The food was amazing had a veggie omelette and my girlfriend had a hash brown breakfast bowl That was filled with mushrooms and turkey bacon with eggs over easy over the hashbrowns that were amazing. They were cooked perfectly. My omelette was filled with chunks of broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, onions with pepper jack cheddar cheese.Perfect day on the weekend outside having breakfast. Put this one on your list if you're in the area, you will definitely not be disappointed. read more

Very cozy and welcoming, and a good selection for breakfast. Waitress was lovely and prices were fine. This seems to be a place that elders like, always a good sign. Only drawback was the strong cleaning aid /febreeze? scent when you first get there. We enjoyed the seasoned potatoes and the eggs and bacon were cooked just right. read more

Been coming here for years and was shocked when I noticed I have never done a review. We used to come every weekend for brunch when we lived up the street. Now we don't come as much but the food is always good and the staff are warm and friendly. Debbie used to be one of our regular waitress when she worked at Creekside but we are happy she opened her own place several years ago. Restaurant has a homey feel to it with some diner vibes. They are opened for lunch and breakfast only. Be sure to save room for desserts as her homemade pies are delicious. read more

This is my go to diner spot in New Hartford. It's clean, spacious, the food is solid, and the staff is extremely friendly. I haven't been a regular here for the last three years and not once have been disappointed. They have fancy eggs they have the omelette, they have the quesadillas....but go to is the double Dees special. Two Eggs, a meat, home fries, toast perfectly toasted, juice and unlimited coffee for 9. You can't beat this! read more

I came here for a breakfast with my friends. We were seated and ordered immediately but it took an hour (not an exaggeration) to get our food. None of us ordered difficult items and our waitress did not inform us what went wrong. It was not particularly busy and it seemed the service was this awful for everyone. The food itself was ok my omelette was very burnt but nothing to write home about. In conclusion I DO NOT recommend Debbie's to anyone who has under 2 hours to spare for breakfast. read more

Amazing food. Prices little high but well worth it. Staff is amazing and sitting outside on a lovely fall day only makes it better

The service was pleasant and polite. The kitchen was remarkably slow given that the restaurant was not crowded and the food ordered (eggs, a sandwich) was very simple. The food itself was fine. Not great but just ok. if I lived here, I might give it another shot given the other reviews. But if the experience repeated, I wouldn't go back. read more

Breakfast at Debbies today to continue the Giambotta tour of Utica. Seated promptly and the waitress was right there with coffee. Ordered a Giambotta with hot peppers (they offer a choice of hot, sweet or mixed peppers). We also ordered the French toast breakfast special. Food arrived quickly - well presented and the Giambotta had plenty of heat. Coffee had great flavor and waitress kept our cups full. Good food, great service. read more

The staff was friendly enough and seated us promptly. The 3 of us ordered almost immediately, and it took over an hour to get our food. 1 giambotte, 1 chicken deluxe frittata, and 1 vege quesadilla. Nothing super complicated. The place was also only half full when we got there. My chicken deluxe frittata was supposed to have chicken, tomatoes, broccoli and cheese. What I got was scrambled eggs with chicken and some cheese melted on it. Not even a hint of vegetables. And it was crazy bland. I had to douse it with S&P and hot sauce to make it taste of anything. The coffee was not very good either. I won't be back. read more

So good! Great choices. All of the breakfast items we got were great! Baked goods were amazing! Service was great! Will be back!

I had a lot of hype for debbie's cafe on my Utica (adjacent) diner tour. the coffee was good, giambotte very good, and the pancakes solid. the only The service was quality and i got free coffee refills. The only things i can really think that keep it from being a top notch diner were odd. First, the wife got a pancake special, which came with juice and the glass of juice was comically small. Pretty much a double shot. Just an odd choice in general, i mean apple juice is practically free so I'm surprised they couldn't jazz it up a little. Second, syrup packets. I don't know why I consider this such a cardinal sin, but particularly since upstate is maple country. I don't demand high end maple syrup but I'd certainly be fine shelling out another 50 cents on all pancake dishes for at least a bottle for the table. Weird choice. All in all though its pretty good diner that checks all the boxes. read more

Came here for Mother's Day and it was packed, had to wait a couple of minutes to get a table. The cafe has a modern look to it, every table had a ballon for mothers days, which I thought was sweet. I ended ordering the farmer's skillet. It's a mix of bacon, ham, sausage, potatoes, and eggs. The food was great but the service was extremely slow. I waited for about 40 minutes to get the food. I guess the food made up for the slow service. I'll be back. read more

Biscuits and gravy side bacon and coffee came to $25. That's insane. Also, asked them to top mug for coffee to go and they charged me for an extra cup. So $6.00 for two small mugs and abot 10oz in a to go cup. read more

It's a very cute place. We used to go all the time. But the food has changed. What used to look and taste homemade (home fries for instance) now are frozen out of the bag. Have not been back since the quality of food went down and prices went up. There are to many breakfast places that are wonderful (Breakfast at Tiffany's, Top Of The Morning) to settle for frozen cooked food. Service was good and they have outdoor seating, the only plus. read more

Come to Debbie's cafe every so often when I'm in Utica with my girl friend visiting her family. Every time we come to breakfast it never disappoints. The food always comes to the table is a good time and is always cooked to perfection. I have had no issues with service and everyone is always so polite. It is our go to spot for breakfast anytime we go out! Always will come back for more! read more

