So a year ago I received a gift card for this place and knew of only the airport location (inside) to use it, but they dont accept and you cant use it online. A year later I finally found one on my way to Disneyland. To put it simply, I used it and gave the rest to someone in line as I doubt I would go out of my way to come back. I loved peet's coffee, but after today's experience.... I am no longer spending a single a cent at another peet's coffee establishment ever again. My order is very simple, double shot espresso over ice with oat milk. I've gotten this before and the baristas have always made correct. Today I went in and had to have my drink remade because there was a significant amount of ground espresso bits at the bottom of my beverage. When I asked for a new drink I was told by the heavy white barista that it "is supposed to be like that" and that "it's natural". I myself work at a coffee shop and know that there should not be any ground espresso bits left over in any drink due to the fact that it makes the coffee EXTREMELY bitter and is considered a bad shot. I drive out of my way to indulge in pete's coffee but after making me feel uncomfortable for not liking a drink i get here often you lost a loyal customer. p.s before i left i overheard her stating that she doesn't want to be here displaying a negative attitude therefore resulting in poor coffee making. read more

This review is past due but they really deserve another great review. I've been a Starbucks client for over 10 years and the experience I had at this location set the bar higher. The ambiance is nice, good place to do work related things, the drinks were made exceptionally well. They serve a wide variety of custom made drinks and holiday themed items. I came to this location for the first time today to get breakfast before work. When I walked in, I was grateful to see that there were no other customers in the store waiting for their orders. That way, I would be able to be in and out quickly... or so I thought. I ordered a latte and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was ready pretty quickly and I was happy. Now I only needed to wait for the coffee. Although there were no other customers in store, I waited in store for 15 minutes to receive my coffee while the baristas ignored me and filled the mobile orders for customers who weren't even there yet. They saw me waiting there for so long for one coffee, why not make my coffee first so that I can be on my way, before making the mobile orders for the customers who aren't even there yet?!?! Had a lazy morning and decided to doordash some coffee/breakfast - chose Peet's on a whim and was very satisfied! It's like a step above starbucks, for the same price! The iced caramel latte with oatmilk was quite nice, they left in separated with syrup and espresso on the bottom and milk on top, which is always pretty. The blueberry muffin was surprisingly moist, a solid muffin. The breakfast burrito was also super good! I'd definitely recommend for a quick coffee or snack! read more

Literally the worse coffee I've ever had in my entire life. Friend and I got two sugar free vanilla lattes, one iced, one hot. Made the mistake of trying them after we left. They both tasted so sour. Either the coffee was old or the coffee was burnt. It was so bad that they went into the trash. They were inedible. Emailed back and forth with headquarters for nearly a month to get a refund. I am one of those that need to be up early in the morning, especially during the week. So, my coffee is always need it. So, I drove along Ventura Blvd and for whatever reason I always missed this coffee-shop. Finally, today, I made it, even though, the parking spot was tiny, the whole area is cozy. They have a lovely patio and I think you can even bring your dog! What else? Their coffee is a little strong for me, that's the true! And their pastries could be improved. Time now for "Peet's: A Love Letter". Among the medium to large specialty coffee chains, they are consistently very very good. Perfectly suits my palate, anyway. Peet's makes the BEST delicious de-caff. So clutch. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with their de-caffeinated offerings. Can't say that about other big coffee retailers. There's always a wide, interesting variety of blends, beans, roasts and special edition flavours (even for de-caff!). Plus, Peet's is more generous to begin with. For the same amount you might spend on a Venti or Grande, you get a bigger, tastier cuppa here. More coffee for your coin. More java for your george. More b... Okay, I'll stop. The company regularly promotes check-in freebies. Peet's also provides unlimited, complimentary WiFi at all retail locations. No time limits, no code required. This Peet's location has a friendly warm atmosphere, and the baristas are really nice. The company really takes customer service seriously and hires accordingly. Vegan. Pumpkin spice lattes. Need I say more? Upon hearing about Peet's vegan holiday options, I knew it was time to ditch my usual Starbucks run and hit up Peet's. I came in and asked for a large vegan PSL topped with the advertised vegan coconut whipped cream that I've been hearing so much about. To my disappointment, the barista told me that they were all out of the vegan whip. :( I'm happy that it's in high demand, though! I still opted for the vegan PSL, but without the coconut whipped cream. As always, the cashier was friendly as can be and the store was oozing with hipster charm. My coffee was made quickly, and came out piping hot, with plenty of foam! My inner white girl was jumping with joy! This coffee was nothing short of absolutely wonderful. It tasted nothing like the overly-sweet Starbucks version, it was perfectly sweetened and actually tasted like pumpkin! I would describe the flavor as a pumpkin pie thrown into a blender with a shot of espresso added in, that's how much it actually tasted like pumpkin! The foam was both delicious and abundant, the perfect combo. I sipped this coffee down in a matter of minutes, and it left me feeling satisfied and energized! My husband is a curmudgeon. I came to Peet's last week to get him a special coffee from Rwanda that is unavailable from Ralphs. However, I neglected to have it ground for his coffee pot. Since he was especially crabby about it, a drove back down to Peet's Studio City at 6am where they kindly and unexpectedly replaced my beans with a fresh bag of ground Rwanda coffee. I wish I could give NO STARS but I can't. I went with my brother to try the Vegan breakfast sandwich and coffee but I ended up having the worst experience. First, I bought 2 sandwiches and I only got 1 and I order a Mocha coffee, I got Matcha!I went to talk to the guy who took my order he said I only bought 1 sandwich and a Matcha when I paid almost $23.00. I've always loved Peet's Coffee, and this place is exceptional in terms of service. I regret that I didn't catch the barista's name, but she was the perfect mix of efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism. She was singing a few notes as she was making coffee, and it was just the thing to brighten up my day before I had my drink. The coffee was great, and so was the green tea latte I had during my second visit. There is a small shared lot at the location, so parking can be a challenge there. I had some time to kill, so stopped into Peet's. SO great. 1. Great music! 2. Really good coffee. Way way way better than Starbucks! 3. Amazingly nice employee. 4. Clean bathrooms 5. Sometimes they have Yelp! check in deals. I got $1 off my drink! I ordered my pumpkin chai (super good, btw) and disappeared to the bathroom for about 8 minutes to change my clothes. When I came back the super nice and friendly employee said, "Oh, there you are. Your drink might be cold. If it is, I'll make you a new one." It was still pipping hot, but really?
