After trying to nail down a reservation for another Turning Stone restaurant, we hesitantly made last minute reservations at Peach Blossom. There were more pros than cons and overall it was a solid experience. The pros: -the ambiance is gorgeous, Asian decor is tasteful and modern. -the service was kind and attentive. -the soft traditional Chinese instrumental music playing in the background was nice. -tea was on point. -they have a traditional Chinese dish menu in addition to the primary Chinese American menu. -the beef teriyaki on a stick appetizer was hands down the very best part of our meal, succulent and perfectly cooked. Could have had a plate of these. The cons: -price is high for what you get. $26 for lo mein is steep. -the main entrees: You would anticipate the food being a bit better and/or elevated than your average Chinese takeout, but our main entrees were on par with our regular Chinese takeout place. I ordered the Peking shredded pork dish and my SO ordered roast pork lo mein. We both liked our dishes just fine but after the incredible appetizer, they were a bit underwhelming. The service was great and presentation of food was refined but i didn't walk away feeling like the value was all there, except for the app. Great place for a date night. read more

If you've never had asian cuisine, by all means, come here, and you will still be able to say you've never had asian cuisine. The Sugar Chicken (insert a half dozen menu items here) is at least on par with Panda Express, albeit at 8x the price. Fried here means bread crumbs. Not panko or batter,, and Crab Rangoon is served up here as "Fried Crab and Cheese Ravioli", possibly to cater to the locals, but more likely because the chefs forgot the real name. The service and ambiance at least are excellent, a welcome respite from the chaos of the casino. As a bonus, the napkin I got was folded to hide copious bloodstains. No joke. 100% would have not-chinese here again! read more

We love this restaurant, probably one of the best Chinese restaurants on the eastern portion of the country. I couldn't believe it was in a casino complex. It's comparable to the best ones in Toronto and NewYork city. If you compare it to those in San Francisco it would probably be in the top five. Our favorite dish is the Honey Glazed walnut Prawns. Fantastic and delicious. Add a second dish either fish, beef or vegetable and you can't go wrong. A tip don't add a rice dish because they will give you white rice or fried rice for free with the dishes you order. The white rice is really fluffy and the fried rice is flavorful. There will be so much you will be taking a quart size container home if you take both. Free hot tea and fried noodles so be careful or you will be stuffed before the main course. Also if you let the server that it's a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary they will also comp you with a small dessert. Can't say enough about this place. Only downside is they are only open a few days a week. So make sure you call and find out when they are open. read more

Made a reservation for a group of 11 of us on a busy Saturday night and we had a great experience!!! We had two dedicated servers who were on the ball, extremely kind, professional, and efficient. When we sat down they had complimentary tea and wonton crackers with duck sauce on the table (1 on each side which was wonderful so we didn't have to awkwardly pass or reach for everyone to enjoy). They also did that with family style sized portions of fried and white rice. We all enjoyed our meals but the standouts of the night were the crab Rangoons (wontons), the hunan beef and scallops (they were in such a delicious sauce, the scallops were big and tasted fresh), the walnut shrimp (again an amazing sauce), and the orange chicken. Really everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, can't thank them enough for such a flawless experience for my sister's bachelorette. read more

The Peach Blossom was our first night's dinner at Turning Stone Resort & Casino. My husband and I liked the ambiance. It's a small restaurant with a thoughtful table arrangement that allows for quiet conversation. They have an interesting menu of alcoholic beverages and I liked mine but can't remember its name. :-) I ordered the fried shrimp spring rolls, served with duck sauce, and they were very tasty. My husband had the fried crab and cream cheese wontons which, quite honestly, were more cream cheese than crab but OK. For our main course, we ordered Peking Duck to share which was crisp as it should be and flavorful. The pancakes that accompanied it were folded origami-style and, sadly, tore when opened which made eating the Duck a bit messy. Interesting to note: our duck had four legs and no wings. ;-) The fried rice which came with the Duck was boring. It was brown rice with a bit of sauce, a 'hint' of egg (I found two tiny pieces), and nothing else. No veggies, onions, or anything else that one would generally expect to find in fried rice. Service was very good. We noted that the Manager was busy bussing tables when things got busy - always impresses me. Because of this, the restaurant deserves 3-1/2 stars. One last comment is that we never received a receipt for our meal (charged to our room) so we don't know if the senior discount (generally 15%) was applied. At check-out, the front desk was unable to help us. We were told they have no access to the actual bill showing the charges, only the final cost. And since the restaurant doesn't open until 5 p.m. and we were departing, we were unable to get any answers. :-( read more

