Pizza is solid doesn't raise the level but the garlic knots are very yummy. Worth it alone

We'd ditch most other places for Gemelli's if we could pay $50+ every time we got pizza.

They have a rotating menu that they list on their website (www.saltcitybread.com). By the time I got there mid-afternoon, they were sold out of their seeded (sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds) sourdough. Plain sourdough loaves are $10 and the sourdough with inclusions are market price and range from $12-14 it seems. I got their chocolate chip cookie (with flaky salt from Syracuse Salt company) for $3.25, and it was delicious!! Thick cookie with crisp edges and a soft, fluffy center. Huge chocolate chips too! The flaky salt brings a nice balance as well. Will definitely be back!

This little bakery is very cute and offers a selection of different breads as well as sweets. The service is excellent and welcoming. These people know how to do bread WELL. I have tried their italian bread, focaccia, and their braided sesame bread-- which are all phenomenal! They have some sandwiches on their menu as well as some coffee available. On this occasion we ordered: - Braided sesame bread: this is my absolute favorite bread here. The presentation is beautiful, and the bread reminds me of a more savory challah with some salted olive oil hints that remind me of focaccia. The softness of the bread and the density make it so satisfying. It is perfect with both sweet and savory pairings. Super addictive--a loaf usually does not last longer than a day in our household. - Turkey sandwiches: we got a whole sandwich split into two halves. Size is pretty generous and one half is definitely enough for one person. This sandwich, although simple, stands out for its high quality ingredients. It came with generous sliced turkey that was not too salty, delicious gouda cheese, high quality mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The white bread is made in-house and feels super fresh and fluffy. They were super nice and gave us two bags of chips to compliment our dinner even though we technically ordered only one sandwich. We got it split into two separate containers and my fiancé and I each got our own pickle! Perfect option to get to-go. - Peanut butter cookie: I initially wanted to try the chocolate chip but they sadly ran out. However this was actually an amazing cookie. The thickness was perfect, not too thick and not too thin. It had nice bits of peanut butter and the cookie itself was super buttery, soft but with a nice caramelized crust, and not too sweet. There was a surprise Reeses PB cup in there which was very pleasant. Very good cookie! Cannot wait to come back and try their chocolate chip one. Overall, this bakery is a 10/10 and a very great asset to the area. Even though their selection is limited, I think they really focus on doing the few things they do VERY well. I love how local and homey this business feels. Their baked goods are all amazing and I will continue supporting them whenever I am in Manlius. Highly recommend Salt City Bread! You will not regret it.

Well before it's charming renovation, back to when it had leather bar stools at the bakery counter and Jim in the back making the best apple fritters you've ever had. I come whenever I'm in town and it's always good. I think more than anything I come for the nostalgia. The Rice Krispie treats are always a solid pick and I enjoy them a lot. Same with the smiley face cookies, the bakery frosting is the best. I got a parfait for the first time since high school though and was sorely disappointed. They used to use wake robin yogurt (which I do remember them discontinuing some years ago), but now the yogurt is SO sweet. Overall it makes the parfait too sweet with the homemade granola and blueberry coulis. I couldn't help but notice how much smaller the parfait portions are too. They used to be full sized cups and now they're nearly half their former size which was definitely disappointing considering the price has certainly not gone down. In summary, the bakery will always hold a special place in my heart. Been going since I was a baby. The treats are good, sandwiches are solid, and they have a wide variety of beverages. Steer clear of the updated parfait though

Not my first time at EAT but I figured it was time for a review!…read moreThis place is super convenient nearby my work. Hours are from 7-1 most days I love love love the ambiance of this little cafe. They always have some relaxing music playing and the interior design feels so groovy! I'm a big fan of Recess coffee, this cafe uses the same coffee so they're winning in my book already. Plenty of flavor choices to choose from with a pretty extensive breakfast/lunch menu as well. Today I got an iced latte with marshmallow. Their marshmallow flavoring is closer to a toasted marshmallow and I think it compliments the espresso well. I usually get a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. But today went out of my typical order and got their special Breakfast tacos! And I loveddd them! The pancakes were soft, I enjoyed the mix of sausage bits and pepperoni bits, the eggs were scrambled. I hope they keep them on the menu for a while longer so I can get them again If you've got a few extra dollars, I suggest trying them out!

They also own Chelsea's Restaurant & Bar located across the parking lot from E.A.T., at the corner of Velasko Road. This 1,600-square-foot café is a cross between their full-size diner and the coffee shop. A counter stretches the length of the front windows with tall stools and plenty of charging stations for electronics. The dining room also has eight tables that each seat four customers. My wife and I met some friends at E.A.T. for the first time recently. It's a nicely decorated cafe, plenty of parking lot spaces available. We were able to easily get a table for 5. We all placed our orders, which were brought quickly. I ordered the chicken & waffles special, while my wife ordered the country biscuit dish. The chicken & waffles was said to have a hot honey maple syrup, but there was no heat to the syrup at all. The chicken was chicken tenders, which was fine, but they did not have a very good texture - they were somewhat rubbery and full of tendon. My wife enjoyed her biscuits, but her, and the rest of the table, agreed that their home fries were undercooked and grainy. We also tried their Lucky Charms special latte, which was good. Prices were decent, employees were mostly friendly. Not sure it's a place we would go out of our way to give another try.

We started out both getting the Dutch Mules to drink; which was a nice crisp take on a classic Moscow Mule. I also got The Stapleton later; which consisted of a fine whiskey, triple sec, OJ, and some other additives which was like drinking a whiskey mimosa without the bubbles. Super delish! My wife got the Knickerbocker sandwich on the special list, and I got the Huckleberry panini. Both very satisfying and satiating in their own ways. Both came with homemade in house chips covered in light spices We loved it, and will be back! Reasonable prices without cutting costs; which is definitely appreciated these days.

I ordered the Beef of Weck and Potato Salad given past reviews seemed to deem these two items as menu staples. The potato salad was fine, in need of a big pinch of salt. The Beef on Weck was a hardy, and a big portion for a sandwich, the extra horseradish wasn't necessary unless you're really a fan. However, the sandwich should be eaten with the au jus, otherwise it borders on flavorless. I did find the bun overly salty. Filling but not fufillying. Additional note... When I went to pickup the staff member wanted me to sign off on a receipt of the full amount without the discount. When I stated I paid online, he responded it had to do with the fact DoorDash doesn't allow for a tip. When I asked for a new bill representative of what I paid, the manager came and said they ask for the signature to confirm it was picked up... Then I said, I can indicate that here on the app, and he agreed and let me go with my food. Overall the interaction made me uncomfortable as I've never experienced a similar situation with pickup. Perhaps just me, but something I feel someone should be made aware of if they're ordering to-go.
