My daughter and I are here in Cooperstown with my son's team for the Dreams Park experience. This place has been our go to every single morning as they have so many great options to choose from. One main reason why this place is our favorite is because they have gluten/dairy free options for my allergies. We love their breakfast sandwiches and desserts! read more

Stagecoach Coffee - The Uncas - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cooperstown, New York

On a recent stay In Cooperstown this became our go-to breakfast spot. The egg sandwiches, avocado toast and pastries were great and we enjoyed the coffee (even bought a pound to bring home). The service was hit or miss, but they were quick to correct any issue. Though it was chilly, the outdoor patio looked lovely. read more

Excellent coffee and gourmet pastry's. You can also purchase whole bean and grinded coffee bags to go. The chocolate cupcakes are delicious. Great atmosphere with lots of space for both indoor and outdoor dining. Come for the coffee but stay for the dessert read more

Very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow--we waited close to 15 minutes to receive our takeout order. To make matters worse, my ham sandwich had hardly any ham in it. It was mostly cucumber and lettuce. I was also disappointed that I felt obligated to leave a tip when paying for the order before I had even received it. I would have liked the opportunity to see the food and experience the service before deciding on a tip. Overall, the slow service, disappointing sandwich, and expectation of tipping before receiving the order made for a frustrating experience. I expected much better. read more

Best coffee and best breakfast I've had since visiting to date. The breakfast farkel Parker was very good along with the lox/ cream cheese. The store is cool because they're roasting on site in an open area by the seating in the back. It smells really good! The service was quick and sandwiches were neatly made. Coffee was the best I've had so far too. read more

We loved Stagecoach. It's a nice little spot across from the Hall of Fame with lots of seating or for grab and go food and coffee. The staff was very friendly. The coffee is well made and strong. The food was surprisingly great, including the tomato bisque and curried chicken salad. The breakfast burrito was good and fresh, but could use some spice. read more

In Cooperstown for a few days and went here for coffee first - big mistake. The coffee i was served was awful: overroasted into a taste that can only be described as acrid smoke. No beans at all and no other detectable flavor except burnt. The bagel however was fine - not superlative but fine - so I went again and stupidly ordered an espresso. Disastrous. They used the same beans! So are either serving a bad espresso roast as coffee, or bad coffee beans for espresso. Worse: despite specifying "for here," this espresso arrived in a to go cup. And not even one of those ridiculous to go espresso cups that america has foisted on the world, but a giant to go coffee cup. Needless to say any crema that might have rescued this flavor train wreck, by at least providing proper espresso mouth feel, dissipated in this comparatively enormous vessel and left me with a couple mouthfuls of liquid ash that i threw away. People please: espresso is not meant for paper cups. It ruins the mouth feel and makes clear how little the proprietor values the customer's experience. If you think espresso is meant to be a small, concentrated sip of brackish black then you need to visit a place that provides the creamy, complex fruit nut and spice flavors that together make espresso a palatal delight. In short: I've had worse coffee but never had worse espresso. If you need a quick breakfast have a bagel here then head a couple of blocks down for the marvelous coffee at the Local Bird. 2 stars because of the decent bagel. Averages out the 0 I would like to give the coffee. read more

The environment was very nice and cozy. The coffee had a very good taste and so did the chocolate chip cookies, perfect ratio of chocolate to cookie! The employees were very welcoming and were patient when we didn't know what to order, they also were very respectful and made sure we had a nice experience. I overall loved this place and would 100% come back again! read more

Was headed out of a wedding in town and wanted an afternoon cup. The ambience inside is great though it is difficult to park outside at the moment. Even though it was afternoon, there was a lot to offer in the case. I wanted a cookie avoiding chocolate, so I did not get a headache. Originally I was told the oatmeal did not have it, but they were wrong. They were quick to get it changed out for me and coffee was great. All around a good stop though it needs a bit of improvement on that consistency . read more

Main St Cooperstown doesn't have much in terms of specialist coffee brewers. Stagecoach certainly fits the bill. I can't say I'm totally bowled over, but I do come here each time I visit. The staff is super nice, and it's got a cozy homey feel. I've only gotten coffee to go, but I see people hanging out in the back, and I think they have a patio in the backyard. read more

