They are simply fantastic. I had purchased Lindberg glasses from them a year ago, and today one of the nose pads fell off. They replaced both pads (even though only one was broken) with genuine replacement parts, ALONG with new temple pads in the span of 5 minutes. No questions asked. No charge. Joon went above and beyond expectations. I came in already knowing what I wanted, a pair of Lindberg glasses. Joon was quick to help and was very patient. He helped me size my glasses and figured out which style best fit my face. I custom ordered my pair with the help of Joon and he said it would take about 3-5 weeks. The glasses came in after 3 weeks and they were exactly what I wanted! After about a couple weeks, Joon texted me asking how the glasses were and I replied saying they needed some very minor adjustments. I went into the shop and Joon was quick to help, once again. I usually go to the Optometry office across the high way in the 99 Ranch plaza, but after years of poor customer service and long wait-times for my prescription to arrive, I decided to go to People Optical. I went in to buy a new pair of glasses as well as repair my old ones, and I was kindly greeted by Joon. He was polite and efficient in repairing my glasses (a micro-screw had fallen out and he quickly replaced the plastic screw with a much sturdier metal one) and in helping me select a new frame! Of course this place has five stars. I would give it six if I could. The optometrist, Dr. Kim, was incredibly patient with me. The prescription was on point. I've had bad prescriptions before so I know what it is to have a bad optometrist. I think his name was Harry, he was super patient. John was also really good. Got an appointment same day on the weekend and glasses were ready in an hour! It was like being at optometrist in Korea, except everyone could speak English really well. The glasses Eye exam was $40, and the lenses with all the bells and whistles for $70. I brought my own frames. I would definitely be back. read more

People Optical is the first optical shop that I have ever been to ever since I moved out from Arizona to irvine a year ago, and so far I had really good experiences with them, so it is also the only optical place I would go by first choice. Visited them twice: one from a year ago when I moved to here, desperately needing for a new pair of glasses, the sales representative patiently helped me picked up my perfect Lindbergh frame and I still wore it everyday with no issues at all. The second visit was recently that I needed to change my lenses, the sales representative Jooh who explained to me very well of the characteristic of each lenses and told me about what I don't necessarily need to save the money, and what I can have to add-on to protect my eyes. Called in and spoke to them in regards to lenses (very courteous over the phone). I came in with a 3rd party prescription and new frames. Out of the 5 places I called this place was the cheapest. They gave me polycarbonate lenses with UV and scratch resistant coating for $70. They said it would take about 30 minutes. I broke my previous glasses so I needed them that day. The only place that came close to the price was Costco and that took 3-5 days. If you're looking to save some dough and need your glasses that day.. These guys dominate the Irvine game! This is the absolute best place to get your prescription, glasses, or contacts. The selection is pretty great and there is a lot of high end stuff. They also have great looking, more affordable stuff too that is great quality. The prices for everything is relatively affordable as well. The store is in a convenient location and clean/comfortable. But what really sets them apart is their service. 1) If they are not in your insurance network, they help you with the insurance forms that need to be submitted for reimbursement. This was very helpful for me since I'm not too comfortable with all the insurance. 2) I travel a lot and have recently moved out of southern california. On multiple occasions, they have sent me my prescription (via email) to make things more convenient for me when I'm in a bind and need replacement glasses or contacts. 3) Through everything they do, they seem like they genuinely love to serve. I was looking for Lindberg frame for a long time, and fortunately this store carry it. The boss is a Korean with decades of experience as a optician in Korea. He is very professional and nice, and he also offers very reasonable price for Lindberg's frame. His store is not in my vision plan's provider (blue view) list, but he mentioned that by not joining the insurance network he can provide a much better price. The reason is the insurance company only pay partial of the eye wears, so they have to make price high to get the money back. If you come here, you can enjoy a reasonable price, and the my insurance provider also reimburse $99 for my glasses (lens + frame). Also it also provides Zeiss Individual 2 progressive lens. As far as I know, it's not even an option in my insurance plan. If you really want a nice eyewear without the constraint of insurance plan, I strongly recommend you to visit it and check for it. One more nice thing is they collaborate with a professional optometrist. The doctor is very nice and knowledgable in explaining patient's questions. Even if you are out of the network, the reimbursement from a general vision provider can be up to $49, which is enough to cover the cost of the examination. read more

Had a great experience here. I was searching for a place that carried Bvlgari and it turned out very little places do - the places I did find all marked up the frames way too high. I stumbled upon this place while getting Starbucks and decided to browse and see what they had to offer. Luckily, they carried Bvlgari and at a fair price! They were able to order the exact frames I wanted but I decided to go with a different frame that was similar and in stock. I was able to be examined by the optometrist immediately. One hour later, I got my brand new glasses and I can FINALLY see lol. The guy who helped me pick out my glasses was so incredibly patient and friendly. I think his name is Sam but I don't remember :(. He even filled out the paper work to send to my insurance to get reimbursed. I'll definitely come back to get my prescription sunglasses! read more

I used to buy glasses and lens in LA where usually cheaper than Irvine area. After I saw couple reviews, I decided going this place. This place is a really fantastic. Cheap, nice staffs and good selections. If you have a vision insurance, they will take care of reimbursement. They never try to sell expensive brand glasses. They were asking you what type of glasses you are looking for and recommend to good price one which is promotion one. I have a really bad eyes so I had to spend $120 for lens but only spent $29.99 for frame. I ended up only $149. I usually spent more than $200 for minimum for my glasses. I will definitely visit again next year. read more

Great service! Good selection of eyewear. They have Oliver Peoples, which is surprisingly hard to find at other optometrist locations. They offered discounts! (I've never seen Oliver Peoples with discounts) They have a lab onsite, which allows them to fill your prescription rather quickly. After about a week, I felt the fit of my new frames were a bit tight, and they adjusted it for me. Cost of the eye exam is even cheaper than Costco. Highly recommended. read more
