Ordered Chiliqillas and honestly not something I would order again extremely dry hardly any sauce, I've had better. The waitress is super kind and accommodating and quick to resolve my concern. Replaced my order with patty and eggs. The coffee is good and the beans and potatoes are standard. Beans tasted like their from a can. Potatoes aren't anything special. Tastes like hospital food. Prices are steep for the type of food they are serving. My opinion. The lunch is different as I previously ordered a hamburger and the fries are the best. I would return for the hamburger for sure. The stars reflect nothing on customer service and or my server she is amazing shoutout to Patty for amazing service. This review is based on this breakfast order only. read more

Goooood breakfast spot! Now my friend and I might have been the youngest people there but that doesn't take away from the fact that the food and selection is fantastic lmao. The food is very affordable and really tasty. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. Parking is easy since it has a large parking lot next to it. They also do senior and veteran discounts. Everything. The quality of food is sub standard. You can taste the stale oil being used to cook the hash browns and eggs. My steak looked grey in the center. This place used to be great, it's not even an 'okay'. I won't be back and I can not recommend. read more

Wow Peppertree Cafe is awesome. I came here to have a burger, fries, and a drink and it was one of the best burger and fries I've had in a long time with a really good price. I enjoyed the restaurants atmosphere and look forward to trying everything on the menu. If you are in the area or just want something you will not be disappointed at you need to stop by Peppertree Cafe because you will not be disappointed. First time here and I had a bad experience. The hostess was nice, but the waitress was very dismissive. It just kinda felt rushed when I was ordering. Anywho I order a protein scramble i think and asked if i would be able to do a grilled cheese instead of oatmeal and cottage and she said no. So I said okay whatever, and food comes out and the oatmeal is just very runny, like water so i didn't eat it and i don't like cottage cheese so didn't eat that and the eggs were mediocre. Honestly just didn't have a good experience. Mainly because the waitress was terrible at giving good customer service. Waste of $21.00. I will not be returning.. i should've went to mcdonald's or something. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My family and I have been going to Peppertree for 20+ years since it was originally owned by John and Dave. Now it appears Dave's son runs the restaurant and can I say it has gone downhill. I have never been so angry over a visit but we were just asked to leave because we were done with our food and another party was waiting. We weren't seated until 8:10ish and were asked to leave at 9:22. We were never told ahead of time that we had a time limit. The server first was rushing to clear the table and even took my nieces plate that she was still eating from. Then the server waited till we paid and left a tip to ask us to leave. Then I guess because we were completing our conversation and didn't Jump up as fast as she wanted she came back a couple minutes later to ask us to leave again. I have never felt or been treated so unprofessionally. I've been to nice high end restaurants and have never been asked to leave. It was rude and highly unprofessional. I'm not one to complain or leave bad reviews but when you are treated so poorly I feel it was necessary. There were many other groups that had been there far longer than we had and the entire back banquet section was empty so to just ask us is unbelievable. We were still sitting visiting with family we hadn't seen in 3 years and drinking the coffee we paid for. They have lost a lot of customers by treating loyal customers so poorly. read more

The lady that sat us at our table was very nice, she brought our drinks and said our waitress will be with us shortly. We'll it took lo ger than I thought. When our food was brought my hashbrowns were burnt. I ordered a side of bacon. Out of the 5 pieces 3 were cooked and 2 of them were way under cooked. Our waitress only came over once to see if we needed anything. When we left the lady that brought our drinks ask if she gave us our check. I said no. Instead of complaining about the food. I'll just leave a review and never return!! Worst breakfast I've ever had! The only reason I gave it 1 star was because I had to in order to post this. read more

3 is generous, but it was a solid 2.5. Nothing sounded just right so we went with breakfast options. Always a good choice right? Maybe not so much. I had the meat lovers scrambler with hash browns and refried beans. My wife had the burger patty skillet. Neither was impressive. Price was $37 with beverages. I asked for hash browns crisp but they arrived slightly grilled. The waitress didn't even ask, she just took them and returned my eggs. 10 minutes later the waitress returned with my hash browns. Of course by then the eggs were cold. The refried beans were so salty that I could not eat them. The burger skillet was flavorless and the patty burnt. If you just want filler without taste you're in luck. The waitress did a pretty decent job. She noticed that I didn't eat the beans so she comped me a cinnamon roll. She also offered garlic bread while I waited for my hash browns. I'll spend my money someplace else next time. read more

