Came for breakfast, our waitress was friendly and took our orders promptly. We had a little bit of breakfast and lunch. Our food came out hot, tasted good, the pancakes were a little rubbery, hard to eat needed a knife and folk to cut through, but was also a pancake larger than your face. The restaurant had older decor with a mom and pop diner like feel. We would come back for another breakfast

Stopped in last week for breakfast. Busy as usual, so we had a little wait, but not too long. They have a long breakfast bar, so if you're okay elbowing up to a stranger, that's a great option for faster seating. The service is always good, the food is tasty, and the portions are a good size. My mother had the Special #1 ($12.99), or as I call it the "2-2-2" (2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, and 2 sides) which is a good deal. My wife and I split the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs (3 XL eggs and 2 sides) which was plenty filling for both of us, especially with a side of biscuits and gravy. I can't say that we've eaten anything other than breakfast here, however the lunch menu looks fantastic as well, so some day we're going to have to swing by and check out their other offerings.

After all these years of driving by the Peppertree Cafe, my wife and I found time to come in and dine. I know Peppertree is a well known establishment in Glendora and would hear good times about them. Parking is very easy since the lot is huge! We came in late afternoon so the restaurant wasn't packed. They are only open during the breakfast and brunch hours. First impressions upon walking in are it's a typical diner style of vibe with counter top seating to the right. Then the host takes your party to the left side with a spacious dining area with many booths and tables. The menu is insanely big with items. I love all the breakfast options from omelettes, skillets, breakfast plates and even sandwiches and burgers as well. The prototypical diner menu for sure. I enjoy breakfast food at any hour type of guy. The items range from $14-18 depending of with meals/combos you like. My wife ordered an omelette and I ordered the country fried steak. Each of our orders came with 2 sides and the options were endless. The service was fine and accommodating. Different servers come to check on you. Our main server was very personable and kind. Once all the food delivered it took up all the table space. And I mean in a good way! The portions were HUGE! The country fried steak had two pieces and came with 3 eggs! I got hash browns as a side as well as 1 pancake. This pancake looked like 2 pancakes, it was so big. My wife's omelette plate was full with hash browns and here side of pineapple slices. We were very happy with all our food and finished almost of all of it. Well worth the price point in today's time. Having lived in town for 20+ years now I can honestly say that the pepper tree never ceases to amaze me. I had lunch the other day with a good friend, and I ordered the black and bleu salad. I had them toss the salad with blue cheese, including the blue cheese crumbles. Easily one of the best salads I've ever had. Whether it's breakfast, lunch salad you're in for a treat with good customer service and quality food. It may not be the newest place but is always clean. Unlike mentioned throughout my review the food is always good.

I went to Peppertree Cafe this past Saturday afternoon. My husband and I have talked about dining here for years and we were so glad to finally make the decision to stop by. They are a typical American style diner. They offer a lot of breakfast items including burgers and sandwiches. I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with two sides. The sides were hash browns and pineapple slices. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns and one pancake. The service was good. They were always checking in on us. The food was well prepared and all of it was tasty. Each order was $17.99. For the price, we got a big portion of food. I would definitely come back and try something new.

The restaurant was very homey. They have both counter, booth and table seating. We were greeted at the door by the hostess and seated when our full party arrived. Drinks served, orders taken thenur food arrived shortly thereafter. My coffee cup never went below 1/2 full as they regularly bade therounds topping off the drinks. Came here with high expectations and left with mixed feelings. Wife and I had seen this place on social media and the hype about their pancakes and breakfast sweets. We decided to try it on a weekday when it is less busy. First impression, this place has that traditional diner feeling with an eating counter, cozy booths around that dining room. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. Now the main thing. The food. Let me start off with the coffee, if I would've blind tasted I would've thought I was drinking warm water. Not impressed by their coffee. Their breakfast menu has all the standards from traditional eggs, bacon and hash browns plates, to steak and eggs and everything in between. We settled on omelettes and a Belgium waffle. The omelette was decent, honestly expect it to be a little bigger but it was good. I went with the side of fruit and biscuits with gravy. The fruit was served as slices with the peel on them which I was not a fan of. The biscuits and gravy was OK, the biscuits didn't taste fresh and the gravy was pretty bland. The waffle was good, honestly expected the batter to be a lot of buttery but I guess that a personal preference. Over all, this place was OK. Would visit again but definitely not my number 1 choice for breakfast.

