just purchased a Lg pepperoni,sausage, and. mushroom pizza; and wings. we asked for well done. the pizza was nasty, the pizza was very soggy, and the wings were barely cooked let alone well done as ordered. Every employee I've met there had been very friendly. My only problem is the pizza. When they changed buildings, i don't know what happened but the pizza has gotten bad. Pepi's has always been one of my favorite pizza places to go. Yea, half of it is just the family/kid friendly side of it. Used to go their with my family, played games with my brothers and cousins. Love the food as well. Only complaint is it's a little bit more expensive then you might be expecting. Pepsi was the place to go when I was growing up. My husband and I went there last night so that he could try it for the first time. He hated it and I don't like it so much anymore. It was point out that it is like pizza you give to kids. After paying $30 for a small cheese pizza 10 wings that were just honey and no garlic and 2 salads we left not pleased. They used to be good years ago but not anymore. The delivery guy looks stoned all the time, the pizza is subpar to what it once was. They had tried opening multiple stores at one point but the subpar service, and subpar product forced them to close all but the main store. If you feel you must order from them make sure to ask for extra everything you want on it, including cheese. Though at 1.50 per item that might get expensive, but if you don't you'll wonder if they even put the items you wanted on it. ALWAYS ASK FOR EXTRA CHEESE, if you don't you'll get mostly sauce. Ordered a small pizza and 10 (jumbo) garlic/parmesan wings. Pizza was bland and very undercooked, wings were far from jumbo and had a fishy taste to them. After telling them about the wings, our server said it had to have been the parmesan that made them taste that way. Wings were taken off the bill. I really don't understand why so many locals like this place. The pizza here is ok at best. The cheese tastes artificial and greasy, and the sauce is rather flavorless. The worst thing about Pepi's though is the service. I have never had good service here. Most of the waitresses act like they hate their jobs, and it creates such a negative atmosphere. The food also takes forever to come out, even when it isn't busy. I gave this restaurant so many chances just because it seems to be treasured by the local residents, but it just doesn't measure up. I love the atmosphere and nostalgia of this place, but I'm not sure why so many rave about the pizza - it's good, but not great.. and forget about delivery- by the time it gets to your house it's soggy. Can't go wrong with the stuffed Pepi Special and fried dough. The half priced wings on Mondays are a good deal.

So the food was ok. But the service was horrible. All of the people's food around. Us got messed around. My family's wings and pizza went to a different table. They gave us the right pizza right of the table then the wings were fresh from the kitchen. So the table next to us basically got all of our food. Horrible no apologies or anything. Nothing but problems! I have had bad service throughout the years! Every so often I will try a restaurant again after a bad service, well I called tonight....9:31 PM. I was asked pickup or delivery and I said I had a couple of questions..... 1. If the wings were half off today. Yes. 2. Are the boneless wings included? No. 3. If I order online, do I get the wing special price? No. I say alright, let me find out what my husband wants and I will call right back. At 9:39 I call back, the guy asks if I want pickup? I say no delivery. He tells me they stop taking delivery orders at 9:30. (Mind you I called after that in the first place.) I said, "So you are telling me I screwed myself over, when I told you I would call right back...I should have stayed on the line?" With a half laugh, yeah I guess so. Obviously Pepis doesn't want their customers. I won't be back! I used to order online regularly. I like to pay by credit card, so I use online services more, than trying to give my credit card info over the phone, (I feel safer),They boast about having a reward program, but you don't get credit if you order online. I sent communication through private message before and got no help to resolve the points issue. I have gotten undercooked chicken wings delivered before, so please if you decide to order make sure you get the 15 min wings! read more

Great atmosphere. Servers are fast and friendly, food is very fresh and warm. Great arcade also, with classic (bowling) and modern(guitar hero) games. Restaurant is very clean, and they even have a soft serve window. I love the very warm theme, and the kids love the toy metal train that circles the restaurant. My visit to pepi's was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I normally don't complain that much about less than perfect service, but this was exceptionally bad. Our food took about an hour to arrive, (We ordered a basket of the fried dough as an appetizer and a small pizza to share). Like I said, after an hour, we got our undercooked pizza. Hmmm, no appetizer? The waitress said she forgot, and she could still order them. I was shocked she didn't even apologize at all, it really seemed like not a big deal to her. On top of that, the table next to use had been waiting nearly 2 hours for food. Once their food came, they were missing their chicken fingers, which one of the kids ordered because they couldn't have gluten. The waitress had the audacity to tell the mom that because they had been waiting so long, the waitress figured she didn't want them anymore. Keep in mind, this was the table next to us, it was like watching an episode of Candid Camera or Punk'd, trying to see how far you could push customers before the get angry or start cursing up a storm. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The best part was the angry and annoyed attitude the counter staff gave that mom when she went to complain, as if it was somehow her fault? Stunning customer service. Long story short, my fiancee' and I both ate 1 slice, we got our bill (which of course had the fried dough on it, that we never received) and I left a few dollars for an 18 dollar bill. I don't know why I even left that much, I guess I felt guilty since I did eat a piece of that sad excuse for pizza. On my way out the door, I ran into another couple who was also leaving without paying. I've never witnessed such a mass exodus of people simply get up and leave a restaurant. Sorry for the long winded response, but my experience was so bad there it was almost comical. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Pepi's ever again in my lifetime, and if anyone ever asks about it, I make a point of telling them to never go there again. There are plenty of other places in Oneida where you can get a good meal, with competent and polite service. Pepi's is not that place. read more

Stopped in for lunch today and our waitress told us about their specials for lunch. We ended up ordering the polla special that came with a drink for five dollars. When she brought our orders out my first reaction was these things are huge! In retrospect I think the wife and I could have shared one polla and we both would have been full. We ate most of our meal but had to leave some on our plates. The food was very tasty and perfectly cooked. It took a little longer than we thought it should from when we ordered to when the food was actually brought to the table but that can be overlooked when it's good. As big as these things are it probably takes a little while to cook them anyway! We would eat here again. read more

Maybe I should wait a while before I write about our experience at Pepi's in Oneida tonight. This was by far one of our worst restaurant experiences on all fronts. Our waitress was less than pleasant and when she had the opportunity to apologize for the neglect she deflected all responsibility. We were celebrating my granddaughter's birthday. She had on a birthday button and a birthday girl sash. What waitress would not take this opportunity to engage with her guests and join in the celebration or at least acknowledge the birthday girl? Not our waitress. We had to ask for our drinks after 20-30 minutes, remind her we did not get one of the two salads we ordered, finally got our second glass of choclate milk after at least 20 minutes, never got checked on, had to go find someone else to get a take home box for our pizza and to get our check. Finally, once we decided we needed to tell management the girl at the front was speechless because apparently there was no manager there! Shocking! We wanted to voice a complaint and our waitress showed up! When I told her our experience was not a good one she responded "What table were you at"! She didn't even know I was one of her customers! This is a hometown Family business, that opened in the 1960's. They make great pizza, I get the "special" med 8 cut that's great, drive by on a weekend you will see how much business they have earned over the years. Long time fan of Pepi's. They have great pizza and have long catered to local youth groups, hosting several small banquets for teams I have coached and they have photos of local sports teams under glass on their tables.. They have been here for years and one of my first memories was of the original owner standing in the window flipping dough when I first moved to the area. While the pizza is great, recently made a discovery that I was previously unaware of. Wed-Sat from 11AM-3PM they apparently have a luncheon special where for $5 you can get a choice of several items (I highly recommend the sausage sandwich) and a beverage and it includes tax. I'm a big eater and the sandwich is huge with sauce and cheese and probably the best lunch deal in town. read more
