Dr. Rude is the perfect eye doctor - experienced, efficient, caring. He really works to find a solution that is right for you. In my case, I needed distance correction but am now also needing readers to see better up close but don't want them so we did a wonderful solution that seems to balance everything out where I don't have to wear readers, and my vision (near and far) is the best it's been in awhile. Very nice people. I got my yearly check up for glasses and contacts. I had a Living Social deal, it said you have $150 to use towards frames and lenses which was misleading because you have to have the frame there to be able to use the $150 off. So I ended up having to pay $135 extra for the lenses...when I could have gotten it free with just the prescription when I ordered my frames online...which was a little frustrating for me. I ended up getting contacts for half a year and the lenses for my glasses and spent about $390 plus the $49 I paid through Living Social. read more

Wow...worst customer service I have ever received from an optometry. I was so ready to get a pair of glasses done here bc of the $75 for $100 deal but the girl at the front door drove me out of there so fast!!! When I walked through the door I was expecting a warm welcome, what I got instead was a blank stare from the girl at the front desk. Feeling awkward, I smiled and said "Hi!"...still she just stared at me. After a few minutes of looking at some of the frames and realizing that the frame that I wanted was not in stock, I had to approached the girl bc she still hasn't offered me any help or even said a single word to me. I asked her if they would be able to order the frame for me. She replied saying that they could but it could take up to 6 MONTHS for me to receive my glasses. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I had just came from a different optometry with a quote saying that they could get the frame within 5-10 days! Needless to say, I walked straight out of there called the other optometry and had my glasses done with them. That girl was the only one in the shop and she really had no clue what she was doing. Dr. Rude is the best eye doctor, and I would never go to anyone else. He is personable and professional, and he truly cares about his patients and eye health. As a first time patient, I was very satisfied with how quick I was in and out of the office because I didn't have to wait. Normally I can expect to be at my go to optometrist for at least 1.5 hours regardless of the fact that it's appointment based. Dr. Rude was very professional and informative. The variety of frames they have is amazing! I was looking for an optometrist covered by my insurance that carries Chanel frames and found this location. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I made an appointment and left work early to get there on time. I waited for an hour for the Dr. to show up. When they called to tell me my glasses were ready I asked them what time they were open on Sat. as that was the only day I could get back there. I was told they would be there until 6 PM. I told them I would be by before then. I left a gathering early so I could get there by 5:15 on Sat. and the doors were locked. Every time I have called back since I get the answering machine. I got a call back on Monday with an apology and was told they would see what they could do to make it up to me. I have called back twice since with no response. At this point I'm just looking for a refund. read more

I had an appointment over the weekend, and while you have to keep your eyes peeled for the location as its literally right next to Banana Republic, I had a GREAT experience here. The store is beautiful and calming and the staff was very helpful. The doctor was great. He was very attentive, very friendly, and really took his time with me. crystal coast optometry is amazing! a beautiful optical selection. they had in stock the exact prada sunglasses i was looking for. their quality and selection is excellent. i worked with Dr. Do who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the frames. i was so happy i decided to order additional precsription prada glasses as well.
