I have purchased food here for take out and was waited on by this individual several times. Initially, I thought maybe she was just having a bad day and thus gave her the benefit of the doubt for her dismissive behavior. She doesn't smile or greet you, speaks abruptly, and acts put upon while doing her job. This place desperately needs to hire a cheerful, people person to deal with the public. Keep "Dour Dolly" in the back kitchen. Due to the just okay food, the expense, and the unwelcoming atmosphere, we have decided not to return to this establishment.

We got the Hunan Chicken combo and Szechuan chicken combo. I have never had Hunan chicken before, so i googled it before ordering. Sauce sounded amazing! With chilis, ginger, garlic, soy. None of those flavors were in the sauce. Szechuan sauce, nothing like what it's supposed to taste like. The vegetables in both combos were very fresh but since the sauce was on everything and was just awful. We couldn't eat it. The worst of it all was the lo mein. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I even ordered the house special lo mein, thinking it would have extra flavor or something. I had 1 fork full and couldn't stomach it at all. It was awful that the combos were truly, trash - Never again.

Location was 15 minutes from the fitness center I was at which was perfect. Mind you this is nothing special to look at but the food was amazing !!! I went in with low expectations and hope given that divey places have some of the best food and it did not disappoint. The other plus was this restaurant did have tables for eat in dining. Food was brought out piping hot by the sweetest young woman. Prices were reasonable and portion sizes were huge. I ordered a small order and ended up with left overs to bring home . I f you are looking for linen table clothes and napkins this isn't the place for you but if you are looking for amazing chinese food, clean restaurant, and warm and friendly staff this is the place to go. This comes highly recommended and if I could give more stars I would. I will definitely be back.

The food itself was hot and fresher than many other types of locations. The interior is fine, clean for ordering. I ordered coconut chicken, a dish I am always chasing to find after my favorite restaurant near my old college closed, and was pleasantly surprised by it's lightly sweet flavor. The chicken was not fully crunchy as you'd look for in this type of fried chicken dish but the serving was a good portion and had plenty of sauce. We also ordered steam pork dumplings and shrimp toast... now the shrimp toast is something you should not skip! It was very good, and better than many I have had from other restaurants. Not too oily and had a good amount of the shrimp sauce.

There were more pros than cons and overall it was a solid experience. The pros: -the ambiance is gorgeous, Asian decor is tasteful and modern. -the service was kind and attentive. -the soft traditional Chinese instrumental music playing in the background was nice. -tea was on point. -they have a traditional Chinese dish menu in addition to the primary Chinese American menu. -the beef teriyaki on a stick appetizer was hands down the very best part of our meal, succulent and perfectly cooked. Could have had a plate of these. The cons: -price is high for what you get. $26 for lo mein is steep. -the main entrees: You would anticipate the food being a bit better and/or elevated than your average Chinese takeout, but our main entrees were on par with our regular Chinese takeout place. I ordered the Peking shredded pork dish and my SO ordered roast pork lo mein. We both liked our dishes just fine but after the incredible appetizer, they were a bit underwhelming. The service was great and presentation of food was refined but i didn't walk away feeling like the value was all there, except for the app. Great place for a date night.

Lately though, something has changed. The food hasn't been as consistent, and I've noticed dishes trending more oily and a bit too sweet than they used to be. I also have to agree with the reviewer that talked about the front counter guy as he acted like he was afraid of me. Don't get me wrong, I am not one to poke fun at one's disabilities...he should've been placed somewhere else in the restaurant.