Peach Blossom has a quiet, intimate atmosphere, but was still able to accommodate the group of 11 I was with. The food was delicious and portion sizes were huge. First off- I am used to eating all kinds of Asian food and I love them all- Laos, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean etc. so flavor is important to me along with spice. Food- We ordered Pad Thai, Veggie Spring Rolls, Steamed Spicy Chicken Dumplings, Chicken with Ginger and Scallion. Friends ordered Blossom rice and other dishes I didn't try so those won't be in my review. The Pad Thai was very bland and I would not recommend. Didn't get any of the tangy, sweet and spicy flavor I'd normally expect with this dish. The best Pad thai I've had in Syracuse would be from Thai Love Ny. The chicken with ginger and scallion dish was also extremely bland. Would not recommend at all. I had maybe 3 bites. Spring rolls were average and the sauce was too sweet. I'd say I had better ones at other places. The dumplings weren't bad, actually it was the best thing I had that day. They were supposed to be spicy but there wasn't any spice at all. The complimentary fried rice was also very bland and just had egg and a few veggies. I tasted my friends Blossom fried rice and that was actually very tasty but she ordered it with pork and the pork flavor was overwhelming for me personally. In the end, I probably would try something different if I came back to this place. But it's somewhat pricey so perhaps not for a very long while. read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat at the Turning Stone Resort...for the apps...the chicken lettuce wraps are absolutely the best we have had, dumplings and spring rolls are also solid choices...the Mongolian beef can be prepared anyway you want it..wellness and spice...the peach blossom chicken is also a favorite...the peach adds a ton of flavor to the sauce...rice is always prepared well...the waitstaff are excellent and always go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience...well worth a try! read more

First time at the casino & first time at Peach Blossom. Decided to come here on a Thursday night for my birthday. I did make a reservation for 2 at 6 pm but when we arrived it was very empty. We were seated immediately & given water & crunchy Chinese noodles with duck sauce. I could have made a meal just out of those noodles. They are so good! Fried vegetable spring rolls that come as a order of 2 for an appetizer came out nice & hot. They are served with duck sauce & were delicious. I ordered peach chicken & my husband ordered sweet & sour chicken. Comes with white or brown rice & a large portion for the table to share. The portions are huge for the entree & definitely shareable. The peach chicken had curry flavor & very mild peach flavor which I wish was more. Only 3 pieces of peach came with the chicken & it was canned peach. I wish it had more peach flavor, more peaches & fresh peaches. The sweet & sour chicken was your standard but had good flavor. They brought me out a free funfetti birthday cupcake with delicious frosting. I think it was a bit stale though as it was hard to get a fork thru but they have been from being in the fridge. A couple next to us celebrating their anniversary received a free piece of cheesecake. Staff was very friendly & attentive. We did bring home leftovers & my husband did find a uncooked piece of chicken in his food which is pretty gross. All in all it was a pretty good experience. read more

Unfortunately I have to downgrade. Not something I enjoy doing but necessary for the sake of honesty. What was good was the Peking Duck and The Singapore noodles. The Tempura style shrimp was nice too but what on earth was that sauce supposed to be?? The Satay was dry and served with a chili sauce, not a peanut sauce. Also, the pancakes were folded up like origami and sticky so it's difficult not to rip it to pieces whilst trying to unfold it. Bad: The Yong Chow fried rice. The shrimp were unevenly cooked, some almost raw, some overdone. Chewy meat, not good quality and very, very bland. No seasoning at all and with no soy or chili on the table, a big thumbs down. The hostess was excellent but the service diffident. I asked twice for extra hoisin and twice for fresh tea. Both orders were acknowledged but neither appeared. Our waitress needs to get her finger out and try listening....and remembering. I wanted to cut her tip by 1/3 but she's very lucky that my wife is nicer than I am. They need to do better if they are going to enjoy my patronage again because it's an expensive restaurant and you don't really get what you are paying for. read more

WARNING: This place does not serve authentic Chinese nor Thai food. The restaurant is however a very beautiful one. If you have a date and you want to test and see if your date knows good food, definitely bring him/her here. If he/she says it's good, dump them immediately! If it's the other way round then it means they have a very sophisticated taste bud and will be a good companion for a while. Point is if you are paying a hefty bill, you might as well get something out of it. We ordered seafood tom yum, seafood with black pepper sauce and egg plant The seafood is not fresh, and they can't make frozen seafood taste good. The prices were a little high but it's a fancy place. At the end of our meal, an older couple were seated next to us. I was very glad they weren't there the entire time - I would have felt uncomfortable with no privacy since it was quiet and the table next to you was basically close enough to hear 100% of what anyone is saying. read more