Social media told me to go to this coffee shop when we were in Cooperstown. There was one gentleman in front of me with his son. I was standing to his left when he was ordering because it's like a wrap around line. After he ordered he went around to the other side to get his drink and I stood in front of the cashier. In the meantime, two women walked in with two young boys. At that point the cashier looked at me and said oh sorry, I believe these two women were here before you.... Um no. Politely said that I was behind the gentleman but I wasn't in the rush so whatever it's not a big deal either. And for whatever reason, two women just didn't say anything which I found very odd considering the fact that they literally were staring at me when they walked in. I went ahead and started to order. I just wanted an iced coffee but I saw that they have a Peruvian roast. So I asked if I could get that over ice instead of the cold brew. And he didn't say no. But he said that we make the cold brew ahead of time.... And I just said okay. I could tell he just it wasn't processing. Back home. I've done this many of times before without any issues. I got a small and the total came to $6 and change. I tipped a dollar. And then walked around to the other side and waited patiently for my drink. There was two girls working and one girl was stocking straws. I waited and I waited.... In the meantime, the two women who came in behind me, both of their drinks were ready and they got specialty drinks. I politely asked the girl if she could see it possibly he forgot to send my orderr over that I came in and ordered before the two ladies. I just had a cold brew with coconut milk. she just said " yeah, I'm working on it" then she turned around and tossed in some milk and put it in front of me and didn't say anything else. I felt like just by walking into the place that I offended everyone somehow. It's like everyone was rude from the people that workedto the customers. I was nicely in a linen outfit. By myself as my family was waiting outside for me. I tipped. Said please and thank you. Literally did nothing wrong. And then the icing on the cake.... The cold brew was probably the worst coffee I've ever had in my life. It tasted like water and instant coffee. Heavy on the mostly water side. So again I would not recommend this place. I can deal with that service if what I'm getting is amazing. I can deal with great service and what I get not being that great. But I can't deal with weird people working and weird customers and awful coffee. read more

Only game in town. And it's a good one. Food was good enough, ambitious, coffee was good enough, ambitious. The space is great, lots of places to sit. Plenty of people from out of town, which plays in many ways. Where'd I go again? I might have to. read more

Rolling out the Yelp reviews this July 2023! Stagecoach Coffee is simply the neatest, friendliest, homeliest and most convenient coffee (and sandwiches, soups) purveyor in Cooperstown. The store front is easily accessible and there is a lot of space, period. Space to browse the coffee bags, teas, sandwiches, salads, condiments and t-shirts. There is a place for a line. There are tables (plenty) to sit. Espressos at this place are heart-joltingly strong, punchy and flavorful. The girls knew how to make a double in a split second and their menus are very well lain out. To go with my espresso and a drip of cream, I ordered some Cannoli and they were out of this World! Really, really well made (awesomely well-filled) and delicately drizzled with chocolate chips (see pictures below). I'm no neophyte to the New York City coffee sphere - but I have only just realized this Spring that Stagecoach Coffee is a 'somewhat'-chain. They are a coffee chain that is branching out slowly, but only easing into their new locations; which I believe is really smart: Stagecoach Coffee will not lose that small-town vibe, image, taste, relaxing interior and friendliness this way! Stagecoach Coffee is the REAL DEAL!! There is nothing, and I mean nothing that this discerning Yelp reviewer would complain about. Stagecoach Coffee has strong, well blended coffee. Stagecoach Coffee has really delicious (they are competitive with cannolis from bakeries) cannoli and a full menu of sandwiches, salads, soups. Top notch staff! Review: 5+ read more

Stopped in for our Java hit one morning while on vacation. Soooo many choices! I really wanted to try some of the baked goods but I opted to just get a coffee with almond milk. Since we're on vacation I know a lot of our meals were going to be out and I wanted to try and keep my breakfast a little more clean. The coffee was great! I think technically it was decaf cold brew with almond milk but I'm not 100% sure. I love how it looked when it arrived, the almond milk looking like ribbons through the strong coffee. It was fantastic! read more

Stagecoach Coffee - Cold brew with almond milk before the stir - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cooperstown, New York

A Cooperstown classic still maintaining their quality product after all this time. Love this place!

Real good coffee. Salads not so much. Why are the ingredients chopped in teeny tiny pieces?

Was in town visiting the hall of fame and this place is just a short walk from the hall of fame, so great to go and grab lunch. The iced teas and my husband's turkey club panini were good. I was disappointed in the curried chicken salad sandwich! I don't know if it was an off day or what but it was extremely salty. Not very good and if I go back would not order again. read more

BEST LOCAL PLACE FOR COFFEE & BREAKFAST. I stopped at Stagecoach a couple times for my morning coffee while I was visiting for a couple days. The coffee is good and is ready pretty quickly. Like you may have seen in other reviews, be prepared for a slight wait if you order breakfast. I ordered food one day and just coffees the next. I didn't mind the wait for the food but knew to expect that going in. They are very busy in the mornings and most people are ordering coffee and or some kind of menu item so I can understand the wait for a local shop making things to order. The breakfast burrito was good and unique. The bagel and homemade chive cream was also very good. I also really enjoyed my oat milk latte and thought the staff did a wonderful job handling the amount of people that pass through. There's also extra space in the back of the shop and a cute outdoor patio to enjoy your breakfast and drink on a warm day. Hope you enjoy Stagecoach as much as I did if you're in Cooperstown! read more