This place is a fabulous family style old-fashioned restaurant. The food is good ( try the fish and chips! More than shareable with another person.) they have a breakfast special Monday through Friday before 11 that includes an egg, either sausage or bacon and two pancakes for only 6.99. It's really very good. there are other breakfast specials before 11 also. Other prices are fair and the servers are top notch. Don't look for Michelin stars but if you want to go somewhere you feel like family and you don't want to break the bank, come here!!

I don't know how we never came here after all 5 years of living in this city! We LOVE the service! The ladies were super nice and gave us a bit of history of the restaurant. Food here is so amazing - huge portions and affordable price! The vibe of the restaurant was a hit too - with the decors and pictures hung on the wall, you can feel the history of this place.

Love this restaurant because of the diversity of the menu. They have great steaks always evenly cooked to order. The beauty of this restaurant is that there isn't any policy or procedure to how it operates; for example, if I order steak and eggs and instead of hash browns I want a baked potatoe, rice, broccoli, whatever. . They never hassle you with saying it's extra or it's not allowed. The quality of the food is great as well very large portions for a great price. This is one of the few restaurants in california that have a smoking section outside as well. Overall they don't have any specialty item's that stand out on the menu but all the food taste great and management is very friendly which is a plus if you get a crummy server. So if you're on Route 66 stop by and check it out. read more

i love a good coffee shop and this place is close to my house and the price is right. i definitely suggest you order a beef-eater and add mushrooms to it, sooooo good. the fries are ok and i love fries so it's a little disappointing when i eat out and the fries aren't up to my standard. the portions are large and the service is good. one thing that makes me feel a little awkward is the mayberry feel to the place. regardless, i will continue to here. i just wish i lived closer to a carrows =( read more

Today was our third time ordering takeout from this place... and let me tell you, this place sucks at it! The first time we ordered, they got one of the meals wrong! We didn't call to complain because it was our first time trying out, it was an honest mistake. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. Ok - Fine. The second time we ordered Take out, they only gave us one pancake... we had ordered 2 pancakes with the egg and sausage. We most definately called and complained! They gave us a $20 voucher. So, we decided to give them a try again today.... SMH. They screwed up yet again! Needless to say, we won't be ordering takeout ever again!!! One is better of just dinning in. read more

My favorite Restaurant! The staff is awesome and the breakfast is my favorite. They have the best coffee and they have the flavored creamers. Also they have the biggest and best Omelette's in town. This place is a poor excuse of a restaurant. The food is terrible and for people who are merely looking to fill their stomach with something. The food is no art piece. It's places like these that need to go and the longer they stick around the more harm they do to a city's image. Glendora is no culinary destination or foodie's paradise but places like these don't help its image either. read more

Came here on a sunday because Flappy Jack's wait was just too long... So the boyfriend was like look for something else nearby and I saw this and we came... It was crowded but the flow of the wait was moving as people arrived people left. The staff is extremely friendly.. FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!! It did not disappoint as a matter of fact we liked it better than Flappy's. The boyfriend ordered a skillet and it was delicious the potatoes were cooked perfectly and the eggs was mixed in well. They cooked it how he ordered it and the pancake was to die for. I ordered the pastrami sandwhich and when I say DELICIOUS i mean DELICIOUS. better than the hats and the fries and onion rings are good too nice and crispy... I ordered half/half because I couldn't decide what I wanted... DEF need to come back and check out other items off the menu. I saw the turkey avocado sandwhich and I wanted that too... lol a must try next time... prices are reasonable as well... will not disappoint and you don't have to wait that long either and up the street from flappys... def the new spot :) read more

