Wait staff are super nice but Food is average at best. The restaurant is dirty. You can't help to wonder how clean the kitchen is.

Our family loves eating here but the hours of operation make it hard for us to go now. Closing at 11am just doesn't cut for us.

When I spend a weekend in Los Angeles, I normally leave early in the morning and stop for breakfast somewhere along the 210 in one of the Foothill communities. There are so many older places that survived the loss of traffic when Route 66 was made somewhat irrelevant by the freeways. The Peppertree Café is one of those places that have survived and serve hearty, classic breakfast dishes. I sat at the counter as I like to do and from the conversarions I could hear, the people there were locals and regulars. After looking over the menu, I ordered the New Mexico omelette that the menu describes as "bacon, tomato and green chilies, topped with avocado and pepper jack cheese." You also have the choice of two sides and I got the hash browns and rye toast. When the breakfast came, it was huge!! The plate was very large to accommodate all the food. While the omelette looked a bit funny with the half avocado on top, it was good. The hash browns were standard. There was so much that I had to leave some of the hash browns go. Service was excellent with coffee refills done often. AN A-OK breakfast that fueled me for the other 220 miles to go. read more

Super friendly service! We came on a packed day but got seated pretty quickly. My husband and I both got scramblers and our daughter got chocolate chip pancakes. Decent place. I'd say your average American diner/cafe-- similar to Denny's, Millie's, Coco's, etc. Came here on a Saturday night with my family. Wasn't too busy; we were seated right away. We were also well attended to by the waitresses. I ordered from their "today's special" menu. As pictured, I ordered the wasabi-glazed salmon fillet w/ steamed veggies (other options were w/ sauteed veggies, mashed potatoes, rice pilaf). It was alright-- not bad for a first choice. In addition, it came with a bowl of soup: Italian wedding soup (as pictured. They had ran out of their chicken tortilla soup, so this was the only option left-- but no biggie!) It tasted nice, warm, and overall delightful. But yeah like all the other diners/cafes, I would love to try out the rest of the menu. So best believe I'll be back! read more

Ordered a 2x4, 2 sunrise breakfast sandwiches, and a cinnamon roll. 2x4 was missing sausage so I guess it's a 2x3 now. One sunrise sandwich was missing a side and had a hair in it. I was going to call and complain but seeing as someone else said they had mistakes on their order twice and didn't get an apology or discount, I didn't even bother. Breakfast Review We've passed this place many times before and I would have never thought to come eat here if it wasn't for my real estate agent. She lives in the area and we mentioned to her that we're at Flappy Jack's a lot of breakfast. She told us that her favorite breakfast is at Peppertree Café and to try the O'Brian potatoes. I order a half order of French Toast with 2 eggs, 1 bacon, 1 sausage and coffee. My husband orders an omelet with biscuits, gravy, and potatoes and an orange juice. TOTAL was $22.95 for our order. Overall, we were greeted and seated immediately and given great service. The food was also decent. My husband's comments were that he liked the potatoes better at Peppertree, but still prefers the omelets at Flappy Jack's. My French toast was pretty good and I actually liked it better than the ones from Leroy's (in Monrovia). So right now, verdict is that we'll be back to try more things. read more

The most underrated breakfast spot around!! Great prices and the quality/quantity of food is awesome!! It's a little mom and pop shop in Glendora. I found it on Yelp and I'm so glad I came! I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet!! Mmmmmmmmm! I couldn't believe the portion size I got for $9! Came with potatoes, eggs, bell peppers, cheese, & chicken fried steak strips. We've gone their for breakfast at least 30 times in the last year or so. We go there all the time with our friends for good reason. The food is good, priced reasonably and the staff is always great. Everyone that works there seems to be working as a team. No one has a bad attitude and they seem to be grateful on one way or another. We usually get Jessica, Patti or another very nice short brunette server. Does t matter who you get,,,? They all do such a great job accommodating. I usually get the Irish Benedict and a pancake in the side (I request my pancakes to come out later, kind of like a desert) they have no problem doing that. I also have gotten many breakfast skillets (all meat I think they call The lumberjack, one with egg and kielbasa sausage links) food is always good. I always feel at home and important. I would highly recommend We sometimes come in with like 6-8 of us. They still handle like it's just 2 of us. We went on Saturday evening and I have to say how disappointed we were with not only the food (terrible), but the flies were a huge problem. The "kids" and I went out to dinner Friday night. Peppertree has a huge, enclosed patio for outdoor dining. When we arrived, we discovered the patio IS NOT pet friendly. I would normally rate a restaurant that has a non-pet friendly outdoor space at 3*. Since my tuna melt, onion rings & cheesecake TO GO was the bomb, I'll keep it at 4* despite Chueco and Chula's broken hearts. (See picture of sad dogs in front of ginormous enclosed patio) PTC, you are in California on Rte 66. Pet friendly is practically the norm. If that isn't enough, think of the $$$$ from pet parents like me you are missing out on. I love the food, but PTC is no longer on my list. This review is over a week late, cause we gave management time to contact us. Since we never needed up hearing from them here it is. We recieved a roast beef sandwich and half way through it my wife pulled out a Japanese beetle!! How disgusting!! We called the restaurant and were told that there was no manager there to help us, we drove back to the restaurant with the food and the ladies working didn't even seem shocked to hear there was a fat ass bug in somones food. We were given $40 gift certificates, I stated I wanted a refund because why the hell would we want to eat here ever again. We were told a manager would contact us the next day to give us a refund...never heard from anyone. Went to this restaurant 2nd time on this July 4th. when I asked the lady, can I use the coupon (2nd dish 1/2 off). She answered:" no, it's not available for holiday use." I checked the coupon several times, and did not notice there is a mention of holiday exclusive. Does she lying on me?
