I purchased an outfit online for a wedding and I needed it altered. It was an Indian wedding so the outfit was quite elaborate but Sandi was not intimidated! In fact, she shared her history of skill and passion for sewing, and she was very experienced in alterations like mine. This woman is a lifelong teacher and one of those artistic gems we never find nowadays - she worked magic. The outfit was meant to wear with no undergarments (it had a built in bra etc.) and frankly it didn't suit my body at all. She was able to detach the built in coverage, change the placement of the clasps, and the whole ensemble (an ornately adorned two piece) fit like a glove!!! She quoted me tentatively, unsure she could meet my needs, but the end price was far less than I expected. I would go to Sandi for all my tailoring needs. Sandi is great. I brought her a wedding guest dress to shorten and asked her for help making the chest area a bit more conservative. I had no idea how we would be able to do it, but she did it and she made sure the dress with the alteration was able to be put on and taken off without difficulty. She even completed my dress before our discussed pick up date so I was able to get it sooner than expected which worked out perfectly because I ended up having to travel out of town unexpectedly and the original pick up date would've been cutting it really close. She ended up hemming the bottom (2 layers of fabric), raising the slit in the front & she was able to create a sort of fabric clip for the bust so it wasn't too revealing. Sandi is a lifesaver. I messaged Sandi over Yelp late at night explaining that I had a wedding to fly to for the weekend and that my bridesmaid dress was too long even with tall heels. I asked to see if a same day alteration was possible and she messaged me back early the next morning saying she'd be able to do it if I brought it in the next few hours. I was in SUCH a pinch and needed some stripes sewn onto my captain uniform sleeves.