Located inside the Turning Stone Casino, Peach Bloosom offers better than average Asian food. The menu is mostly Chinese with a bit of Thai mixed in. I started with the Tom Kha Kai (chicken in coconut broth) soup which was ok but not great - the hot and sour Szechuan that the table next to us had looked like a better bet. I had the Singapore noodles that were tasty (I ordered hot and it was in fact - hot!) and my husband had Pad Thai. I had a bite and it was ok and given that getting Thai in Verona would require a drive to Syracuse or Utica, worth getting. My mother in law and her friend both had fried rice - the portions were huge and they each brought home enough for a least another meal if not two. I didn't try it but they both said it was very good. We were worried about service as there was a large party seated right next to us but we either made choices that were already prepped or the waitress put our order in before theirs as we got our food quickly. Overall service was ok but something was missing - not sure what but definitely could have been more on the mark. One really odd thing was the table had a nice candle lamp sitting in the middle but they immediately took it away to make room on the table and there was a big stack of lamps off to one side of the dining room. We had crab ravioli for appetizer and I had some spicy chicken dish for dinner and the food was just mediocre. It didn't taste like it was fresh. This fine restaurant is located inside the Turning Stone Casino.The decor is interesting as they have it set up in a spiral so you are seated in smaller secluded nooks. The food was very nice sized portions of better-than-decent Chinese dishes. The food is served on individual covered platters and you receive empty plates to encourage sharing. most dishes are served with white or fried rice. The only odd part about this restaurant is that they do not serve any asian-inspired desserts. (it was creme brulee/cheesecake types of desserts.) Walked up to the restaurant about 7pm. They said they didn't have a table for 1 until 8:30pm. I make a reservation & they said they would call me if anything opened up sooner. They didn't. I walked up at 8:15pm bc I noticed the place dying down from the bar across the way. They seated me right away as there were empty tables. Of course they put the party of 1 right by the door & by the family with a little child. My server was slow. The family that came in after me got their food first. Sangria was weak, waste of money. Had Father's Day dinner and the food and service were both excellent. I recommend the hot and spicy chicken dumplings for an appetizer. The dinners come with both white and fried rice and we also ordered a side of lo mein noodles for our table. Entrees were fried sea bass, salmon and prawns, general tso and sweet and sour chicken. The food is above average, but a little pricey for what you get (even by restaurant-in-a-casino standards). If at Turning Stone, I'd go to the Upstate Tavern and Pino Bianco prior to Peach Blossom, but still it's a pretty good restaurant. The Peach Blossom restaurant at Turning Stone offers fine Chinese food dining. We were promptly seated in a quiet spot. I enjoyed the closed concept layout of the dining room. It provided a bit more privacy than a large open space and seemed more comfortable. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken with eggplant and was pleasantly surprised with the large tender eggplant pieces. The chicken was juicy and not dried out at all. The brown sauce was not too sweet nor too thick. I like that both fried and white rice are provided for the table. I don't know if they do that with every dish, but it was nice to have the choice without asking. It was a bit pricey, but it is in the casino and it is much better than your average chinese restaurant. I would highly recommend this place for atmosphere, food quality and service. If you're looking for a cheap date, then avoid it. If you have the money, its a good choice. I will eat here again. read more

They have a traditional Chinese menu here which is something that you normally find in this area. Prices are steep but the food is excellent. The servers are very attentive. There is a mandatory 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more which is normally fine but because of steep prices ($20-$50 a dish), it does get a little steep. On Valentines Day my girlfriend and I had the worst dinner experience of our lives at Peach Blossom. We are both in our late twenties, and ordered a bottle of wine with our entrees. After the waitress scanned our licenses, which is no issue as the worker was just doing her job, she relayed that my girlfriend's ID wouldn't scan for some reason. A security member came over and said, "I know it's fake, so just tell me the truth and all we have to do is take it." Astonished, because it's her actual license, she then answered the security member's questions about things on her license (address, organ donor, etc). She answered everything correct as it's her legitimate ID. They then took her license and didn't come back for 40 minutes while we sat there waiting to order food. No one let us order. At this point, we wanted to leave but couldn't because the security member had her license. Security then asked my girlfriend to get up, leave her seat, and follow them. This is where things started to get weird. After a total of 40 minutes passing by, they berated her with questions about the infrastructure and streets around her childhood home like where certain gas stations and streets where. The fact that they looked up her childhood home on google earth is extremely creepy and invading. They could have looked at her credit cards, debit card, work ID, or anything else in her purse that shows who she is, however they crossed a big line. They almost didn't even give her license back. Once we got it back, we left, got food elsewhere, and got drinks at three different bars within Turning Stone Resort Casino in which her ID was scanned successfully (Lava, another restaurant, and two of the bars alongside the actual casino itself). We came to upstate NY because I'm stationed within 1.5 hours of here in the military, and I heard great things about Turning Stone. Unfortunately, this extremely rude and almost stalkerish experience has ruined the reputation of this establishment for us. The security staff is incompetent and shouldn't be able to degrade someone with the rude words they used. The immature security staff at this specific restaurant crossed several lines and absolutely ruined the Valentine's Day reservations I have had for several weeks. read more

I wish I read the reviews first. The staff isn't very friendly but average. I ordered the Paht Thai and was very disappointed. It honestly tasted like hot and bland. Hot, as in temperature not spice. The head of the place asked me how it was and I requested some of their hot sauce. Added that and flavor was added. The prices were also high. We recently went here for a birthday dinner, a party of 6. Having been here 3 times before, we expected same great experience. Alas our was seated next to a large boisterous party of apparent restaurant professionals. Our waitress was aware of our disgust at our loud obnoxious neighbors but it seemed to be beyond her control. No one came over to our table to discuss this with us or to the adjacent table to tell these boisterous diners to be considerate of their neighbors. We foolishly assumed that maybe our bill would be adjusted due to their unwillingness to confront the boisterous table. Alas they did not. On our way out I did again express our disappointed at our neighbors. The response was an insincere sorry.