I just popped in quickly to use the bathroom. Not to cause any problems, I know most places say bathrooms are for customers only, which is only respectful. So I find a table, order a cup of coffee and chocolate pie. Both items are not anything that typically 'wow' or overwhelm. I've had worse, had better, so is just ok. For this place, coffee and slice of pie, about $8. You can buy a meal for that elsewhere. Maybe they are changing for the ambiance/atmosphere, which I don't think so. I get the fact I didn't buy any real food to give a real review. There is many other reviews saying how great the food is. Lots of seniors and regulars, I'm not saying they are wrong at all. Just nothing stands out as someplace I would crave going back to. Not bad at all, just common and mediocre/with some things overpriced. read more

Went for breakfast on a summer Sunday morning as part of a group of 8. We had a round table in the outdoor dining. The round table made the whole group feel together. I had the Giambotte which was a new dish for me. I had the meat one with a mix of the sweet/hot peppers. Delicious. My husband had the Eggs Benedict and cleaned up his plate. One other person in our group had the veggie quesadilla. It was a generous portion and they did not finish it. The place was full of people enjoying a Sunday breakfast out. We will be back. read more

Owner Deb is extremely rude. Barely acknowledges you when you walk in. Very small waiting area when you walk inside causing you to often be in the way of other guests coming and going. Never promptly greeted just stared at. You'd think if someone frequently ate at your establishment you would greet them with a warm welcome and smile. Nope! You won't get that here. Very unprofessional. Food is good but service just doesn't do it for me. Deb needs to become better at appreciating her guests if she wants her business to succeed. read more

Food okay after 1+ hour wait at table which had been reserved. Service was terrible. Waitstaff were rude. No handicap parking provided. Don't waste your time, ours is lost forever. read more

Power went out and we waited a little bit to go up and pay. When we went up, the owner said that we could only pay in cash. We asked when they knew when the power would come back on, and the owner said, "how am I supposed to know, your guess is as good as mine". I understand how this is an inconvenience for a diner...but be a little more respectful? We luckily had enough cash to pay. Not happy with the professionalism here. Food was good. read more

Delicious breakfast! Enjoyed a great frittata and pumpkin pancakes. Would love to come back.

Debbie's is a wonderful local spot. I had never been before until my grandfather insisted we go for breakfast a few weeks ago. He talks it up all the time so I was excited to finally try it out. For starters, the restaurant is SO clean! Always important, but especially these days. At the time, they still had their outdoor dining areas set up and it looked great (was a little too cold that day for us to eat outside and now that we're approaching winter I'm not sure if it's even still set up - but for future reference, lots of seating and well-spaced out!) Food: WOW the value at this place is great. I had the veggie giambotte and I think I was eating the leftovers for two days. It was delicious but I could never finish it all in one sitting! My grandma had French toast that was cooked to perfection - not soggy, not too dry, lots of flavor. My grandfather had eggs, toast, and hash browns and he ate every single bite (I was VERY impressed). The waitstaff was so pleasant and there are two floors, so plenty of seating to go around. I've only had breakfast here but will definitely be returning to try out the lunch options. read more

Found this gem in Bristol and unfortunately every time that I made the drive to up there it was Sunday and the closed early. So I made plans to wake the wife early one weekend and got there on time. Wonderful service and great food on a busy weekend. We went back the next day. Highly recommended.

I had the "eggs over hash" and wife had the "pepper and egg" sandwich. She raved about he sandwich. The eggs and hash was very good but I'm spoiled by a local Coraopolis joint that smokes the corned beef brisket first then cuts in into large cubes. The hash was a little on the salty side for me. Definitely not bad tho, by any means. Service was friendly and very efficient. Didn't finish half a cup o joe and breakfast was served. It was nice to see Debbie herself seating people and serving coffee. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. read more

The food is amazing. The pumpkin pancakes are to die for. Frittata is very good too! Highly recommend

Great breakfast and brunch, it's a very nice place and the people are always very nice.

Best place in town for breakfast or lunch. Consistency and quality meals. Deb and staff are awesome.

Sat at my table for over an hour waiting on my food. Didn't even get my juice before my meal, had to wait until the food came out. The tables in the upstairs area were screaming to each other, apparently they were not taught their inside voices. It also appears that if you're seated upstairs that you get subpar service at from your waitress. Have only seen her twice the whole time. All in all a terrible experience until the food came, that was their saving grace. 2/10 would not recommend. read more

Debbies!!! I am so glad she opened her own restaurant, as it is amazing! There is nowhere else in the greater Utica area that you should go for breakfast or brunch, ever. This is a nice location in a small strip mall just past the main intersection in Washington Mills. There is plenty of parking and dining space inside. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming as well as the staff. Check out the chalk board for their daily specials, which are always something you should be trying. At my most recent visit I had their daily special of Banana Bread French toast. It is just as it sounds, french toast made of thickly sliced banana bread, this was a wow. Their Greek skillet is another favorite and for some reason their whole wheat bread is just the best around. My parents also eat here a lot and have tried many different things. You really can't go wrong with anything you try here! Also, dont forget to try one of the home made pies Debbie makes! read more

This is my favorite breakfast place in the Utica area - and I've lived here my whole life, so I've tried them all. The staff is always friendly and even if it's busy, they will find you a place to sit and eat. Debbie herself is always in the restaurant making sure things run smoothly. The food has a homemade quality that can't be matched anywhere else. I personally suggest the build-your-own omelette. You won't regret coming here, promise!! read more
