A bright, airy cafe with a soothing atmosphere, The Coffee Tree provides excellent coffee and delicious food. I had the autumn seasonal salad, which managed to be refreshing and hearty at the same time. I highly recommend it.
There's ample seating inside, though the metal chairs are a bit hard. One can also sit at a sofa, or on one of the wingback chairs in one corner of the cafe. Music plays unobtrusively, and it should be easy to have a conversation here unless it gets extremely crowded and loud. There is also plenty of lovely seating out front- though it is not covered, so it's best to go inside on rainy days.
There is a lot of lovingly-placed detail in here. Tables have centerpieces. Mine had a plant and a pumpkin. Speaking of plants, there are many beautiful plants around, both inside and out.
My latte was sugar-free, and it was so good that I was honestly a little bit concerned that it wasn't actually sugar-free, but my test strip at home didn't lie! They just used a nice syrup, a lovely coffee, and balanced it all beautifully.
The salad felt incredibly indulgent to me, as a new diabetic, but it also didn't turn out to have very much sugar, despite the apples and candied bacon! It's a lovely treat.
The staff were friendly and efficient. They thanked people as they went out the door, which I thought was very sweet.
I can see myself coming here to write! Remember, friends- if you hang out at a cafe for hours, please do buy something now and again, and tip well! It is the kind and supportive thing to do, so that they can keep providing a wonderful space for you to work or hang out in!
This place is only 6 minutes from my house, and I can't believe I've only just found it! read more