I've been here twice both after the restaurant opened up for dine in, and both times, I can't resist not ordering chicken fried steak with 2 sides. Both times, I actually got the same sides: potatoes o brien and pancake. This is probably because it's: 1) very delicious, and 2) the price is great. For $11.99 + tax/tip, you could feed yourself 2 large meals. Please do note I try to not order the same dishes, which I'm capable of in other places, but here, this one dish particularly stood out. I did try other dishes by sampling them like the breakfast burrito and french toast, but those are more a one time thing even though they're still solid. The chicken fried steak is quite juicy and the sauce is quite addicting. It's very greasy of course, but definitely eat this dish in moderation. I do wish the scrambled eggs are more over easy, as I prefer that and also, it will allow me to not overcook the eggs in leftovers. The pancake is super big: perfect for a great snack or a decent breakfast on another day. Unlike common diners like Denny's, this place is certainly of quality, and I don't feel disgusted after eating it even though it is very greasy per se. This is why this is quite a popular diner: even early in the morning like 10am you would probably need to wait a few minutes as it is full house. It's even more convenient that it is around Route 66, making it a very classic American atmosphere. read more

This one will be a little different than my normal reviews. Peppertree cafe is one of the classic locations to go to for brunch and breakfast with family and friends. The food and coffee is excellent, service is always so amazing. Many employees are familiar with my family. Now to the Denver omelet review: SIKE! Peppertree cafe is one of few places where I do not get a Denver omelet, but for a good reason. Peppertree cafe has something that many places cannot replicate and that is: the. lumberjack. skillet. The one and only: lumberjack skillet review: Simply amazing. This is my order every single time and I will not be changing that. Perfect layering of materials, eggs always over medium, and cooked perfectly every time. Potato's seasoned well, with a large amount of bacon, ham, and sausage to create a wonderful masterpiece. On top of that, there is nothing better than ordering a lumberjack skillet in front of your friends and then being handed a literal skillet when the food comes around. It's the best. 5-Star Breakfast and service with a smile! I didn't get the gals name who kept the coffee coming, she was just as great as our server, Laura. We stopped by for breakfast and tried their specials. Scrumptious! Review is for service only since we left before ordering food. I sat in a booth with my 2 teenagers for over 20 mins and no one ever came by to take our drink order. A single customer was seated across from us about 5 or so minutes after we were sat. A waitress took his order and brought his food while NO ONE assisted us. We did not even get eye contact from one server. I walked to the front and told the hostess that we were and had been, ready to order. She followed me to our table but first stopped and checked on another customers table, only to tell me a waitress would be by soon. She did not even take our drink order! We left after that. Everyone knows pepper tree in Glendora, it's a classic but to say it's gone down hill is an understatement. This has nothing to do with the waitresses because in my experience they are all very sweet and very attentive. Literally the staff is an A rating in my book. I just can't excuse the food anymore. Far too often the food is bad and even inedible. Fermented horrible smelling cheese is big at this place. I think every time I've gotten something with cheese here i can smell the bad cheese before they even put it down. Hash browns are either undercooked or over cooked, never in the middle. Burnt beans. Most of the food tastes like hospital food. I think they need new cooks or something. Use to love this place so it's definitely a bummer. read more

Cozy well lite with very friendly wait staff at lot of regulars so off top this place has that going for it self the food is tasty and well made you can tell the kitchen staff knows what's it's doing nothing was drowning in grease or oil the pancakes were fluffy and flavorful I had the avo bacon cheese omelette on the breakfast specials menu and it was EGGCELENT fresh coffee will be a go to spot read more

Peppertree is now open for Sit-in/ Dine in! I have never been here before but I wanted to badly eat at a restaurant. From the outside the restaurant looks a bit outdated as well as the interior. I compare this place to a Norms and Denny, but the staff here are nice and friendly; all wearing masks of course. I opted to sit at the bar and enjoyed some traditional steak and eggs ($11) with an Arnold Palmer. The steak and eggs came with 2 sides which I ordered the hash browns and jam/toast. The condiments are packaged in individual containers except salt and pepper which I find odd. The food was more than enough and I did find it tasty. I will be coming here again! read more

I have been going to this restaurant for years. But somehow yesterday was not a good experience. So we came in around 11:20 am for a late breakfast. We waited for a while for the server to get our order. While waiting, we noticed there were flies flying around our table and glass window. The wait staff who seated us obviously was not going to take our order, she was taking care of our customers who came after we did. So after waiting for 10 mins, another wait staff came and took our order. One eggs Benedict and one omelette. Eggs Benedict was fine but the omelette was dry and hard. What happened? The place was not that busy but yet we got poor service and not so good food. read more

