My Oh MY! I love Alfred's, it's my favorite coffee stop. Not to point fingers but Cameron definitely had a special touch when it comes to my order. I like this location a lot because they've got a huge parking lot in the back of the plaza, including free valet if needed. They have good wifi and the vibes are always immaculate here. This is my final visit to Alfred. The stars just keep dropping. Today, I was told that Alfred does not carry whipped cream. I called three different Alfreds, and indeed, they do not carry whipped cream. I was also told to use Five Guys for the restroom because there is no customer restroom. I called three different Alfreds, and indeed, no customer restroom. That's a whole lot of contempt for your customers. I ordered a hot chocolate, and it was barely chocolatey. I took it back in and asked if they could please make it more chocolatey. The barista looked at me and said, "What do you mean? Do you want more mocha in it?" I said, "Whatever you use to make your hot chocolate chocolatey, please put in more." She looked completely baffled, and a different barista took over and remade the drink. I know that Alfred has a huge following, but for me, this is a one star establishment. In addition, they have been out of pastries on all three of my visits. I was told by the barista that they always run out by noon. Management should probably make sure to order more, so they don't run out by noon. I'm very grateful to Alfred. They have plenty of tables and chairs outside on the patio. Customer service at this location is also great. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent customer service. That's what we appreciate about Alfred Coffee is that they are consistent with providing both delicious coffee drinks as well as excellent customer service. The iced lavender latte is worth every single dollar I own to my name. I would pay over 20$ for the largest size they have for this coffee. It actually tastes Iike real lavender and not that artificial sweet flavour. 100% recommend it if you like a strong coffee flavour with the best mix of a delicate floral lavender. read more

However, something happens after those first few sips, as that wonderful flavor seems to disappear, at least if you purchase the iced version. Came here to get a latte after a vigorous morning workout! I placed the order on the app and it was ready when I arrived! I lucked out and found a spot in front on Ventura Blvd at a meter. The cafe was really cute and was nearly empty when I arrived with open seating both inside and outside. It was bright and clean and felt cozy. The service seemed friendly as well and the drinks were well organized so I found it right away. They did a great job of labeling it! I ordered the lavender latte with macadamia milk and it was very rich and creamy! I loved the lavender flavor and it had a pure herbal taste and was just the right amount of sweet. Wanted to stop by for their event with cosrx but missed it by a little! While we were here we still wanted to enjoy some drinks. We got the vanilla latte and the vanilla matcha. Both drinks were a bit too sweet for me but the more you drank it the more balanced it tasted. I got the vanilla matcha with oat which was very smooth. I would get it again but definitely adjust the pumps of vanilla. The service was great and quick which made the trip even more enjoyable. This has to be one of my favorite Alfred locations in the valley because it has ample seating indoor and outdoor. It also offers a parking lot in the back which is accessible and convenient. the drink was fine. Overly sugary like all chains but still good. The staff seemed aloof. I wanted a pastry until I saw the bugs. I mentioned the bugs in the pastry area and she didn't seem to care, just smiled. I'm wondering if she just didn't hear me. Alfred is in a cute little plaza that has a ton of seating, perfect spot to work remotely or even just chill for a hour (or two!). The food is pretty decent. I like their burritos and the baked goods. I typically get one or the other as they are pretty decent size. I wanted to love Alfred SO bad. I gave Alfred multiple chances and I just cannot with them. Every time I have been here, there is a crazy line and my order somewhat always comes out lackluster. Not because they get it wrong, or because it's an off day. I think I simply do not like their drinks. My partner however has a different opinion than me and insists that its good. There are too many neighboring competitors for me to settle with them so I will not be returning on my on will (lol). read more

This is a really cute yet cozy coffee shop. There is a ton of seating if you plan on hanging out with your coffee. The baristas were really welcoming and friendly and made my drink extremely fast, so fast I thought it was for someone else. I ordered their famous vanilla latte iced and in the large size. What's not to love? Open early, consistent drinks, and solid baked goods and food items as well. They may be my favorite matcha in LA. I love their Matcha Americano and their velvety Matcha Cloud Cream (the Espresso one is great too). Supposedly their vanilla latte is the bomb dot com but I haven't even had a chance to try it yet because I love their matcha so much. If you're a fan of Maru Coffee (which has discontinued their matcha cloud), I urge you to try Alfred because their matcha lacks that overly grassy taste. Enjoy!!! read more

