Have been interested in them for a while as their Facebook pictures are very enticing. Went here for a work lunch today and very happy with the experience. Have to admit there was some hiccups but they handled it excellently. First of all, it is a true Terrace Cafe of the Museum. The waiter Dylan(?) is extremely friendly and you can tell he really wants you to enjoy the experience there. Ordered their fried devil eggs as appetizer: the boiled egg white is fried, along with some mustard? to the whipped egg yolk. Not sure what exactly was in that yolk mixture, as it was coarser. While it is a warm twist, the added flavor in the yolk delivered the refreshing taste. I like it. ordered their glazed salmon for entree. Fish was cooked excellently, almost crusted outside and tender juicy inside - not the overcooked salmon. The sweetness in the glaze gave the light dish a beautiful touch. There was a mystery ingredient in the dish that at first we thought it was scallop. It is round cornmeal croutons to cleanse your palette. But, it tasted like a spoonful of pure salt! bitterly salty that deliver a cold chill immediately oh, the hiccup? It was the fish. The first one came with a hair on it and they apologized and took it back immediately. The waiter brought a new dish back and told me they would not charge me and would give me a dessert for free. The way they handled this make me feel very good, especially when I heard many complaints about poor service recently. After this, the waiter apologized sincerely again and again, also told me how bad the chef felt about himself. Hey, things happen and their attitude is golden! Back to the desert. They only had two dessert, strawberry mousse or chocolate mousse - of course I picked chocolate. Unfortunately it is not quite to my taste as it is a bit "greasy"? Surprisingly, when I received the bill, they did not charge another mousse my coworker had in addition to my entree and dessert. Wow. Their service deserves an appreciation gesture: out of pocket extra tips in addition to the "maximum" 20%. I will definitely go back. Recommended - better to make a reservation if you are going! read more