Support your local business. Peppertree have Excellent customer service, they're fast and friendly. The food is delicious and fair price. You get a lot of food for what you pay for. I feel good about tipping the servers here knowing they earned it. Unlike a lot of places where I feel I'm guilt tripped into tipping with their POS. read more

Peppertree has long been a favorite of mine as the food and service has always been excellent. Since COVID we are selective as to the establishments we go to and we were pleased they have a patio. We were seated and much to our disappointment not a single staff member that had direct contact with the public had on a mask. It was so upsetting, I wanted to leave but those in our party were hungry and kept theirs on until they were served. I do not understand why the staff would not have on a mask, a waitress that goes from table to table customer to customer. I will not be returning and am very disappointed. Such a simple task to keep the public and their staff safe during these uncertain times. read more

I have been going to the Peppertree Cafe for several years now and I must say the place is like Cheers - Everybody Knows Your Name, including the Chef and his staff of Cooks! They serve great food at a reasonable price. If you want to know anything about what is going on either in town or around the country there is always conversation on both sides. They do their best to cater to seniors who are handicapped and have developed a way to keep customers coming back again and again. The servers are friendly and most do there best to take care of you quickly though when the place is busy (on several days of the week) allow for some extra time. They even have Specials for families as well as a monthly contest give-away that is always an extra treat. I give the owners a Tip of the Hat for putting themselves out there for the customer! We frequent the Peppertree Café at least once a week since buying our home in Glendora. Why do we love this place? Our toddler actually screams with excitement when we pull into the parking lot - it's that good! First and foremost, the staff is AMAZING. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Even on a busy Saturday morning, you will find the wait staff with a smile on their face, making time to get-to-know their patrons. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the menu is huge with so many different options - and moderately priced. I went with my sister and this chick was so fucking rude! I felt like I was bothering her just for ordering. I always check their specials boards as I arrive to see what different entrees they are offering for that day or they have a monthly special that is usually good and comes with a drink. We think their prices are good, certainly for the amount of food that they give you. Sandy is our favorite waitress. She is always very helpful if I'm deciding between different entrees, telling me which she thinks I will like best. The staff here are attentive and friendly.What's neat is that many entres come with a side?And if it does , then I recommend getting the house salad with the house dressing , it's an italian base and honestly , they knock it out of the park , and the salad is quite big for being a side salad. Made me happy they brought it over! They can also do catered events on the patio area. You can reserve a long table with buffet style dishes. I was here for a rehearsal dinner once and it was truly elegant and lovely.

The service was good, I mean we were the only ones in there so..... the food was good, we started with the calamari and we surprised when we got almost full size calamari in our order. Maybe thats their thing but we've never seen the full size calamari like that. we were in the mood for steak and the steak we had was super tender, dare I say too tender? Maybe, but it was tasty. The shrimp was plain and the loaded potato was tasty too. Overall I feel like we got a $200 dinner in a $100 place. Yes the food was good but we could've had a better ambiance dining at home for those prices.

But what happened next was unbelievable. While I was on the phone explaining that I did place the order and had proof, the chef actually said, "Well, anyone could call and say they placed an order." The audacity. Instead of listening, instead of checking, instead of even pretending to care, I was basically accused of making the whole thing up. And here's the kicker: after all that attitude, all that dismissiveness, all that unnecessary back‑and‑forth, the order ticket suddenly appeared. Miraculously. I still picked up the tamales because it was Christmas and I didn't have time for more chaos, but the damage was done. The situation could have been handled with basic respect and professionalism. Instead, it was handled with suspicion and rudeness. We never went back and honestly, that says everything.

Hot, fresh Mexican food and the coldest beer ever!…read more Everything came out nice and hot, and the fresh cheese was perfectly bubbly. The menudo was great and really hit the spot. Even better, the inside was a comfortable 70° while it was 102° outside! Service was wonderful, the food was fresh, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Absolutely would recommend this place. We both had the $8.99 breakfast Huevos Rancheros special which included a Cinnamon Coffee! The food dish and coffee both tasted so good! Great service and a clean restaurant! Carmen and our server lady were so nice! I wanted to get some of the Dodger day specials, but I was told that was not until after 4 pm. The online flyer didn't specify that. We had a great time here nonetheless!!!
