Our family and friends come to Peltzer Pumpkin Farm every year and unfortunately this event was quite disappointing. Though the activities were great, the cleanliness was awful. The trash cans were overflowing. We didn't see anyone cleaning up. The bathroom facilities had no toilet paper, no gasket covers nor paper towels. Even the air dryers were not working. Amazing wine selection, and even some great draft beers. Aesthetic could be slightly better, and the place definitely caters more towards the younger crowd. When trying to wine taste and have a more exclusive experience as a guest to Temecula Valley, it does not suffice to an exclusive venue. However, Peltzer does have great wines and great servers and my boyfriends absolutely loved the Cali Cream ale. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're a regular in the area looking for what seems to be a solid community winery. read more

This isn't a negative comment for the winery itself, as I've never been, but a comment for their Ice Rink experience or lack there of.. I booked tickets to ice skate with my fiancé as a surprise as she's only in town for the day. I received a single phone call last night (12/17) with a brief message that had zero information regarding the private event being booked. I tried calling back to the number that was left in the voicemail, shortly after receiving it, but there was no answer. We didn't receive any sort of follow up today regarding the phone call last night to inform us of this event change. We had are evening planned around this event and we feel the lack of communication is/was very unprofessional. The manager on duty Alec was kind and offered free hot chocolate, but that isn't enough for the poor execution on the miscommunication, lack of follow up for this event/evening and most importantly disrespecting our time and planning. We are extremely disappointed and would like a refund for our purchase as we will not be coming back to skate here. read more

This review is specifically about the ice rink. My family and I frequent several events a year put on by Peltzer and have always appreciated all the time, effort, and hard work that goes into making special events happen at their winery. They really do a great job offering things to bring families and the community together, but my experience at the ice rink yesterday was something I thought I'd share. Since purchasing tickets online was experiencing issues and couldn't be done, my son and I decided to go and buy them in person. We had two small families in front of us. Signing the waiver on the iPad was fast and efficient, but buying a ticket from their box office was painful and caused us to lose out on 15 - 20 minutes of ice time. Looking around, there were 3 - 4 people inside the skate rental shed, about 2 - 3 people at the Sugar Shack (I think that's what it's called), and after waiting in line to purchase tickets we presumed that it would be pretty quick, but there was only one cashier and iPad being used to sell tickets to people. Around the 10 - 15- minute mark I asked the young man if there was another cashier available, so he went inside and spoke to the two young girls working inside, but nothing changed. Both of them seemed to be fixated on whatever was transpiring. I work in a similar industry and I know issues can come up that are out of our control with WiFi or POS systems, but we essentially lost out on 15 - 20 minutes of ice time, which my son was sad about, due to the fact that the line wasn't moving at all. I am very patient and understanding, but the process of buying a ticket was slow and inefficient, and if Peltzer is wanting to maximize their profits off having people come and enjoy their rink, which is really nice, they need to get people's tickets sold to them in a quicker, more efficient manner. Every one I dealt with was super pleasant, and we enjoyed our time there other than that. read more

Peltzer winery has been our day after Thanksgiving family tradition for the last several years. I am sad to say I will NEVER return to Prltzer again! We were asked to leave the picnic tables because the area is now 21 and over. We had a sleeping baby in a stroller away from any other guests. We went to Peltzer for the Pumpkin patch. This place is pretty expensive for the little kid activities. It was $20 for my two girls to go on the horses approximately 3 times around in a TINY circle. One of the girls looked miserable and was on her cell phone the entire time. She didn't engage with my daughter once. :( We bought plenty of tickets $$$ for the kids to have fun. We had just enough tickets left for one of my daughters to go into the petting zoo. She went in and got startled by one of the animals. My MIL went to get my daughter and an employee raised her voice and said that'll cost you a ticket or else you can't come in. My MIL explained she just wanted to reach for my daughter's hand to take her out because she was scared. The employee stated again she needed to buy a ticket and walked away. She didn't even walk my daughter out of the gate. Then after we left the petty zoo we heard a commotion. One of the animals got out of the gate. The employees were chasing the animal. It ran by me so I grabbed the collar gently. Another employee walked up grabbed the animal and said to me you can let go now! Not a thank you or anything. That's when we decided to leave. Maybe it just the pumpkin patch. Hopefully the winery is better. This was our first experience at this winery. read more

Late review as i went for the holidays, but definitely coming back as their sangria was delish and i wanted to try their slushie drink. Loved how they decorated for Xmas and that they had an ice skating ring. Also good winery option for families as there is an area that kids can have some fun on select days and areas (believe kids not allowed on the winery section on Fridays and Saturdays). Parking plenty even if you have to park in the dirt lot, but not too bad of a walk. As for the winery there is an option to buy the winery's cup/mason jar drink for $28 that includes a drink and the refills are discounted. Cup was cute, but was not sticking around for long to enjoy the benefits of the discounted refills. Maybe on another occasion which i do plan to come back. read more

I had an amazing time at Peltzer Winery! I stopped in on a rainy Monday afternoon, and it was exactly what I was looking for in wine country. I was greeted right away, the team at the counter was very welcoming. I was given a brief overview about the winery and started with the wine tasting. The prosecco rose was my favorite. 5/5 stars for Dani! She was so knowledgeable about the wines, friendly and enthusiastic. She really made my time here so enjoyable. Peltzer Winery is beautiful. It's rustic and charming, warm and cozy, and unpretentious. The people were friendly. The vibe was cool. The wines are amazing. Plus, there are so many lovely spots to take pics. Review on ice skating rink only! We had a good time at the ice skating rink. It was nicely decorated and the staff was so kind! This was easy to book online and the price was fair. Our skate time was scheduled for 12:00 pm which I believe is the first group of the day. The ice was so scraped up and not smooth at all. I'm not great by any means but it definitely caused a lot of people to fall. My husbands skate rental cut into his food and ripped out a portion of his skin. read more

My mom always insists on visiting wine country in Temecula whenever she comes to visit from Chicago, and we ended up here following a recommendation from another winery we visited. Immediately (on a Tuesday) we were met with a great looking food truck, 5-7 groups of wine tasters, a beautiful barn and fantastic wines. Kelsey was superb behind the bar being patient with our group wanting to try one or two before buying a glass (even with a line forming behind us). This tasting room looks like something right out of a catalog and the winery grounds are gorgeous! They also have a selection of beers for those that don't fancy wines and a plethora of souvenirs! We came on a Wednesday evening during the holidays and were so pleasantly surprised at the size of the grounds, including the ice rink. The decorations and the music were bumping, and the family fun was in full throttle. We unfortunately could not skate because the sessions were full, but we took for next time we are in town. The red sangria was a hit with our group, and got a couple of the 'souvenir' cups to share amongst us. There were other options like hot chocolate and the like for the family too. In the "main" building, the decor is rustic / barn with a bit of a modern flair. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside, and a stage where there was somebody singing. There was a cookie decorating activity that we paid for, and enjoyed the cookies as well. Overall, a great visit and can't wait to come back again soon! read more