Nice place for breakfast, lots of choices. We went for simple bacon and eggs combos; they come with two side orders each. Unfortunately, the biscuits and gravy side was really oily; I think there was a malfunction somewhere. However, I saw several people getting really nice looking orders, like strawberry waffles and ham steaks that looked more appetizing, so I'll give it another shot. read more

Ordered the eggs Benedict with hash brown- $8.99; and we ordered the waffle special - $7.49 with bacon and egg whites. Well the eggs-bene were great; the waffle had too much spice in it: I think it was nutmeg, which was a little overpowering. The egg whites had little in flavor and were also little in quantity. The food was 3.5, but rounded up to 4, because the service was great! read more

I have been coming to PepperTree Cafe for several years and every visit has exceeded the previous. The food is amazing and the portions are beyond enough (to-go box every time)! The staff goes above and beyond for there customers which is a rarity these days. Highly recommend!!! Some of my favorites are their Thursday specials which include a juicy top sirloin steak and all you can eat popcorn shrimp! read more

Millennials beware: poor cell service inside. Other than that, meals run around $10 per person. The environment is dated, but comfortable and the business is still frequented by many as it is a staple of the city of Glendora. read more

Great prices with generous portions. Family atmosphere, and friendly staff. One of the last good family diners left. If you are looking for great comfort food and that homemade taste, they have it. They have a huge menu and their specials change daily so make sure to check the chalkboard when you walk in or he paper menu they give you. read more

This has to be one of my favorite spots to eat. I've eaten to so many places and this place feels like home. I brought my fiancé here for breakfast one time and she was amazed at how plentiful the food was and how delicious everything came out. We ordered omelettes and coffee. We both agreed that the coffee was smooth and not burnt. Something today's diners tend to do. We also ordered a milkshake and omg was it creamy and delicious!! It wasn't too thick, the ice cream was light, and best of all, it was done by the time they came and asked if it was going good. I definitely will be coming back here again for breakfast and tackle the lunch and dinner menus as well! read more

Man I have to be honest my parents really like Peppertree Cafe. I mean they really like this place. I've gone twice and the food is par. Nothing exactly special but the food is fine. The clientele is a tad bit on the older side. I think that's why my parents enjoy this restaurant. The clientele must make them feel young again. The food is fine but I'm sure you could find something better. read more

I can't say I was expecting this place to be great, but I also didn't think it would be this bad. How do you get simple diner breakfast wrong. From the moment I walked in; I knew I was going to regret coming here. Everything was sticky; menus, table top; utensils had a film. We ordered the applewood egg meal with hash browns and a chorizo burrito. Both dishes were awful; we had a couple bites and gave up. Although Laura was friendly and regretted that we didn't enjoy our meal; she made no effort to refund us. She simply apologized and took my credit card. Skip this place and go to McDonald's. read more

This is the only place I know of that the moment you sit down, they ask what you would like to drink and the drinks arrive shortly after. This is a smart thing to do. Most cafes have a standard drink/limited beer and wine service, so most people know what they want ahead of time. By asking up front, this cuts out a lot of time looking at a menu, having a waitress come over 5 minutes later and then waiting another 5 minutes just to get something to drink. The service is great and the portions are enough to feed two people. Their dinner specials are very reasonable as are all of the items on the menu. I recently ordered an appetizer and a glass of wine and the appetizer was the size of a meal. Friday evenings, most tables are filled. Weekend breakfast is also very busy. I give this 5 stars for several reasons-the service, the extensive menu, good food that is reasonably priced and the casual atmosphere. We have gone many places and either the service is terrible or the prices are too high or both. Here, it is a consistency that you always know you will continually get and that is why we return. read more

