Haven't been in a while since we moved but with the Holiday we were looking for a place that was opened over the Holiday weekend. This had been a diner staple for us given how close it was to our house. Creekside fit the bill and we were able to get in and get a table. Ownership changed and while menu had the same items, items were prepared differently. We opted for lunch given our favorite breakfast item was slightly different. Sandwiches were OK but were mainly bread and lettuce with very little bacon. Restaurant was not busy but we waited a long time for our food and had to ask about our food. Wait staff were friendly and attentive and came over several times to refill our drinks and make sure we had what was needed. This is a diner but one thing we liked in the past was the outdoor seating and holiday decor. Deck was closed as it was in need of repairs and no holiday decor. Would go back but would try something different. read more

Her friend came in and they talked for 20min. we hen my food came out it was cold. my benedict eggs were hard boiled. my hash browns were white. Stopped into the Creek Side for dinner on a Friday evening. Ordered their house greens for appetizer and the haddock special for the meal. Waitress took our order promptly and checked back often to check on the food and clear dishes from the table. The greens were good - plenty of heat from the cherry peppers and lots of meat. The haddock dinner was huge, five deep fried pieces of haddock over sweet potato fries (it also came with soup or salad - had the clam chowder but no pic). Meal was good, service good, inside of restaurant doesn't look much different from many years ago. Worth a try! read more

We go here occasionally, and always hope the experience will improve, but it does not. The service is very slow , and unfriendly . We waited 15 minutes this morning for menus, and then another 15 for coffee. The waitress rushed through our order seeming annoyed while we made our choices. Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday. Our group was 6 people. We were seated promptly. It was busy so it took a little time to place our order but our coffee was filled to make the wait go fast. We finally ventured out for a breakfast "date" and we were happily surprised by this local restaurant! They had distancing and masks so that was a good first sign :) The menu is a bit more breakfast based but we saw a few lunch options we are interested in trying. I would like to see more options for breakfast when it comes to meat products. My spouse is allergic to beef and pork- that includes sharing skillet space etc. They don't have any options on that side. We ordered a chocolate chip pancake and eggs special (I think they call it the Creekside Special) with the home fries (with the cheese/onions/peppers). It also came with toast (watch out for the butter- there is a ton of it so ask for light or on the side if you prefer it less...Soaked lol). The eggs (scrambled) were cooked well, pancake was great, home fries were perfect! Coffee was also pretty good for a local cafe style spot, and the OJ was great. The black tea isn't great and that was the only tea option. We also ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar, tomatoes were my choices) with hash browns. The hashbrowns were fine but not awesome, and the quesadilla was a bit pepper heavy so they dominated the dish. That said, it was still pretty good and grilled perfectly. Light on the eggs (and cheese but that's totally me lol!), but filling and delicious. The salsa on the side was fine. The best part was the server, Debra. She was fast, efficient, friendly and understanding of the allergy once fully explained. (She had the chefs change out the plate that accidentally had bacon on it and make fresh eggs- the sausage was already on the side on a separate plate. We had to eat around a few things just in case but doable and she was great). Overall this is a great spot and we look forward to becoming regulars. A few updated options (gluten free for our GF youngest kiddo, Turkey/chicken options for bacon or sausage, etc) would bring us more often but it was a good, quality meal that was reasonably priced and had great service! read more

Host/ Busser stated seat yourself along with sign. We sat in booth and after about 10 minutes went and got server to take care of us. Also watched another couple sitting right beside server station have to do the same thing. Had to get up and go to counter twice to refill my coffee and water. Servers are very polite, and food was worth the wait but I feel like seating the table would be a good idea so that they do not overlook people. also maybe have the busser/ host walk around with coffee pot to help with refills. Came here for breakfast after a night out with some girlfriends. There's very LITTLE to choose from around the central New York area when it comes to breakfast... And I mean GOOD breakfast food. I'm used to New Jersey diners. You can't even compare the "diners" and "cafes" around here to REAL jersey diners... It just ain't happenin. This is a breakfast cafe in New York mills next to McDonald's. It wasn't busy for a Sunday afternoon. Got here around 11:30. Waitress was quick and friendly. The food is tasteless. Even the coffee, it tasted like water. Blechhhhh. I had a spinach and feta omelet. Ummm they didn't even melt the cheese. The omelet was cooked with spinach inside, they cut it in half, sprinkled some feta on top and plopped the other half of the omelet over the cheese. Ok? It was very disappointing. The home fries looked and tasted 100 years old. Breakfast for 2 was $23 bucks. I couldn't even finish it. I wouldn't waste your money. Maybe the lunch is better? Creekside has a really nice diner breakfast. They also offer a full menu as well as having an ice cream stand. Since I only stopped in for breakfast, that's what this review will be based on. I ordered my typical 2 eggs, bacon, and rye toast. This particular day I was feeling a bit saucy and ordered half of a Belgian Waffle. Service was fast and friendly, and we were able to enjoy our breakfast on the outdoor patio (definitely a bonus point for this). My girlfriend tried the spinach/feta breakfast wrap which she liked, but didn't love. My eggs were very slightly overcooked, but not too bad. I plan on heading back sometime and trying the normal menu or possibly some ice cream - hard to mess that one up right?? read more

