I met a group of women for lunch at this little gem of a place right off of the main street in Oneida. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I immediately was seated and my drink order was taken. There were two specials for the day as well as their regular menu. I ordered the healthy salad, which was a mix of yellow beets, quinoa, and nuts over field greens. It was delightful and very large. I stopped in for lunch with my son today. As he said, "it made a good day, great". After looking over the menu, we both opted for the Turkey & Cranberry sandwiches with kettle chips. I am not exaggerating, but this was the best "Thanksgiving" sandwich I've ever had. Everything was perfect, especially the turkey, which was carved right from the bird. The chips were also perfect. In town for a business meeting, I always try to find a local non chain eatery. This was right up my alley. Small, quant, family run business with attention to detail and great food. If you try nothing else but the special you need to have zucchini fries as a side plate. They are completely shareable and made fresh daily. read more

I was going to give this 4 stars because I love the food and the service is good (because it's so small). However, I remembered how many times I've walked in there and wasn't able to eat (or unwilling to wait 20 minutes). It's a very small place, 10 tables maybe would be my guess of memory. It's also very limited business hours. So that's why I gave it 3 stars. Great food! Can be tough to actually get in. read more

I used to work in Oneida my work family and I would order lunch from here at least once a week and lets just say mouth watering! The food is so good very fresh and delicious. We would have it delivered and the young man would always deliver with a smile and was so friendly and courteous. I must say this place is what I miss the most about working in Oneida. The best food in the area. First time there. Tried the Tuscan salad and one of the soups of the day- sweet potato. Both were amazing. The only down side is the hours. But if you can make it there, it's a great lunch spot. read more

I was so impressed with this restaurant, I had to write a review right away! I have heard great things about the food and service and my first visit there proved it all to be true! I got the Chicken Marsala Panini with zucchini fries and I was blown away by the flavor and quality of the food. Portions are big as well! Utica Coffee is their coffee they serve there which is my favorite and our waitress made sure we had plenty of refills of the coffee! My son had the roast beef sandwich with au jus and said it was probably the best sandwich he has had in a very long time. Everything was top notch between the food, the service and I noticed how everyone who left the restaurant was told "thank you" by the employees there. New owners have succeeded in taking this little gem to a new level. Small and quaint with great service. One of the only places in town worth eating at. All the food is freshly prepared with what seems to be a focus on seasonal foods. The hours are short as is the menu but worth fitting in to your busy day. Its a little nostalgic cafe on the corner of Mains St. & Madison St. Last night our Club had our annual banquet there. There were about 20 ladies. The meal started with a mixed greens and veggie salad. We had a buffet of Chicken Marcella, perfectly cooked ( not overcooked ) vegetable medially, pasta, and roasted potatoes. The chicken was delicious and melted in your mouth. Desert was choice of a 3 layer white cake with strawberries in cream cheese foresting or yummy deep dark moist chocolate cake. Our tables had set nicely with a crisp white table cloth. The food was served timely. This was a nice relaxing evening at a little gem of a restaurant. read more

I ate lunch here for the first time recently, and I have very mixed feelings. The food is OK- a little on the bland side. Their sandwich and soup options do have a lot of variety. However, there is not a single vegetarian-friendly option on the menu, which is a little disappointing. They are willing to take the meat off of certain menu items, but you still have to pay full price for what is now a far less substantial dish. As far as pricing goes, they do offer economical combos, but their drinks and sides are ridiculously overpriced. I paid $1.50 for a can of soda and $2.50 for a tiny side of macaroni that was barely big enough for me to know how it tasted. The atmosphere is very nice though with a window view of the street. I do think the menu, flavors, and pricing need a little revamping before I would want to visit again. read more