Alfred Coffee is a chill spot with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. If you're going for coffee alone, I think you'll be satisfied. I had a lavender latte and it was very tasty. One of the things I personally use to determine a coffee shop's greatness is the temperature of my hot drink when it's served. They nailed it. Sippable right from the start, without a hint of being burnt. Not borderline iced coffee, and not tongue-melting hot. A little thing, I know. Aside from the coffee, the rest of the experience was mediocre. My breakfast sandwich was...fine. Not very much flavor. Same for the vegan blueberry coffeecake muffin. Light, fresh, tasted homemade. But also, kinda just okay. However, certainly not bad. The food is a bit overpriced for the quality. The service was also good. Friendly enough staff. It's a nice place to sit and read or have a chat while having a good latte. But if you have time and opportunity to look elsewhere for food then that might be the way to go. read more

First time at this new location. Nice to have one SLIGHTLY closer to home I guess? Would have made more sense to have opened in Woodland Hills or Encino. The ambiance is a different vibe from their other Studio City location. There is more seating here in comparison so that's always a plus. I was so excited when an Alfred's opened up closer to me, but it's turned out to be a big miss. Besides having adequate amount of parking, this store is lacking compared to the Ventura Place location. I pick up a matcha latte 3-4 times a week from Alfred's. When I order at the Coldwater location, they hardly put any matcha in their drinks. Once mixed it looks like you're drinking milk with a tint of matcha. Whereas the Ventura Place location when you order there it's always a very vibrant green color. It's literally a night and day difference. I stopped coming here although the Coldwater location it's closer to me. Customer service is also nonexistent here, no one acknowledges you or says hi. I don't have a problem with workers having side conversations, but don't deliberately ignore customers especially when there's 4 people working behind the counter. read more

I really wanted to love this location due to how close it is to home but this was my third time here and third time being disappointed, some of the staff is truly so kind but the gentleman taking my order made the experience so unpleasant, I wanted an iced cappuccino because their lattes are always far to much milk and said "we don't do that" offered a latte with a "short pour" which is fine but I'm still being charged for the larger sized latte just half filled? You can see in the photo the latte is only half full. It also tasted like mud water. I miss Alfred having baristas that pull shots. The specialty offer experience is gone. I was happy that this location was closer to my work, and I recently ordered an Uber eats order for a 24oz drink and a croissant. Unfortunately I received a 16oz drink after waiting so long and spending so much; just to get the wrong size. I did call to let the team member know and he offered a free drink as a remedy. I didn't want to be extra about it so I went today paid for a new drink. I ordered the same drink in the 24oz but it was made wayyyyy too sweet for my liking they went ham on the chai liquid they use. When in the past my drink has been less sweet and tasted more balanced. It's really starting to feel like the inconsistency pattern will continue. I can tell there's a lot of new staff that's training and learning but there should be more quality control overall if this location looks to keep clientele. read more

I have ordered from this spot usually from Postmates. I really love their cloud cream coffee it is absolutely delish and ever since I discovered it I never went back to Starbucks, but I guess now I need to be on the lookout for someplace else because the owner is not caring, very cold, and such a rude person. I visited the actual location two weeks ago (AND MIND YOU THE LOCATION IS FAR FROM MY HOUSE) and I didn't even know that they don't accept cash, WHAT KIND OF LOCATION DOES THAT?!?! I was surprised but despite this one of the workers was a lovely lady who paid with her Apple Pay and I gave her cash instead. I was very thankful for her and got an amazing coffee with an amazing mood. BUT TODAY, I was very upset as I spent MY WORK TIME, MY GAS, to visit this location to enjoy another coffee but no one was nice enough to have the courtesy of helping and we give them cash instead. When I like a location I rave about them to everyone, but this time I will be recommending my connections to look elsewhere for their coffee. This is truly unbelievable as they should be understanding. The owner said "I don't have cash", but that is not the issue, like the first time I visited, the worker told me if you have exact change I can pay for you instead, which I did (and I even gave a $3 tip out of respect and she gave that to the business.