Came here for breakfast with my mom and it was SOOO Good! She had been raving about it forever. I had the greek skillet which was perfect. It came with a side of what seemed to be homemade whole grain toast which was also phenomenal. My mom had the blueberry pancakes which were also good. Food is good but the service is dreadful. My mother, husband and I went for breakfast over the weekend. Our order was taken promptly after being seated. We waited over an hour after the order was placed for our food. We ordered French toast, an omelet and stuffed hash browns. The restaurant was busy, but it appeared many tables already had their food. When a table of four who were seated about 20 minutes after us received their orders I stopped the waitress to ask what was happening and she said our order was in the window. We didn't receive it for another 10 minutes. Communication goes a long way in this type of situation. If we were told the kitchen was backed up or our order was misplaced, we would have been more likely to forgive the situation. There were no apologies and no reasons given for the long wait. read more

On a Wednesday morning around 8 AM, the place was virtually empty! I had 3 sunnyside up eggs, home fries, and whole wheat toast as well as orange juice and coffee. I never write reviews, but this is needed. The food was good, but the service was HORRIBLE! The waitress was not very personable, was not attentive, and when I checked out, she ignored me. Here's the reason - I was missing a fork, so I asked for one. Two minutes goes by, still no fork and I can't eat my food that's in front of me, that's getting cold. She completely forgot (the place wasn't that busy and it's not that big). I had to go up and ask for one from someone else. The food was a 4, but their service so poor that just 2 of us spent an hour there for breakfast. We had 3 full cups of coffee before our food came, and that was after we told them we were getting ready to leave! Not to mention it wasnt extremely busy either! We come here on a weekend for breakfast and somehow always get to see what looks like something out of the Sopranos; a bunch of Italian-looking old men show up at a central table to act like the upstate New York mafia--no joke! They laugh and chat it up and are very expressive with their hands and you may even hear them speaking Italian--that is--adding a vowel on to a word in English. Kiss the Don's pinky ring... I personally waited almost an hour for my meal, of which I was ordering solo. There was no apology or compensation for my wait, just for me to understand an hour for a breakfast order was ok. While seated near the register I also listened to at least 4 other customers voice concerns over their wait time or receiving the correct order. After the customers left, the staff either dismissed the concern or actually made fun of the customers and their situation. I had an excellent brunch at Creekside this morning. They had a recent change in management, and I had a great experience from the food to the service (thanks Ann!) to the general experience. I ordered an omelet with LONG HOT peppers. Instead of long hots it had canned hot cherry peppers. When brought to the attention of the server he knew they were cherry peppers and made no attempt to rectify the situation. This is FRAUD plain and simple and the owner should be held accountable. We went to the Creekside for my birthday, as I had been here about 13 years ago and I loved the food and the atmosphere. I heard it was under new ownership and had been remodeled. The reviews online were mostly positive. I was not impressed, however, from the minute we entered the restaurant the hostess was a little cool. We asked to eat in the restaurant and I felt like it was quite cramped. There were others in the room we were in and it felt like they were at our table, I could quote every word of their conversation. The service was slow and I think they only had one waitress on for the entire place. We waited a good 10 to 15 mins. before our drink order was taken and another 10 or so just to get the drinks. I found the menu to be quite limited in selection about 10 dinner choices, not a place to bring someone who prefers a wider selection of food and if you have kids I doubt they would like it. The food was good but for the price, cramped quarters and really really slow service it was not worth it (there were 3 of us in our party and we were there an hour and a half, most of the time was spent waiting).