Visiting from out of town and was looking for a coffee shop for a cappuccino. Happened to look at the desserts and was tempted by the eclairs. I wasn't disappointed- they are a nice size and had lots of custard. Probably the best eclair I have ever had! If in the area give them a try! read more

Coffee was delicious. They sold their in house beans of their flavored roasted coffee. Their breakfast is another story bland and basic nothing to write home about. We had a breakfast sandwich (basic and bland), yogurt (sugary), bagel and cream cheese and a green smoothie which everything was basic. They have a cute coffee shop but I would stick to coffee and smoothies. Unfortunately we were unable to have their paninis so don't have anything to write about that. read more

UPDATE: I visited this morning after my workout and coconut milk was available for my latte. #winning Once again, it was delicious and the barista was extremely pleasant. The pastries were plentiful and looked scrumptious. Wow! This coffee Shop offers the warm and fuzzies. It is large and spacious with plenty of seating. Both coffee and food options are vast. The pastries looked delicious and my guess is the patrons agree because many were sold by 8:45 AM when I visited. There are multiple syrup options for coffee beverages to include gingerbread so I was over the moon at the opportunity to enjoy a gingerbread latte. Unfortunately, coconut milk isn't an option. On a bright note, almond milk is available. The cup sizes are generous and a medium mimics a Grande at Starbucks. This is a great place to chill or get some work done. There is plenty of table seating throughout the venue; however, there's countertop seating at the front of the shop and the views of the Main Street are lovely. I bet it's outstanding in the winter months when the streets are covered with snow. My visit occurred on a rainy day and the rain on the window panes was simply delightful. I needed to finish some time sensitive correspondence so I parked myself near a window. The goodness of my gingerbread latte along with the serene vibe and cozy vibe allowed for more fluid thinking. I'm beyond smitten with this coffee shop and will definitely visit one more time before I return home to South Florida. More important, the baristas were efficient and friendly. If you find yourself in Cooperstown, I highly recommend visiting Stagecoach! read more

This place is crazy popular! I've seen lines out the door on numerous occasions. Whether is it employees on Main Street, the local EMS workers with their ambulances parked outside, or tourists for the National Baseball Hall of Fame museum, everyone needs a caffeine fix!! Stagecoach is everyone's go-to. Service is great here. The cashiers are very friendly. I enjoy their "Green Machine" kale smoothies. Their green tea latte is also very good. I like that Stagecoach has paper straws as an option. I think this option does need to be perfected as my straw melted into my drink within 30 minutes. But still glad there's an eco-friendly option. I was given a gift card for this joint and decided to get something I wouldn't normally have time to wait for. I got a smoked salmon bagel. It was so delicious. The salmon with cream cheese, slices of tomatoes, black pepper, red onions, lemon juice and the capers on top. So delicious but took a really long time to make. It took almost 25 minutes for this bagel. I would order it again in a heartbeat because it was so good. I actually did want to buy another one, but because of the amount of time it would take, I didn't. Stagecoach holds a near and dear place in my heart. My school, SUNY Oneonta serves Stagecoach coffee. So since I worked in Cooperstown this summer, I had to get som of the Stagecoach coffee from the source! Thanks for always being awesome and keeping me caffeinated through the day! Stagecoach is a great cafe because they are very mindful of sustainably sourced items. The fruits in the smoothies, yogurts, honey, breads, and pastries all are sustainably sourced and local. There is a ton of seats. the front of the cafe, near the waiting area, a room in the back, and even outside in the back! Street parking is available, but is a lot more difficult in the summer season. Friendly, warm service on a cold and snowy Friday morning. Stopped in for two latte's and I was immediately greeted and welcomed. A charming establishment that offers a variety of items and according to I believe the owner when I asked what is their busy time, he replied that they are busiest at lunch time. He mentioned their new ordering app had boosted their business. He discussed a few unique attributes about the community and asked where we were staying. I mentioned the Otesaga Resort hotel and he said that his wife was the artisan baker providing bread and some of the desserts. He offered me a coffee card that didn't expire and shared that spending Saturday morning at the farmers market was definitely worthwhile. They start selling their wares at 7 am. Unfortunately, we are leaving early afternoon for home after we visit the National baseball museum. I highly recommend this location for great coffee, service with a smile and the information I learned to round out our visit. Thank you for a great experience and visit. read more

The recommendations for all the Cooperstown restaurants and shops were a lot to absorb. I came here five times while we were in town...FIVE.
