting in the chairs (as a mom I'd be the first to know if the kids were misbehaving). I hand the baby a little pretzel to keep him busy and the woman then yelled at me and said we couldn't be in there. Asked me if I would be the one to pick up if they made a mess even though there wasn't a single crumb on the ground. She told me she didn't raise her children this way and I asked her what she was talking about and she said "these are monsters. You are the kind of mother who takes your children to Walmart and let's them ruin the shelves". I was absolutely beside myself!!! i confirmed she was the owner. this woman doesn't deserve a single penny nor to be in business. I left shaking and felt horrible after she abused me, stereotyped me and name called our children right in front of them. my cousin a minute later came out of the store in tears because she heard everything the horrible woman said. never in my life have I experienced not just horrible customer service But personality that's mind Blowing SCARY. read more

extrly rude service wouldnt let me talk and told me the wrong times to come get my dress altered stay far away

Run as far away as you possibly can from this place. The owner is the most nasty woman I have ever had interaction with in my entire life. Last week I went to pick up my dress, my cousin came with me to sit with my kids while I tried my dress on. After a couple of snide remarks from the owner about her place not being a daycare she ended up kicking my cousin and our children out of her shop. She called our children monsters. I am the first to admit when my kids are missed behaving but they were literally sitting in the waiting room chairs so patiently talking amongst themselves. I cannot believe the audacity to treat a paying customer with such lack of disrespect and customer service. With the amount and level of mental and emotional abuse this woman put not only my cousin and I through but also our children. This should really be raised to a police issue. Literally go anywhere else in the world for alterations besides this place. read more

I went there for the first time this morning to get a pair of dress pants fitted. The second I went in she was very rude demanding in an irritated tone why I was there and if I even had money for the alterations. She called me rude and told me to get out. It was CLEARLY a race issue and she is definitely prejudice against black people with the way she asked if I could afford to get alterations done. She asks like she is better than other minorities and I didn't even get to ask a single question. HIGHLY dissatisfied! read more

Not happy with this company AT ALL! I went in there to get measured for a wedding dress that was being custom made for me. I tried to look past the reviews because I am doing this for measurements and also for potential small alterations that MAY need to be done when I get it. IT HAS BEEN A DISASTER. The person making my dress has been calling me like crazy to re measure things that are 7+ inches OFF... some how she measured my height to be over 6 feet??? I am 5'7"!!! How do you do that??? Not happy with the service at all here. The lady who did my measurements was really nice and I appreciated her help. A lot of people said she was rude, but she wasn't. She's very GET TO THE POINT and make sure you are organized. I will not be going back here again. Beware! read more

The owner is rude and unprofessional! Please save your time and money by going elsewhere. She doesn't deserve our business! I went in to get some jeans hemmed and spoke to the owner (Wasana or whatever her name was) and she yelled at me for asking her if she accepted credit card payments. What cheapskate business doesn't accept cards? GET WITH THE TIMES LADY! read more

I took in a bridesmaid dress that was way too big for me and needed substantial alterations. During the fitting the seamstress pointed out that the pleats in the dress were causing the fabric to fall in a way that wasn't very flattering. She said she'd take care of it, no extra charge. I wore the dress over the weekend - it is perfect! The dress fits great and all of the issues with the pleats have been corrected. It cost $70 to get the dress altered. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. A few reviewers said they thought the location was hard to find. I had a little trouble finding it the first time too. When I went back to pick up the dress I parked in the Dillard's parking lot, facing Grimaldi's. read more

I have used them 4 times now for alterations. The quality is always great. I have had dresses and pants hemmed as well as a dress taken in. They also offer an express next day for more money if you have something you need asap. They are very nice and knowledgeable. This place is the best place for alterations. On a Sunday (around 3pm) I was looking for a tailor that could fix my jacket while I waited. Called all around town. So apparently there are no tailors open past 3 on Sunday around Gilbert/Mesa. Found these folks and they tailored it in 30 minutes! Reasonable price too!!!!! They go above and beyond to make sure you don't wait long. Don't go anywhere else! read more

Terrible customer relations when a problem needs to be addressed. Proprietor was incapable of taking care of poor workmanship without blaming and insulting me. I believe this is a rare example of poor workmanship, but an all to common approach to treating customers poorly when issues arise. Proprietor would do well to handle customers with care. Human decency goes a long way in securing future patronage. read more

The lady who measured me for a pant hem was quite rude--basically yelled at me while measuring my leg because I moved my foot to see if the length she had it at was where I wanted it. I'll take my money elsewhere next time. read more

I was surprised to find out that they do not accept anything but cash so I then went to get cash and left my suit at their establishment. I picked my suit up and tried it on and it fit wonderfully. However one month later after only having worn the suit 3 times the seam where it was adjusted came loose in the pants and tore in a way that is not repairable. I was not doing anything strenuous whatsoever. They did an appalling job at sewing them back together. And they charged me about $90 to do it. My suit was a $700 suit and now it is worthless. If you want to have a quality job done do not come here. It looked nice at first but I now realize it was an extremely poor job. read more

I have been calling local business that provide sewing and alteration services to compare prices. The lady who answered the phone was short and impatient. I asked if the establishment would be able to "sew two queen size flat sheets together and what the price for this is" and I received an astonishing reply of ... $75 Are you out of your mind? That price is more than buying a brand new duvet cover. I've received the service of sewing flat sheets together before and the average price for the service with button holes has been $25-$35 Please attempt to know your competition and be somewhat competitive. read more

Horribly rude. Careless with your clothing. I can accept the cash only policy but the rudeness in delivery is unacceptable.

They unstiched a sizing label from my nike pullover and without ruining it. I'm not great at sewing, so even if this was a simple fix, it meant I didnt have to return it to Nike --which made me very happy! The gal didn't charge me for unstiched the label. She also told me I looked fine in my suit pants and no alterations needed to be made. I appreciated her helpfulness and honesty. I'll be returning to this shop for future alteration needs! read more

Nightmare. Takes forever to get your items.back. very rude. Substandard work. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

This company is great in a quick alteration need. My husband took his work clothes here and we were very satisfied.

Somehow there are many negatives reviews here, which is the opposite of what I have to say. I've had them tailor 2 suits and fix a rip in my pants. Both suits were done perfectly. I had taken some suit pants to men's wear house and they messed up twice on the same pair... this company did perfect on the first try. So I had them do both suit pants and jackets. My other jeans had a bad tear, and they not only put in a solid patch, but made it so you could barely see where it ripped. Awesome place! read more

They are the only people I will use. Their work is supreme! They did extensive alterations to my very complex wedding dress as well as many of my expensive beaded evening gowns.