VEGAN FRIENDLY!! so happy to find a place that really lives in the stigma of hardcore American cafe that has vegan options :) I didn't know what to get to eat when I was with my family and I'm the only vegan, I found that the garden burger wrap is vegan! It has a veggie type of meat in it with no egg or dairy! And it was delicious too! Really recommend read more

I help run a Challenger baseball program for handicapped kids in Glendora and I asked this restaurant for a donation for our raffle fundraiser so we can buy uniforms for the kids. The owner was so gracious he said yes in three seconds and came back with gift certificate donations so we can raffle them off at our fundraiser. I would highly recommend this restaurant because they're friendly and gracious and the food is awesome. Thank you. read more

Great place to visit for a nice little café. Home cooked meals with fast service. They already had their Halloween decorations set up and it felt festive. I was there for breakfast and enjoyed a delicious meal with fasten helpful service. If you want to try a café for breakfast I would recommend this place. read more

My parents brought me to dinner here the other night. This place looks a little run down and needs a lot of updating but the food is really good. But the men's restroom is literally a portapotty outside... not kidding. Don't know if it's always like that or temporary but gross. We got sat right in front of a TV which was showing the Dodgers game. That alone gave them an extra star. Dinner and Dodgers, yes please. I ordered the Top sirloin special cooked med. it came with a salad which was amazing! lol I'm picky with my dinner salads but this lettuce mixture and dressing was so good! The steak was a bit over cooked but still tender which was a nice surprise. The garlic herb butter was a nice little add of flavor. Baked potato was good and a decent size. And their garlic bread tastes like Northwoods Inn garlic bread. Overall I had a nice dinner. I docked 2 stars due to the overall look of the restaurant and the server. I'll definitely go back and update a review if needed :) read more

Think classic American coffee shop. If that is your mindset, you will be 100% satisfied. Great meal for 2 for less then $30 including tip. Good solid comfort food breakfasts served all day. I love the wide variety of sandwiches and try to act like I'm being good by getting the fruit instead of the fries that taste just like my mom used to make (remember when we fried things at home?). My wife loves the prime rib special. Best $11 prime rib you will find anywhere. Not fine dinning but when it comes to every day food, this is our choice a couple of times a week. read more

This place has a great location easy to get to. The service from the hostess was very accommodating and prompt, The menu was more than i expected and the food was great. The waitress we had was also did a good job. This was our second trip to Peppertree and was disappointed when we sat outside to have breakfast and was forced to go inside because of SMOKERS. They still allow smoking on the patio. so if your a non smoker don't eat on the patio there are other places to eat in Glendora that have patios that don't allow smoking. Maybe they will stop accommodating the locals who only drink coffee and smoke and chase of the customers read more

I have been going to the Peppertree Cafe for several years now and I must say the place is like Cheers - Everybody Knows Your Name, including the Chef and his staff of Cooks! They serve great food at a reasonable price. If you want to know anything about what is going on either in town or around the country there is always conversation on both sides. They do their best to cater to seniors who are handicapped and have developed a way to keep customers coming back again and again. The servers are friendly and most do there best to take care of you quickly though when the place is busy (on several days of the week) allow for some extra time. They even have Specials for families as well as a monthly contest give-away that is always an extra treat. I give the owners a Tip of the Hat for putting themselves out there for the customer! We frequent the Peppertree Café at least once a week since buying our home in Glendora. Why do we love this place? Our toddler actually screams with excitement when we pull into the parking lot - it's that good! First and foremost, the staff is AMAZING. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Even on a busy Saturday morning, you will find the wait staff with a smile on their face, making time to get-to-know their patrons. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the menu is huge with so many different options - and moderately priced. I went with my sister and this chick was so fucking rude! I felt like I was bothering her just for ordering. I always check their specials boards as I arrive to see what different entrees they are offering for that day or they have a monthly special that is usually good and comes with a drink. We think their prices are good, certainly for the amount of food that they give you. Sandy is our favorite waitress. She is always very helpful if I'm deciding between different entrees, telling me which she thinks I will like best.
